Ino quickly put her hair up just as Sakura ran in swiftly, doing the same.
"Ino, step back."
Her eyes bugged out of her head practically. "Are you kidding me!?"
Sakura's sharp firm gaze made her stagger back.
The pinkette placed her hands on Ayumi's chest. Bright white light burst form the two, green eyes slamming shut.
There was a very faint glimmer of Ayumi's chakra. She hung on tightly.

Sasuke placed his hand on Nite's shoulder as Natsume held Mitsuki close, standing by Ryou and Sai.

Nite glanced over her shoulder at him before turning to a woman who had approached, "I assure you that all is well. I trust our medic team thouroughly. Ma'am if you could please take your seat again," she sighed as the woman spoke, "I assure you that there is no need to go back there- MA'AM, SIT DOWN OR KAMI HELP ME I WILL HAVE YOU ARRESTED!" she yelled furiously, causing everyone one to obediently fall silent, "Thank you."

Sakura's eyes snapped open, the irises a mix of violet and silver.
"Spirit Style: RESSURECTION!"

Nite heard this and turned her head, sending a silent prayer to the Kamis.

Slowly, the glow faded, revealing a still bloodied Ayumi with her eyes shut.

Sai shook with worry and fear, eyes wide as he bit his lip.

Sakura staggered back and paled.
The blonde ninja before her didn't wake up.

Sai felt tears well up in his eyes as his last spark of hope fizzled out. She was gone. His Ayumi was gone.

Suddenly, Ayumi began to cough and suck in deep breaths.

Sai's knees buckled as his wife's coughing filled the room, "Oh thank the Kamis!"

Nite rubbed hertemples as she paced, "This is taking too long. We have to do something! We have to-" the ANBU comander's words word cut off as a sudden explosion and the sound of screaming people echoed in the streets. Her eyes wend wide as she looked to her companions. "No! No not now!"

Mitsuki and Seto exchanged worried glances as the explsions grew louder along with the screaming. The siblings new exactly what was happening: the war had begun.

Naruto cursed under his breath, "Seto, Mistuki you two stay here with Sai and Sakura and see what you can do to help save Ayumi. Nite, you gather all the ANBU and launch a full-scale retaliation. Sasuke , I want you to secure the archives where all of the sacred and forbidden scroll are hidden. Natsume, I'm going to go to the back and see about taking out some of the generals to buy you more timeI want you to get your mother, Tsuki, Ayumi if she's stable, and Yuuki out of the village at any cost, understand?"

Natsume's eyes widened as he nodded.
"H-Hai. Please be careful, Dad," he urged before taking off into the medical room.

Sasuke nodded his confirmation and took off running, readying his kunai and sword.

Naruto nodded and raced off.

Nite bit her lip and nodded at her kids, "Stay safe," she said to the two before looking after Sasuke as he ran off, "Be careful," she said softly, running towards the ANBU training grounds, where some of the officers had gathered already.

Natsume ran into the room everyone was gathered in and explained the situation.

Sai bit his lip and looked to his bride, "Do you think you can walk?" he asked, "And Tsuki and Yuuki are with Kurenai," he added, looking to Seto who nodded and ran off. Mitsuki looked to her aunt, "What can I do to help?"

Sakura looked to Mitsuki with firm eyes. "Help Sai with Ayumi. I'll take point. We'll head over to Kurenai's. Got it?" she spoke.

Mitsuki nodded, biting her lip as she went and looped one of Ayumi's arms around her own shoulders, while Sai took the other arm.

Ayumi groaned and whimpered as they took off running with Sakura on point.

Sai mumbled sweet nothings into her ear gently.

Nite sighed as she stood before all the available troops. "Listen here, men. Our prime mission is to get everyone who can't fight out of here. Our priority being the Hokage's wife and children. Everyone else is expendable. Including me. If it's between saving them or anyone else, you save them, understand? Get everyone out of the vilage, so we can launch a counterattack.

Sakura approached Kurenai who was holding Tsuki and protectively pulling Yuuki along.
They headed inside her house.

The ANBU dispersed, with a small group of commanders going to give the Hokage family an armed escort out of the village.

Nite raced to the front lines, her false form dropping for optimal battle, stay safe... she thought to her older sister as fire burst from her palms, eyes cat green and fangs sharp.

Mitsuki helped Ayumi into the building as she saw the ANBU rushing towards them.

Sakura looked up at the sound of ANBU approaching. "Mitsuki. Sai. You go with Kurenai and the ANBU. You will ensure Tsuki, Ayumi, and Yuuki's safety. Understood?"
"And what of you Sakura?" the older woman asked with worry in her eyes.
"Your son and I will fight," the Hokage's wife spoke softly. Sakura had been training the son of Kurenai and Asuma, who was just two years older than Seto. Her prodigy was one of the members of ANBU this way.
"But Sakura-"
"You will get them to safety," she ordered, gazing at her. "I will not be escorted to safety while my home burns to the ground like no one gives a damn," she growled, reaching behind her back. She dress the Haruno family sword from the hilt.

Sasuke dodged a slash and stabbed the masked Ninja numerous times, snarling. He turned around at the sound of running, spotting his fiance in the distance.
He caught up to her and took a place in front of her just as a Kunai, which was aimed for her heart, was thrown into his back. He yelled out in pain and grimaced, snarling, eyes activating Sharingan.

The ANBU exchanged looks before Mitsuki sighed, "You heard her, come on. Sakura's strong. She knows what she's doing. Some of you need to stay back, though. A group of ANBU this large will draw attention at the back of the city. Five of you will go with us, while seven of you stay with Sakura-chan.

Nite let out a yowl of surprise before her keen vision settled on him, "Constrictor Vice!" she said, causing the thrower to be bound by what appeared to be a large snake, "Serpentine Judgement!" a large flaming forked snake tongue curled around the man, who screamed in pain as he was reduced to ash.

"No," she spoke to Mitsuki, glaring at the ANBU.
"You seven will find any civilians that you can and get them to safety."

Sasuke grimaced and reached behind him, grabbing the Kunai and ripping it out with a yell.

Mitsuki dipped her head in acknowledgement, picking up her soon-to-be sister-in-law while Sai with his free arm picked up Yuuki, "Alright, sweetie, let's go, okay?" he asked, as one of the ANBU men pulled Ayumi up, easily carrying her weight.

Nite's ears laid backwards, green eyes concerned as she nuzzled him gently, "Arigatou," she said, licking his cheek, "Get somewhere safe. I'll be okay.

"No, I'm goimg with you," he spoke, firming his grip on the Katana.

Nite sighed softly, "You have your mission and I have mine," she said
softly, her lip twitching fondly at his stubbornness. "You go secure the
hall of records," she insisted softly, "I'll be okay."
