"Cloud?" Densel asked worriedly.
His blue eyes gazed up at him, wide and fearful.
Before the ex-soldier could say anything, a large growl sounded in the air.

Cloud instantly stepped into a battle stance, "Denzel, you go stay with Tifa."

When he turned to run to Tifa, a black form crashed through one of the windows. He fell back with a cry, eyes wide as a shadow-like wolf looked to him with blazing red eyes and growled. It then sniffed the air, smelling the blood, and turned to Tifa, snarling.
The sound made her open her eyes. Seeing the wolf eyeing her like a piece of steak made her freeze a bit. Her jaw pulsed, her eyes hardened and she braced the pain as she began to slowly stand. She was glad that the bleeding had stopped but it didn't help that there was blood all over her. Some of it she didn't even know if it was hers or not.
She adjusted her black gloves, the fight-or-flight response kicking in.

Tifa!" Cloud called, getting knocked into the church but one of the beasts.

"Cloud!" she cried out, eyes widening. "Denzel, hide and stay out of danger!" she barked, fists curling.
She then lunged at the wolf, eyes burning. She landed a kick to its side as she dropped to a crouch. The wolf yelped, crashing into a wall and dissolved into the shadows. She winced and lunged at another one, knocking it off of Cloud.

Cloud jumped up, his blade slicing through one of the beasts and it dissipated into the shadows.

Suddenly, Tifa's scream rang out as claws sank into her wound.

Cloud screamed, racing to her, destroying the beast visciously.

Cloud put her arm over his shoulder, racing towards a hidden corner, setting her down, "I'll be back," he said and raced away.

Cloud caught his breath, going back to Tifa, his hair more messed up than usual.

Her eyes were shut in agony, blood spilling past her fingers.

She let out numerous gasps, occasionally whimpering in pain. Her skin was pale and covered in sweat.

Her hand suddenly gripped his. She needed someone to hold on to and he seemed to be the perfect person.
