Eraqus held up his hands and slowly backed away. Once he was far enough away, she slashed the other mutants chains, and headed for the door. "You'll let us go without saying a word, or I'll kill you." she spat and she opened the door for the other girl to go first.

Cosette stood up rather shakily and scurried out. Her leader like disposition was failing. Shock Over came her and she was shaking infinitesimally.

Lacie followed her through the empty halls and down to the front door. Once they were outside, she killed the two guards and grabbed Cosset's hand. "Come on." She said and took off running.

"Down here." Lacie said, out of breath as she slid into a ravine and pulled Cosset under a low bridge with her.

Vanitas laughed as he gave chase, trying to track the two mutants down.

Lacie then blew a tree down behind them so they couldn't get back and leaned back to catch her breath, laughing quietly.

Vanitas smirked and stepped on the ice, hearing the girl.

Cosette closed her eyes and time slowed down. It remained the same for Cosette and Lacie but for any other it was in slow motion, not that they would relise that.

Lacie saw a slow moving figure out of the corner of her eyes and broke the ice so the Assassin fell in then a cold breeze came and re-froze the water.

Lacie took a deep breath. "We escape to the countryside and make a plan to save the other mutants."
