Amelia: I almost smirked at his surprise, "Yeah, I was...but then I saw you leave. Y'know that I heard everything that you said, right? The points on my ears aren't for nothing."
Well, obviously he didn't know. If he did he wouldn't have done it, surely. Unless he was trying to be ironic or something...
I didn't understand Nightling behaviours. They were stranger than anything I had known before in my life.
"Anyway, I need to thank you for getting Carmen off of my back earlier. I know she's your...companion and all."
Peering down at the floor, I caught the name on the spine of the book. My brow raised as I picked it up, almost in surprise. The Great Gatsby? Hidden behind a cheap porno?
I didn't know what to say.

Leonardo: What to do, what to do.
I had so much time to burn and nothing to get on with to kill it. Shame that I left the library so early.
With a sigh, I slunk back to my dorm room, slipping in and quickly locking back up again.
Another year to spend doing the same old. It was a shame that I was running out of time.
And I was running out of options.
My hand filled through my hair as I scraped it back, the hood falling down to my shoulders. I had nothing to do.
May as well practice the abilities.
They always go well. Plus, the training room should have been empty. Everyone was catching up, not lifting weights.
Finding my gym stuff, I quickly threw it in before running down the steps to the room, throwing my hood up.
But just before I entered, an image flashed up in my mind.
Carmen.
Just great.
Either way, I pushed through the door, slipping into the room with a frown. Sure enough, in the corner, attempting to tear up a punchbag, was the Fae herself.
And I couldn't help but dig in.
"You call that punching?"

Carmen: I smirk and roll my eyes. "No. I call this free anger management." I roundhouse kick the bag then grab onto it to stop its swinging before u turn around and face him.

Josh: "Okay let's start" I say to Hanna. I'm just about to introduce myself when the doors swing open and June walks inside.

Quentin: I paled a bit, "We don't learn much about other species in Nightling classes...Or not the ones I'm in.. Uhh..." I quickly scooped up my book, "No problem..."
I smiled awkwardly and attempted to be.... normal, how did the Daylings do it? Their way was decidedly less fun in many areas, but much more confident.
She looked so nice, but was oh so off limits.

June: I grimaced, now all eyes were on me. I clumsily handed over the papers to Hanna and awkwardly saluted to all of the members.

That horrible moment when you accidentally delete half a post -.-

Leonardo: She smiled?
Strange creature. I was picking at her and she did that.
She really broken.
"But you need a lot of it," I muttered, shaking my head at her, "Just don't come to me if you injure anything."
And with that, I slunk off to the corner of the room, cracking my neck along the way. Hell, she bet not come talk to me. I needed my concentration. I needed my peace and quiet.
Quickly setting up the weights, I gave a gruff sigh. Ideally, I wanted to me alone.
"When are you going to be done."

Amelia: So, the great confident Quentin was suddenly a lot less cocky and arrogant?
"So you won't know that I have to honour my debt, then?" I asked gently, "Tradition states that I now owe you a favour. Call on it when you want, okay?"
Glancing down at my watch, I gave a quick sigh. I had a few minutes before I had to get to the archery club's first meeting -- also known as Elf club. Running a hand back through my hair, I sighed, leaning against the wall beside him.

Carmen: I went and grabbed a jump rope and went in front of the mirror and started at it. I've been absolutely... Nice? I don't know but I feel like he's trying to push my buttons. "I'll be done when I'm done. Thanks for your self concern though. I really feel how much you're worried about yourself."

Josh: "We will start in a minute." I say to everyone before I walk towards June. "Hey. I'll take those Hanna. If you wanna start the introduction." she walks off to start and I smile at June. "did you sign up this year?"

Ugh- I know your feels
Quentin: I blanched, I got a favor from the girl I had been crushing on since senior year? Really? I could use it to my advantage, say a date or something. I could be gentlemanly. I could be cool.
"uhh.. If you could buy me a sandwich that'd be great."
I was such a loser, emphasized. I raised an eyebrow and snarled a bit at the staring Nightlings, getting them to shuffle along before turning my gaze back to Amelia. Awkward shrug.

June: I blushed and pushed a lock of my hair behind my ear, shaking my head. "No..No.. I'm not that kind of person... I tend to backstage.. I'm too shy.." I stuttered, eyes darting up to his and back down.

Leonardo: A skipping rope? Talk about stereotypes.
I stifled a laugh, "Well, Miss Priss, if I didn't worry about myself, who will worry about me?"
After a little mumble of a few curse words, I laid myself down on the bench, trying to get comfortable.
I said too much. I'd done that quite a lot that morning. At least, just a little louder than I was used to doing it.
Fortunately, my growing frustration, I raised my hands to the bar, relaxing myself slightly. Being angry would only get myself injured; I needed to follow my own advice.
Three, two, one...
With a deep breath, I shut my eyes, focusing down on the empty bar above my head just like I was taught to. That buzz of energy whipped around me, igniting my senses. I knew that it made my eyes glow slightly beneath the darkness of my hood.
But no matter how much I could concentrate...
It wouldn't budge.
Lift.
...lift!
Lift, dammit!

Nope.
"...this shit."
With a frustrated growl, I whacked my head back on the padded bench, cursing that Carmen was there.
I couldn't do it in front of an audience still, even an audience of one?
Screw my life.

Amelia: Well, that was going to be easy!
I was half afraid that he would ask me for something strange or outrageous, something that only a sick Nightling would think of.
I guess that I would have to stop with the stereotypes.
Well, I guess that his tough-guy image was kind of wrecked when I picked up his little novel. He was only keeping it up for the sake of others.
...maybe there was more to them than I first thought, the Nightlings.
"Sandwich?" I confirmed, giving a quick nod, "Right, I can do that. Anything in particular? I don't know if you eat raw carcasses like a real panther."
I tried a giggle. I didn't usually make jokes about people, only with them. It was kind of strange, really.
Oh well. I guess that I was just happy.

Sorry I was in the movies Smile

Carmen: The faster I go the harder it is to keep up with the rope but I manage. At least until my hands get sweaty and one end of the rope slips out of my hand and slices my leg. "FUCK!" I scream and collapse. That hasn't happened to me in years. What's wrong with me today? I throw the thing across the room. Great the one time I need healing and I don't have the stuff with me. I try to get up but its worse than I though and makes the pain worse. "FUUUUU-" I collapse again and in my anger fire shoots from the "torch" in the corner.

Josh: I smile at her. "That's right I remember seeing you back stage at some of the plays."

No problem ^^ I'm worse by far

Quentin: "Nah.. Just sacrificed virgins on full moons, other than that I do enjoy a good tuna melt. I try to stay away from the raw meat, could be carrying diseases and what not..and that's gross..." I grimaced, hoping my attempt at a joke was good enough.
I was rather upset with myself, give me a horde of angry teenagers and I could probably make most of them laugh and the other half uncomfortable and I'd be okay with that. Put this chick in front of me and I'm practically a little doe eyed Dayling.
Fuck me....

June: I blushed again and nodded, "Long hours, little recognition, but fun.. sometimes...So.. uh.. are you gonna audition for the play this year?"
I glanced around at the group, most of them daylings like us, and smiled at their little antics while introducing themselves. Drama kids were funny to watch.

Vladimir Academy - Page 4 Empty Re: Vladimir Academy

Post by OpenTheDoor Thu Jul 04, 2013 6:52 pm

I went to the cinema earlier! Saw Despicable Me 2 -- which is AWESOME by the way :3

Leonardo: Thank whoever is up there that I had dropped the weights back down when that vision hit me.
Carmen and a skipping rope.
Nasty gash.
...there we are.
Giving a grumble, I quickly waddled over to her, half wary at that point. I didn't know what it was about her. It was something about he mannerisms that put me on edge. And even when she was lying on the floor, bleeding like a solider, I couldn't help but keep some distance between us.
Blood. Not a good thing.
Keeping a comment about how in hell she actually managed to do that, from my pocket, I pulled out a little vial, one filled with a bright acid blue coloured formula.
"Keep calm. If you burn the place done before I get you healed up, you'll kill yourself, okay? Just...breathe."
From beneath the darkness of the hood, I knew that my eyes were glowing. I knew that that was the first time that I had actually done this for the better of someone else, but the suggesting was pretty useful.
And the only thing that I could control.
Sure enough, in the corner of the room, the fire was settling down nicely, only a little bit more frazzled that how it was when I first saw it.
Perfect.
"This may sting a bit. It's super strength."
With that, I poured a few droplets of the liquid onto her wound. Surely enough, after just a few seconds, the rip in her flesh was beginning to mend.

Amelia: My, my... He did have an imagination with him. I couldn't actually tell whether be was serious or not. Virgins on a full moon?...
Whatever.
"Tuna melt," I confirmed with him, nodding, "Good. The kitty wants a fish."
Yet again, with another giggle that changed into a bit of a snort, after a few seconds, I calmed myself down, enough so to realise that everyone was looking at me.
Whatever. They could say what they wanted. Even if I was talking to the biggest nerd here, they wouldn't have doubted that I was any less 'popular'.
Annoying, but true.
"Anything else? Actually, there's going to be a meeting tomorrow lunchtime for the potion's club. Make sure that you come. Anyone who doesn't is automatically taken off of the list, okay?"

Carmen: I wince but it heals pretty fast. How could I be so clumsy. I look away to hide the slight blush from the embarrassment forgetting that he has awesome eyesight. "Uh... Thanks- thank you. You- uh- you really didn't have to."

Josh: I chuckle. "I don't know. Im directing the first play of the year. I might act in it too though if I can't find a guy to audition. Most guys don't like the though mt of being in drama."

Quentin: I let a little growl rumble in my chest at her comment, raising an eyebrow, "Excuse you but I am a trained and lethal killer. Capable of inexpicable evils, main reason I'm in the Nightling grouping. They don't want the pansy Daylings here.. And.. uh.. Thanks for letting me know.. I wouldn't miss it for the world, you can give me the sandwich then.." I sent her a wink and got the hell out of dodge.
Oh, there were my balls.

June: I bit my lip, "Have you thought of asking Quentin, Carmen's companero? He's pretty dramatic and might like the chance.. I dunno who else you could get, I know he's Nightling but the show must go on.."
I checked through an enrollment list and mentally checking through each name, hoping I could help.

Leonardo: The fortunate thing about the concentrated healing potion, you didn't have to use too much, even if your arm was half falling off, you still had enough for two doses. Therefore, wasting a few drops on her wasn't too much of a problem for me.
As long as it got her to shut it.
Rising to my feet, I took a hold of her wrist, helping her get up onto hers. I didn't linger with the touch, though. It wasn't one of those moments where the knight rescues the fair maiden. I just didn't want there to be words going around saying that I beat up a girl.
I wasn't evil, really.
But if I was still an immature five year old, which I still could be at heart, I would have said about 'catching cooties' from her even though that was so unrealistic... And that was coming from a Warlock.
But still, I didn't want to touch her, her hand especially.
For a few seconds, I watched as she stood on her feet as I put the stringed cork in the top of the vial before slipping it over my head once again.
She seems fine, I gauged, [i]
"Now do yourself a favour and get out," I grumbled, "and leave me in peace."
That girl was only trouble, I could tell you. Even when she was trying to fight her anger, she only am managed to mangle herself up in the process.
"Idiot."

Amelia: There was the line.
And there was my comment.
I was going to apologise but he necked it out of there before I had a chance.
Lethal and inexplicable kills? Surely quite a few students who went to our school could do that. Hell, if needs be, I could kill...
But I just didn't want to. And that was never a bad thing.
Even so, as he walked away, I couldn't help but half grimace, yet the other half of me simply confused. I had spoken to him on the odd occasion, not all the time, yet still, his methods made me wonder. What is it with making people feel awkward?
Strange creature. He probably ate a rabid rabbit once upon a time.
Running a hand through my hair, I have a sigh, staring down at the watch attached to my wrist.
I had twelve minutes to get to the training room to help out with setting up the gym equipment.
Brilliant.

(guys I love this chat. Out of all the ones I've been in, its the most unpredictable and I love it!)

Carmen: I can't take it anymore I've been nothing but- what cordial?- since the library and he's been sort of an ass. Treating me like I'm sort or two year old clutz. I'm not either. And he came in here and all but said to get out so he could be alone. I got to the gym first. I just wanted to blow off some steam and he just created more. I get that he didn't have to help me but at least I thanked him. But this was the last straw. So much for trying to change. "Look I've been nothing but nice I even thanked you because I know you didn't have to help me. But don't treat me like I'm two. And Don't treat me like a clutz. I'm neither. You know what I'm done. Now I know what being nice gets me." I grab my stuff and start to walk out. I'm almost to the door when I stop and turn toward him again. "you are just so t-fuu-ba-cru-GAH!!!" I stop out of the gym on fire leaving a temporary path in my wake.

Josh: I chuckle. "its hard enough dealing with Carmen in drama. I don't need both halves of the terrible twins."

(when you accidentally delete your whole post and don't remember it. Ugh)

Quentin: I milled about for a while, grinning to myself for finally being able to not be a scared little boy in front of my crush. After a while I remembered Carmen.
An angry Carmen.
I cringed and began to search for her.

June: "Is she part of the club? I must have skipped over her name... Oh.. Well.. Good luck I guess, you're always rather good at acting so I'm sure you'll have no problems." I complimented, blushing a bit myself.

Yay :3 And shush Book! I'm the one who hasn't replied to Shoppe yet Razz

Leonardo: "She should have kept with the punching."
Sighing to myself, I watched as Carmen exited in her rage. It was so easy to wind her up. That was one of the my favourite things to do at school. Other than that, the place was boring as hell.
And did I feel guilty? Even after she said that she would try and be nice?
Of course not! She should have left as soon as I helped her out! I didn't have to waste my potions on her, did I? I could have let her stay in pain!
The things I do for people.
I was almost a saint!
But still...seeing her smile was better than the fire.
It meant that the freshmen would survive a little longer.
Whatever.

Amelia: "Okay, so I need to get over to the gymnasium by midday to get over to the cheer leading tryouts, then I have to get to West Wing for archery, then I might eat...or I could go-- Shit!"
At the sight of the fire, I literally dove out of the way. Sure, I should have been looking where I was going, but I was too busy staring at my to do list to see around me.
I didn't even see Carmen until she was centimetres away from my face. And as a result, my schedule was burnt to a crisp.
"Brilliant," I muttered, "Thanks, dar-- Ah!"
Immediately, I growled to myself, a large ache up my right leg. I frown, peering down at it. Surely enough, half of my shin had been cinged.
I didn't get out of the way quick enough.
"Shit," I gasped, bringing my leg closer to me, "Ah..."
I thought I also fell on it weirdly, a pain shooting up my leg too. I had cheer leading tryouts in about an hour!
"Carmen, you...pig!" I murmured, just under my breath.

Carmen:"Get out of my fucking way." that's what I say to anyone who's stupid enough not to move when they see me. If you get singed its your fault. I don't care who you are. Just move. Goody two shoes Amelia starts talking shit but I've been called worse. It doesn't affect me. Much.
Eventually I hear someone- a guy- calling my name. It slows me down a bit but I still don't stop.

Josh: "Thanks" I smile at June. "Josh?" Hanna motions me to come take over. "Sorry I gotta go."

by the way I have work today. Ugh

Yeah. But the birthday kids parents can be terrible. I work birthday parties at a bowling center. Hosting them. And those parents can be anything from crazy to super nice and you can do everything right and get no tip. Which we rely on making minimum wage and barely working 3 days a week for maybe 5 hours a day :\

Jobs.. work..boys.. life is mean.. I'm about to go on my first date to a park.. where I will promptly tell the fellow that I don't wish to date him.
Yay. Sorry. Needed to rant a bit, and it's okay, Open, whenever you wanna post is cool.

Quentin: I raced back to see Amelia on the ground and Carmen advancing on her while flaming. Not good.
"CARMEN!" I snarled, growling louder when she ignored me. I took that moment to sprint, using a bit of my shifter speed to be extra fast, skidded to a stop in front of Carmen, protecting Amelia who was behind me.
"Carmen stop. You need to control yourself and take a few breaths before anyone is seriously injured." I said slowly, staring into her eyes carefully.
I was gonna get injured.
I ignored her retort and took a step closer and grabbed her arm, ignoring the fact that she was on fire and I was being burnt, and pulled her off.
She may have been strong magically but I was strong physically.
So, in utter dramatics I pulled Carmen mid tantrum off into an empty classroom, doing my best to not smell my burning flesh which smelt oddly like cooked bacon.
"What's your problem?" I asked, finally letting go after closing the classroom door.
I hid my hand under my sleeve and attempted to keep a straight face.

June: I nodded numbly and watched him go before scrambling off in embarrassment, hoping no one had seen me. Awkward chick in puppy love at four o'clock folks.
She knows it won't happen but let's watch her try to get him anyway, what a show.

Still, at least you have jobs Razz YOU HAVE A DATE?! Yay for you! But why?! Give him a chance! If you wish to continue this convo, feel free to PM, if not, it shall be left alone. And thanks. I'm not in the mood to write naughty scenes tonight XD

Leonardo: Slamming my eyes shut, I couldn't help but let out a growl, the images flashing in front of me.
Fire.
Burning.
Shouting.
What was all of that shouting about?!
With a gruff sigh, I slipped off of the table, running a hand through my hair. It was obviously Carmen. She was riled because of me and she was taking it out on that Amelia chick, and her buddy Quentin was getting fried. So, yes, I half ran down the hall.
Without a word, I knelt down beside that Elven girl, uncorking the vial.
"This may sting," I murmured.
Though, as she was the potion-maker, I didn't really need to say that, especially as she all ready braces the wall for some sort of comfort.
"Quentin's going to be quite harshly burnt after this. Take it, refill it when you can, give it back to me later. Right?"

Amelia: "Y-yeah..."
And before I could thank him, he went off, throwing the vial into my hands.
To be honest, I was still completely mind-blown. Quentin appeared out of nowhere and saved me. He stopped Carmen in her tracks and seized her and pushed her and...
There was no exaggeration about it.
...I doubted that another sandwich would sufficed repaying that.
With a sigh, I ran my had through my hair, swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat. In the classroom down the corridor, I knew that they were chatting.
Gingerly, I rose to my feet, the after effects of the potion still numbing my leg. Still, I managed to hobble down the hallway, my leg looking as good as new, pretty much. Leonardo seemed to have been in a bit of a rush when he poured it, not getting the edges so they were still rather red.
Even so, I would manage tryouts.
Leaning against the wall, I pressed my ear up against the door, trying to catch what they were saying to one another.

Carmen: "AM I NOT ALOUD TO GO TO MY ROOM? I MEAN FUCK I REALIZE IM GOING THE WRONG WAY AND IM AUTOMATICALLY THOUGHT TO BE TRYING TO KILL SOMEONE? I MAY BE A BITCH BUT IM NOT A MURDERER! BUT LEAVE IT TO YOU TO GO RUNNING TO THE RESCUE WHEN THE GIRL YOU'RE CRUSHING ON IS IN NO POSSIBLE DANGER!" I shake him off and pace around the room. "I mean dammit Quentin I might have been rich and spoiled last year but being cut off and disowned and kicked out does a number on a person. I don't care that she called me a pig. I just wanted to go to my room. Okay?" I hadn't told anyone that yet. But now he knows. And now Amelia does too. "AND ITS NOT POLITE TO SPY BITCH!" I know I can be rude but never have I ever spied on someone.

Josh: I watch her leave when I hear shouting in the hall then in moves to next door. Everyone's in a frenzy in the hallway and I see Amelia. "What happened?"

awww I remember my first date. Believe me even if its awful it can't be worse than mine.

Um.. yeah.. I doubt it.. mine just.. was not good.

Quentin: I let her flame for a bit before pulling her into a hug, grimacing lightly as I felt my clothes sizzle and get singed. My hand at that point was screaming in pain but she was literally screaming, I could barely understand anything she was saying through her shrill voice and the crackling of her flames.
"You need to calm down and just...let it out.. you know I know how you feel, just calm down.." I murmured.
I could usually calm her down after a bit and hazarded a quick caress of her hair, with my unburnt hand, wincing lightly at the heat but it wasn't so bad.
"We can go to your room and talk about it... Okay?"
She knew a lot about me, not everything but more than most people. We got along due to similar circumstances.
I was used to her fits, I usually could calm her down before she went inferno.
The healing process was a bitch.

June:
I frowned lightly as commotion swept me away to the cafeteria. There was a group and muttering and lowered voices and all around curious behavior.
Well, the good times couldn't last for long.
I started my search for the truth and a semblance of order, using my senior status to clear many of the miscreants out.
I sighed, things never seemed to roll smoothly at this school.

Amelia: I felt the colour drain from my face, the small amount that rose to my cheeks fading away. Needless to say, as a White Forest Elf with skin as pale as snow, I half looked like a ghost.
Not only had Carmen marked me, she had attracted half of the school's, including the entirety of the drama club's, attention. Including Josh.
Who had pushed to the front.
And was talking to me.
I didn't know what to say. My lips couldn't form words, shocked that she knew that I was on the other side of the door. I pulled myself away from it, avoiding eye contact with Josh.
"Carmen," I whispered, "I-I need air. Excuse me."
I lurched forward, pushing passed Josh and June, hating myself as I ran away from the mess that I made. Slipping by all of the crowd, I knew that some people were looking at my leg. Well, the leggings were ruined -- they had half burnt-off of me, the edges singed. But still, I stuck to the wall as much as possible, using it for support, trying to get to the door.
Eventually, after what felt like forever, I found the outside, hobbling over to a section of wall and took a seat. My breathing was faster than anything I had ever witnessed before.
Slamming my eyes shut, I tried to keep it under control, but still, it kept on racing. I put my head in my hands, trying to keep calm.
But no, she was on a rampage.
She had a shit summer and I was only making her autumn worse. I didn't even been to. I was...
I didn't know. I just knew that I wasn't going to be able to get to tryouts, not unless I partook in a miracle.
Serves me right.

Leonardo: What the fuck is wrong with everyone today?!
First, Carmen was on a rampage.
Then she was nice.
Then she rampaged again.
And then that elfie princess cheerleader got burnt.
Then the entire school decided to riot?
On the first day?!
Vladimir Academy was doing worse than usual.
With a grumble, I slipped out of the class to see what the fuss was all about, hood high up on my face. I frowned as I watched Amelia hobble by me, almost feeling sorry for the thing -- she looked like she was about to burst into tears. Anyway, I slipped through to the front, the younger ones wise to let me through. Eventually, I stopped, getting next to June and Josh. I all ready had a headache and the drivel that Carmen was spilling was not helping it.
"Someone should just send her to an institute."

Carmen: Fae ears are almost as good as those of elves. Just as Quentin and I are about to reach the door and I'm almost completely calmed down I hear Leonardo. "..just send her to an institution..." "I'm not crazy..." Quentin gives me a puzzled look. "I. AM NOT. Crazy!" I burst out of Quent's grip rip open the door and point at Leonardo- accidentally on purpose shooting fire just to his left. "You. Do you NOT know how to be nice or something? Is it your goal to ruin my life? No matter how polite I am you're just an asshole back. I don't under stand you!" I keep shooting fire to either side of him as I talk but when I'm finished I shoot one more directly at him.

Josh: I was just about to follow Amelia when everything blew up again. Carmen burst through the door and started at Leonardo. What he said was kind of out of line. She didn't mean to hurt anyone from what I understand, it just happened. She shoots fire directly at him and everyone holds their breath seeing if it'll hit him or not.

Quentin: I growled, some stupid ass bastard ruined my hard work, I got through blood sweat and tears, and screwed it all up with a single sentence. The fucker.
I grabbed the flaming Carmen again, the other hand was now getting singed, and pulled her out of the crowd, sending a dark glare at the kid who said it, Leonardo or some shit.
"He doesn't know what he's saying, Car, he's just a stupid onlooker.. let's ignore him and go back to your room.." I said soothingly, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
My clothes were blackened and my skin was red, some was blistered but few people noticed it or me. Just her.
I was having a hard enough time just walking without crying out in pain.
I had to take care of her though, the infirmary could wait a bit for my presence.

June:
I grimaced as the center of problems stepped out of the room to shriek at Leonardo, his quiet comment was a bit rude but I didn't feel like her reaction was justified.
Quentin was by her side as always and just tugged her away, glaring back at us.
Was he smoking?
