Sorry about leaving, I fell asleep XD

Scarlett let out a sigh, five minutes until the end of class. She stood and went outiside; she needed a smoke and she had a lighter now: that girl's elemental powers. Sitting down all alone in the halls gave her time to think; she could somehow copy powers, well, Drake had super strength, via touch she copied that and when she backed into that girl she gain the elements. Clicking her fingers, a small flame appeared on the end of her thumb, "Perfect," she smiled as she tucked herself away in the corner puffing away.

The bell chimed. Tarrant clapped his hands together and the rainforest melted back into a classroom. "Well," he said, "I hope you all learned the dangers of coming unprepared to a villain's birthday party." Every student filed out the door. There was a lot of mutterings of things like: "He didn't blow anything up." "Nothing like 'The Ryan Incident'."
Amara was the only student who didn't leave the classroom. She wasn't sure where to go. Scarlett had left, you see. Tarrant hopped off his desk and went over to her. "What say we go find Scarlett?" he offered. Amara nodded, took his hand, and followed him out into the hallway.

(Amara's and Sapphire's powers are almost exactly the same. Only, Amara can't shape-shift. Just something I noticed...
Smile)

Scarlett frowned as the bell rang. Putting the cigarette out under her foot she decided she needed to go find Amara and explain to Tarrant about the sudden leaving the class. With a deep breath, she opened the door to see him and her already walking down the corridor towards her, "Sorry Sir, I couldn't exactly handle the staring. And Amara I'm sorry for leaving for the same reasons."

Tarrant waved the comment away. "Think nothing of it," he said. Leaving Amara with Scarlett, he turned and walked down the hallway.

Amara stood in front of Scarlett. Luna and Sol scurried out of her pockets and perched on her shoulders. "Where do we go now?" she asked, not quite so timidly as before.

Scarlett sighed, "Wherever, it's break so we have time to do anything we want; I could show you around though," she suggested and but her hand out, but then recalled it, incase that happened again... She slipped her sleeve down and tried again.

Amara nodded, "Alright." She took Scarlett's sleeve-covered hand and followed her. Sol ran down Amara's arm, up Scarlett's, and perched on Scarlett's shoulder. His furry white body stood out very well against her black jacket.

Tarrant walked down the corridor that led to Charles' "office." He knocked gently on the door and it opened. Charles was sitting in his wheelchair in the center of the room, in front of that large, odd computer screen.
"You wanted to see me, Mr. Xavier?" Tarrant said, stepping into the room.
Charles turned back to the door, "Yes, I did, Tarrant."

"What's your name?" she looked at the little rodent on her shoulder, "Okay, do you want to start in the cantine? That's if your hungry, if not then we can go to the front and work our way through..." she smiled as she opened the door, letting her walk forward infront of her. With a sigh, she smelt her breath; it still smelt of cigarette smoke. Great.

X-Men character chat - Page 9 Empty Re: X-Men character chat

Post by BariJoy Sun Sep 05, 2010 2:57 pm

As they passed by a window, Sol's fur shined in the rays of sunlight, gaining a golden undertone. He placed a tiny paw on Scarlett's cheek and thought My name is Sol at her her. "I'm not very hungry," Amara said softly. She had eaten just before she came here. Stupid parents with their stupid pretend family picnic. She had seen their wary glances at her during the picnic, but had thought nothing of it. How was she to know they were going to shove her off on the sidewalk? She bit her lip and looked down at the ground. The lights in the hallway started to flicker.

"How did your class go?" Charles asked.
"Fine, sir," Tarrant answered truthfully, "No explosions, no maimed students."
"So it would appear that you are trustworthy," Charles said, "Despite past occurances." He not only meant the last time Tarrant had taught; he meant before Tarrant had even come to the school.
Tarrant nodded, he knew what Charles meant. "And, sir," he said, "You know how you told me to watch for and tell you about any 'developments' in the students? Well, there was one today, I think." He went on to tell Charles what had happened with Scarlett during the class.

"Look, Amara, you're safe here, you're not gonna get let down here," I stopped and put my hand on her shoulder, bending down to her height, "And no matter what happened in the past, you need to forget all of that. It's not important," she bit her lip, "And you need to get a room," I stood and gripped her hand, "Come on."

Amara nodded, brushed a tear from her eye, and looked up at Scarlett. The lights stopped flickering. "Alright," she said, and followed Scarlett.

Charles nodded slowly. "I see," he said quietly.
"Do you want I should keep a closer eye on her, sir?" Tarrant asked.
"Yes," Charles responded, "But please don't forget to watch over the other students, as well."
"Of course I won't, sir."
"You may go, then," Charles said, turning away.
Tarrant hesitated. "If you don't mind me asking," he said, "I noticed the storm brewing before class started. Is there something wrong?"
Charles didn't look at him."An old friend of yours is stirring," he said simply.

"Okay," she smiled and took her to the reception, "Okay, basically Amara has just come here and she needs a room, timetable and the sorts but Mr Xavier told me to look after her."
"Okay honey, I've heard of this already," she smiled and put the stuff on the table, "Timetable, room key, everything she needs!"
"Okay, thanks," she smiled and looked at the room number, "Looks like you're with me, hun," she smiled at her, "Come on."

X-Men character chat - Page 9 Empty Re: X-Men character chat

Post by BariJoy Sun Sep 05, 2010 3:42 pm

"You mean-" Tarrant began, but Charles waved him to the door.
"Please go, Tarrant," he said, "The team and I are very busy."
Tarrant looked down and left the room. The door shut behind him. He couldn't help but feel a bit of resentment. He'd helped the team before, why should he be kept in the dark now? Perhaps it had something to do with the "old friend," as Charles had put it. Perhaps they thought if he knew too much about it, he would go back- He stopped himself right there. He was over-thinking this, he knew it.

Amara smiled. She said "Thank you" to the receptionist, then followed Scarlett out the door. Sol, by that time, had scurried off of Scarlett's shoulder and was sitting by Luna on Amara's.

"Shame, I was getting used to have a pet," she smiled as she ran up the stairs, trying to find her room, "229, 231, 233!" she called as she slid the key in, but it was already unlocked, huh? She opened the door to see nothing had changed, well, except there was a note on my bed:

Scarlett,
Today was a fluke, see if you can take two of us!
Drake and Leon

"Great," I sighed and scrumpled up the note, eating it, "Just great..."

X-Men character chat - Page 9 Empty Re: X-Men character chat

Post by BariJoy Sun Sep 05, 2010 4:00 pm

Amara stepped into the room. She watched as Scarlett picked a piece of paper up off of one of the beds. Then let out a little laugh when she ate it.

Tarrant began walking down the hallway. Anger- now there was something he hadn't felt in a while; but he certainly felt it now. Who was Charles to tell him what to do? He had handily beaten people much more powerful than the X-Men before. There nothing stopping him from dropping his alliance with them. Instead of doing something drastic right then and there, though, he decided to be childish. He turned around and looked at the door to Charles' office. He snapped his fingers, causing the door to turn bubblegum pink and become covered in pictures of kittens and ponies. Smirking, Tarrant turned and went down the hallway.

(Bubblegum pink?)

"Yeah, I'm gonna get ink poisoning..." she gulped, "You can have that bed by the way," she pointed to it and sat on the bed, rubbing her temples, trying to calm herself down.

(Yes, bubblegum pink. A highly girly, brightly pastel pink. Also known as Pepto-Bismol pink.
Smile)

Amara sat crosslegged on the bed Scarlett had pointed to. She looked at Scarlett then down at the papers the receptionist had handed her. She had been one of the best readers in the second-grade at her old school, so she was able to make out most of the words. Luna and Sol climbed down from her shoulder and scurried around the room.

Tarrant was now both bored and angry, not a good combination. He walked outside into the school's "courtyard garden." He sat on one of the benches. Maybe now would be a good time to practice his own combat...

"Anyway, we better get going," she sighed and stood up, putting her gloves on, hoping that would stop the weird new power thing. With a sigh, she opened the door and smiled, "Come on, we'd better find Tarrent before he goes cuckoo."

"Okay," Amara said. She jumped off the bed and ran to try and catch Luna and Sol. Once they were safely back on her shoulders, she followed Scarlett out of the room. There was a window right across from the door. While they were in the sunlight, Sol placed a paw on Amara's cheek. Referring to Scarlett's 'before he goes cuckoo' comment, he thought, I think it's a little late for that.

"Come on," she smiled and ran down the stairs, spotting a bright pink kitten palace of Mr Xavier's room, "What the hell?" she sprinted back up and into the room, "Great Tarrent, just great..." she sighed and jumped down the stairs, landing next to Amara, "Where is he?!"

Amara shrugged, even though it was clear Scarlett hadn't been asking anyone in particular. She looked at the pink, kitten-covered door. She thought it was kind of pretty actually. (Keep in mind, she's an eight-year-old girl, though. Smile)

With a snap of his fingers, Tarrant had transformed the garden into a sprawling city. A few heroes stood on top of one of the buildings. Their names were Cheetah, Crimson Fury, and Twister. Such stupid names, such stupid heroes; they were better off dead. He'd done the world a kindness the last day they'd been alive. Looking around the fake city, up at the illusions of the heroes, one question bounced around his head: Should I? Should I? To do what he so very much wanted to would be to give into temptation, and break almost every rule Charles had set in place for him.
