Damian-

I weighed my options wait another week for food or go with her. "I'll come." I said. I hope she wouldn't think I was weird. The little I ate, and the rate I shoveled it in.

Carissa: I smiled maybe a little too big when he agreed to come. "Okay! Where do you want to go? And, uh, Damian, I hate to bring up money again, but I can pay if you want... I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be pushy about the subject."

[Charlie]

Damian-

I usually went to the pub, but she would not like that, "You can choose where to eat." I gulped, "And about the money, its fine." I wanted to be a gentleman and pay but since I had no where near the money to pay for myself their is no way I could pay for the both of us.

Carissa: "So does that mean your paying for yourself? And I like the Cafe down the street."

[Charlie]

Damian-

I gulped again. I had no money for that, plus that cafe was expensive. I would go with her but not eat problem solved. I wouldn't have to pay. I shakily said, "Sure." They wouldn't have Guinness their but I guess I could swallow my fear and drink a glass of water.

Carissa: "Oh, no, no, no! Not that Cafe, the other one farther down. Reasonable prices. Are you ready to go?"

[Charlie]

Damian-

"Give me a sec." I packed all my stuff up, and went to the alley. I put the stuff in the pile of stuff that shouldn't be meantioned. I lingered their for a second, this was going to fail, stuff like this always did.

Carissa: I felt like either crying or screaming. Damian was so sweet it seemed, why did he have to live like this?

Keith-

"So..." I said attempting to fill the awkward gap. I failed. I realized my hands where huge in comparrison to hers. Of course I was huge in comparison to her, I was practically a giant.

"You're not the conversationalist, are you?" I observe, sliding my hand out of his grip reluctantly. Sensing how uncomfortable he was looking, I softened my tone. "Would you like to go to the cocktail bar?" I offer, even though I don't actually drink. Finally feeling comfortable, I remove my hand from the pocket with the gold chain, beginning to trust him.

[Charlie]

Damian-

I prayed she never had to look down this alley, at my home, if you want to call it that. I came back, and gave her a gentle smile.


Keith-
"Eh, not really." I smiled when she said bar thought. Cocktails weren't my thing but I was sure I could get a Guinness, if I begged enough.

Carissa: "Okay, are you ready now?"

Damian-

"Yeah." I gulped. Remember no eating, I told my self, I didn't have the money. I felt a knife jab in my stomach from hunger. I tried to remember the last time I ate, about two months ago. I had to stay calm, I would be able to eat soon I wouldn't let it get that bad again.

Carissa: I felt a tear slip down my cheek. I sniffled, "Alright." I wiped my eyes on the sleeve of my dress. If only he would just let me pay. Although I thought he would be able to pay for a meal at this Cafe. I tried to compose myself quickly, why was I feeling so emotional over a guy I barely knew?

[Charlie]

Damian-

"Lead the way." I smiled. I noticed a tear, "Are ya alright?" I asked.

Carissa: "Yes, I'm fine, thanks. Let's just leave." I started walking.

[Charlie]

Damian-

I followed. Wondering when this whole thing would fail, at the door, when I denied food, or when the waiter heard my voice. I had a flash back of that cold street and rain. I wasn't going to let it happen again, I promised myself.

Carissa: "We came to the Cafe and I opened the door. I walked in and sat at a table.

[Charlie]

Damian-

I got a few looks. They didn't know my race, but a piece of filth was not generally accepted in a place like this. I felt out of place. I sat at the table with her. My hear pounding.

Carissa: "Oh, calm down. Everyone knows me here. If you're with me your safe." I leaned back in the chair and waited for someone to wait on us.

[Charlie]

Damian-

She could say that but it meant nothing. We were getting weird looks. I put my elbows on the table, and my head in my hands.

Carissa: "Alright. We're leaving." I stood up. I put my hand on my hip and stood over him.

[Charlie]

Damian-

"Why?" I asked. Nothing wrong had been done, to my knowledge.

Carissa: I sat back down to not cause as much attention to ourselves. I talked in a low voice, "Damian, you're miserable, I can see that. I don't like it, I don't know why I care, but I do. Let's just leave, go for a walk or something?" I put one of my hands on one of his dirty ones.

[Charlie]

Damian-

I looked at her becoming a complete hypocrite. "You need to eat. What's it worth if I'm miserable, this is nothing compared to what it could be." I said. "I promise I'm fine." I grabbed her small delicate hand, my huge one engulfing her.

Carissa: "Alright..." I felt myself go a little weak under my touch. "I do need to eat." Then I added quietly, "But so do you..."
