Amu ran and ran, her fists pumping at her sides.

(And lets cue the awesome X-Egg enterance Very Happy

)

At the sound of a laugh, ominous and maniac-like, Amu skid to a stop and looked up to the sky. A X-Chara floated above, stranger looking than the ones she remembered as a child all those years ago. Her eyes widened as it laughed once more then screamed as it let out a dark energy towards her.

Kukai kicked the soccer ball he had been carrying at the X-character and jumped in the way of the dark energy crossing his arms to brace the impact of it. He had already character changed to give his ball more power hitting the character.

Amu peeled her eyes open and gasped softly seeing Kukai in front of her. She stiffly and brokenly replied, "Thanks." She looked up at the X-Chara, her eyes studying it for any weak points.

Amu-chan! Tell Kukai-kun to hit it in the left shoulder! It's one of its weak spots! she heard another familiar voice reply.

Miki... she thought then shook out of her haze. Right, she replied firmly, whether the guardian Spade chara was there or not, she didn't focus too much on that.

"Kukai, its left shoulder is a weak spot!" she yelled over the laughter as it prepared more dark energy to be shot towards the two. Suddenly, another laughter, more high-pitched than the other, joined in with the deep one and Amu looked to the side to see dark energy shoot towards her. She didn't have enough time to move out of the way as it hit her dead center, knocking her a couple of feet away onto the hood of a car. She landed with a loud thud and cry, holding in her tears of pain.

A group of bowling pins came along and flung bashed one of them to the side. They didn't quite kill it, but threw it to the ground for a while. Kukai looked over to see Rima where the bowling pins returned.

Amu weakly sat up, clutching her abdomine to see a familiar figure. "Rima?" she asked herself quietly. She slowly got up and staggered a few steps forward. She winced as the pain increased with every step but ignored it. She watched as the two X-Charas prepared another attack.

"I need to help them," she whispered. She closed her eyes tightly, clenched her hands into fists and grit her teeth. "I have to try," she spoke stronger.

"My heart unlock," she whispered. Nothing.

The X-Chara's energy surrounded their hands and grew stronger by the second.

" heart unlock," her voice was louder. Still nothing.

She looked up in terror as both X-Charas aimed the black energy towards Kukai and Rima.

"Please, Amulet heart, Unlock! Please heart, Unlock!!" she screamed with everything she had. Suddenly, a white glow merged with pink engulfed her, getting the attention of the two X-Charas.

The glow dimmed revealing a glazed eyed Amu in Amulet Heart form. Her pupils were gone and the look on her face was one resembling a trance-like state. She took one step forward before suddenly leaping into the air, flipping once and landing on a roof, almost at level with the X-Chara that hit her. Two pom-poms appeared in her hands.

okay. amu is in amulet heart form. however,she's kind of in a trance and is moving based on instinct. shes basically able to guardian change again

Rima was the first to come back to her senses and began to toss another set of bowling pins at the remaining X-chara. Kukai then shook his head as if leaving a trance before kicking a ball again towards it.

The pom-poms in Amu's hands disappeared as her hands formed a heart in front of her chest. A small glow formed before she shouted, aiming the heart at the X-Chara, "Negative heart! Lock On!" By this time, her pupils returned as she was fully out of her shock-like state.

Rima smiled with joy seeing her old best friend. Both her and Kukai looked up at Amu and watched.

Amu's hands lowered at the end of the attack, her eyes fluttering just a tad as if she was recovering. She blinked a few times and looked at herself for a moment, eyes wide. Suddenly, three other Guardian Chara's floated towards her, cheering and laughing. "Amu!" She broke into a smile as she looked at them with teary eyes. She staggered once more, eyebrow furrowing into a frown before her eyes fluttered shut, returning to her normal form and she suddenly fell off the roof.

Amu's eyes fluttered open and at the last second, she flipped and landed shakily in a crouch.

Amu blinked a couple of times before relaxing and hugging her former best friend tightly. "Sorry..." A moment past before she pulled away from her, smiling brightly. "It's been a while, Rima-chan."

"To long." Rima suddenly became a little shy in her voice as she brought one arm across her body to hold her other shoulder.

"Yeah," Amu murmured, her eyes closing for a moment before she looked at the sky. "Everything has changed........Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends," she spoke softly. A small breeze blew past the three reunited friends.

"You guess?" He continued to joke. But he kicked himself off the wall as he saw the look of pure anger Rima was shooting towards him.

"She guesses." She snarled at him answering for Amu. Her arm remained in the same position.

Amu laughed lightly at the two, smiling. She seemed to be in a better mood.
