"Okay then," she shrugged, holding onto the wall walking up the stairs. Jared was behind her making sure that she didn't fall off and crack her skull; not too graceful for an ex gymnast, eh?

Amara yawned and stretched her arms above her head. She opened her eyes and sat up. For a moment, she entirely forgot where she was. She expected to see a light purple room, with her stuffed animals strewn around, Sol and Luna running around in the doll house, and her mother shaking her awake. What she actually saw was a plain grey dorm room and Scarlett trying to wake her up. Sol and Luna sat on the nightstand, looking at her. She yawned again, yesterday had been a very tiring day.

"Now, today is Saturday so we have less lessons and a later lie-in but we've got no boring lessons like history, they're all action packed!" she smiled, picking out some clothes for Amara as she tried to wake up, "Do you want a drink before we go down for breakfast?" she flicked the kettle on; she was surprisingly on a high right now.

Amara slid out of bed, slipped off her pajamas, and pulled on the clothes Scarlett had laid out for her. "Is there any apple juice?" she asked. She was very thirsty. Scooping up Sol and Luna, she asked uncertainly, "Does 'action-packed' mean fun, or scary?"

"Yeah sure," she smiled and took a carton out of the fridge, putting it next to her, "Action-packed means busy, I have to talk to Tarrant about last night, I had a...dream about it to say..."

Amara took the carton in hand and began pouring herself a glass of apple juice. "Busy's alright. S'long as it's not scary." She drank the juice and put the glass down on the counter. Though still a bit apprehensive of the classes, as most of the students were much older than her, she was ready to face the day.

"Don't worry, I'll sort anyone that's in the way, I promised to look after you, plus you could take care of yourself with that nifty power of yours," a power that Scarlett could copy herself, "You want to have a shower now or later?" she poured the water into her mug, the coffee and milk already in it; she needed it for her slight headache.

"Later, please," Amara said. She wanted to start the school day as soon as was humanly possibly. If they didn't get going soon, she would get nervous and not want to go. She waited for Scarlett to finish her coffee.

"Right, time for breakfast down in the halls," she nodded and unlocked the door, surprised that Drake was standing there about to knock, Jared was behind him.
"See ya dude," he tapped his arm and walked off as he blushed.
"Okay, can I ask what you're doing around this end of the dorms?" she smiled at him, Amara behind her peeking through the gap of her leg and the door frame.

"What?" I used to get the impression that he kinda liked me but I just thought it was because I was the emo one in the corner, "Okay, but I need to get breakfast, I'm having a small craving for toast..." she slipped past him holding Amara's hand down the stairs.

Jared came up behind Drake and smacked the backside of his head. "Stupid, why didn't you just get it over with?"
"I'm afraid she'll say no," Drake admitted.
By that time, though, Scarlett and Amara were too far away to hear anymore of the conversation.

"Right, just take what you want," she smiled, picking up a tray to carry the food on. She sighed as she ordered enough toast to feed an army. Next, she grabbed a yoghurt and a bottle of ketchup before sitting down at the table to the side.
"Hey, Scarlett! Have you heard? The school dance is next month! Mr Xavier was against it but now by a miracle it's happened!" but this was old news, it always is when Jane gets to it.
"Okay," she shrugged and got stuvk into her ketchup-coveree toast as Amara walked over.

Amara grabbed a bowl of Froot Loops and a small carton of milk. She sat and ate, waiting for Scarlett to finish talking to her friend. When no one was looking, she slipped a couple pieces of cereal to the two mice in her pocket.

"Hey, if they want something then should go up there...joke. Don't do that, they'll kill them actually..." she winced slightly at her rambling but then regiained herself as Drake walked over to their table, setting his tray down.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, chewing on a new slice of toast.

Drake sat down and awkwardly began, "Well, there's a dance coming up and I was, uh... wondering if you maybe wanted to go. With me."
Amara had tuned out of the conversation as soon as Drake had sat down. She discovered that Sol liked yellow while Luna liked green Froot Loops best.

"I heard, Jane just told me...about the dance I mean," she was messing this up as badly as he was herself, "But. Yeah, I'd love to go with you," she blushed through her fringe.
"Scarlett," Jane tapped her shoulder, "Sorry, update; the dance is this Friday... I got the old message..." she blushed slightly as she returned to her gossiping.
"But I have to make sure that Amara and co. don't get into trouble."
