Renji rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. "Well that went over well," he said sarcastically.

She draped one arm over his shoulders, placing the other one in his hair. She moved her lips beneath his, feeling that same butterfly-like sensation in her stomach.

Ichigo pulled her closer, the hand not holding her waist cupping the back of her neck.

With a soft and slow intake of breath, she leaned a little into the kiss, deepening it. Her eyelashes brushed oh-so-lightly against his cheeks as her hand lowered from his hand and ran down the back of his neck, down his shoulders and down his chest.

He laughed at her before giving her a very light shove. "Don't be like that, 'Hina," he remarked.

She found her body moving closer to his on its own, her kisses becoming more desperate as the memories began to play.

The same played throught his head as he held he close, afraid that this was all a sweet, sweet, dream that, should he let go of her, he'd wake up and she'd be gone.
