"No," she looked to him sternly. "Besides, I can make something fit," she grumbled and looked back to the closet before pulling out a cream colored dress with a lace embroidery at the neckline.

He smirked slightly at Nite but kept his mouth shut, leaning over and resting his elbows on his knees as he rubbed his eyes.

Naruto raised an eyebrow at her, "If you're sure..." he replied with a sigh, holding up his hands in surrender.

Nite shot him a look that dared him to say something then looked at Seto, "What's a rehearsal dinner without a few funny stories?"

Seto frowned, "I mean it, mom. Not stories about me dressing up in heels and dresses when I was a kid."

"Oh but it was so cute!" Nite protested, "And it's not every day a mother gets to see her child about to get married."

"Mom, I mean it."

"Okay fine, but I'm telling them the other story."

"I'll let you use the first one if you please don't use that one!"

"Deal."

He smiled at the conversation but his mind kept flickering back to the bloody obscenity in his head.
He stood up abruptly and walked out swiftly, hand on his head.
He leaned against the wall by the door, panting as the night terrors played over and over in his head.

She observed it before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door, tweaking the dress ever so slightly.

Nite's cool hand pressed to his arm, a worried frown on her face, "Sasuke?" She asked softly, "are you alright?"

Naruto waited, fixing his bow tie with a grimace.

He jolted, as he had when waking up from the nightmares, and panted to catch his breath. His breaths were heavy and labored, eyes frenzied with fear. Sweat glistened lightly on his skin.

Sakura opened the door and walked out. She looked at Naruto, biting her lip. "How do I look?" She had only done minor touches to the dress like stretching it out a bit so it wasn't skin clinging. She also cut off the 3/4 sleeves, making them spaghetti strapped.

Nite's frown was deep set and reinforced with the dark navy of her eyes that showed her concern as she jumped at his sudden jolt.

Naruto smiled softly, "You look beatiful, Sakura," he said tenderly.

"Really?" she questioned, looking down at herself disbelievingly. She then walked to the mirror and looked at her reflection.

He looked at her, his heart racing as his wild black irises reflected the nightmares. He tentively touched her cheek with a shaking hand before pulling her into a tight and desperate embrace.

Naruto hummed in the affirmative, standing behind her, looking at her in the mirror as his hand brushed affectionately over her round stomach, "There's not one thing about you that I would change, Sakura."

Nite held him softly, offering cool soothing touches and comforting assurances that everything would be okay.

She felt tears come to her eyes as she smiled at his reflection, resting her hand over his. "You think so?"

He shuddered into her shoulder, tightening his hold.

Naruto smiled into the mirror, "I know so," he said with a loving hum. He nuzzled her softly, eyes drooping lazily.

Nite leaned into the embrace, waiting patiently until he was ready to release her from his grip. Not that she'd complain if he didn't let go for a while.

His body began to tremble a bit as muffled sobs escaped him.

She closed her eyes in peace, letting a few tears fall. She smiled before turning around in the circle of his arms carefully, gazing up at him with her green eyes.

She still wasn't sure what had happened, just that he was afraid.

Naruto met her gaze with his own, blond hair brushing lightly against her forhead as he felt their breaths even with each other.

She smiled and gave him a soft kiss before pulling away and untying the bow tie. "I have something better," she murmured. She then went to the closet and pulled out a skinny long box, holding it out to him. "Here. Think of it as an early birthday gift."

He pulled away after a moment and looked at her.

Naruto raised an eyebrow at her and opened the box, curiostiy eating away at him relentlessly.

She looked at him confused and worried, "Is...everything okay?"

Inside was an orange silk tie. She blushed and smiled at him nervously. "Do you like it?" she asked shyly.

"I keep on seeing things...these god-awful things...Nite they feel so real," he whispered.

Naruto grinned as he looked up at it, "I love it!" he cried, hugging her happily, "Now I can even wear orange to those stupid council meetings!"

Realization dawn on her and she gently cupped his face with both her hands, kissing every inch of skin she could reach.

She began to laugh, blushing and smiling. "I'm glad you like it. Here," she took the tie out of the box and began to tie it around his neck a little loosely.

He held her close, shuddering as his body trembled.

He smiled, making sure not to be in the way of her hands, since he kind of sucked at tying ties.

She gently place one of her hands over his heart in a loving manor, hoping to make him feel a bit better.

He sniffed and pulled away, looking deep into her eyes.

Once she was done, she smoothed it out with a smile. "Perfect," she murmured and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.

Nite leaned into the touch, putting her hand over his. It seemed every move she made was to show him she was in fact real and this wasn't a dream.

Suddenly, Nite was torn away, from him by a purple beast with sinister yellow eyes and sharp talons sinking into her flesh. She looked at him with wide eyes, mouth parted, saying something that couldn't be heard.

"Oh...okay, I guess we better get going," he remarked softly, looking at the time.

Sasuke yelled out, his eyes wide. He reached for her but found that he couldn't move.
