Kia: holy crap. seriously? a motorcycle?? i half expected a camara crew to jump out and laugh. no way was a guy this completely perfect interested in me. i bit my lip though and sat behind him

My eyes widened when I recognized that it was Blane that made my nightmare go away. I blushed furiously and the sadness disappeared. I was left with confused thoughts but also ones of happiness. I was able to see my mother and to here her voice. I was also happy that he chased away my resentment of myself and my sadness.

I looked down at his hand and smiled, my hand holding his tighter. "You're right." I whispered. "I do worry too much. But I freak out because everything reminds me of a past i'm not proud of at all."

Kia: "thanks" i got off the bike then flinched when i saw the lights on in the apartment. mom was home. sh*t. maybe i'd go sleep in the park tonight. if she was home then she wasn't at her lover's home. maybe his wife was back. no way in hell did i want to face that. i smiled at dimitri. "See you tomorrow." i turned, pretending to go to the house, when in reality i would ditch as soon as he left.

Blane: "don't cry anymore. you can't change it sweetheart. so don't tear yourself up about it. let yourself feel what you want. it'll only hurt you more for berating yourself when you can't change how you feel."
