Sai frowned. "You have a fever, Yuuki..." he said, worry shining in his eyes.

Nite leaned into him with a sigh. "Holy shit...I just realized out of the six of us, we're the only two with a kid old enough to get married...."

Yuuki sniffled then covered her mouth with one hand, hoarsely coughing into it. She looked at her parents with wide, tired, and world-worn obsidian eyes that held tears. Sasuke kissed her temple, 'hmm'ing softly. "Yep."

Sai siged. "I'll get dressed and take Yuuki to the docotr. You try and get some rest Ayumi."

Nite groaned "Kami, we're old Sasuke..."

Ayumi's eyes filled with hurt and, even though she was exhausted due to not sleeping anymore, she shook her head. "No, I'm going with you," she murmured softly before standing to get her young daughter's coat.
Yuuki looked up at her father, clutching the white teddy bear to her chest tightly. "Daddy? If I get better, will brother come home?" She still didn't know that Ryou, her brother, was gone forever.

Sasuke shrugged, "Doesn't matter how old we are."

Sai forced a smile for her sake. "I dunno. We'll just have to go and see.

Nite sighed and nodded.

Yuuki sniffled and smiled, "Okay, Daddy." She held her arms up to be picked up. The eight year old was small for her age, in both weight and height, due to being born prematurely.
Ayumi came over with a small black coat in her hands while she had her own on and Sai's over her shoulder.

Sasuke kissed her head once more before murmuring into her hair, "I love you."

Sai put his coat on and scooped his daughter up.

Nite hummed and leaned into his warmth. "I love you too."

Sasuke smiled down at her before leaning back into the couch and closing his eyes.

Ayumi sighed as she watched her daughter bury her face into his neck. She turned and grabbed her purse before pulling out her cell phone as she opened the door and made her way to the hospital.

Sakura looked up from her paperwork, hearing a light knock on her door. "Come in," she called softly before watching as Natsume walked in silently, closing the door. "Nastume? What's wrong?" she asked softly before finally noticing the black eye and cut on his temple. She instantly understood why.

Nite picked up upon seeing it was Ayumi. "Hey, girl" it had been months since they'd spoke.

Sai led the way, blockuing yuuki from the cold.

Ayumi followed, a sad smile on her face. "Hey, Nite. Listen, I don't really have much time to talk but can you meet us at the hospital? Yuuki's got a fever and really bad cough...she's pale and freezing. Just...please?" Tears were already flowing down her face.

Sasuke looked at Nite, frowning.

Sasuke looked at her, wondering what was wrong.

Ayumi nodded, "See you soon." She hung up.

Nite closed her phone and got up. "Yuuki's ill. High fever bad cough the works. ANd you know since her immune system isn't fully developed just how bad that can be."

[Cali]

Sasuke nodded, frowning. "Yeah," he said before standing and writing down a small note for Seto when he got back in case he didn't see them home. He then went and got their coats while grabbing the keys.

Yuuki roughly coughed into her father's shoulder, shivering lightly as her teeth chattered.

Nite was already heading out the door as she shrugged the jacket on.

Seto rubbed her back trying to keep her warm.

Sasuke followed silently, worrying about the little girl that was like a niece to him. Yuuki looked at her mommy, frowning at the sad look on her face. "Daddy? Is Mommy okay?" she whispered softly, looking up at him.

Nites feet carried her swiftly towards the hospital.

Sai nodded. "Mommy's just worried." he lied.

[Cali]

Yuuki nodded before turning her head slightly so her cheek was resting against his shoulder. "Is it because of Ryou?" she whispered before coughing violently.

Sasuke followed just as fast as her.

Sai looked as his wife then back at his daughter. "Yuuki, what do you think happened to Ryou?"

Nite was leaned against the wall, panting when they arrived.

[Cali]

"Ryou is on a mission...to the Sound..." she murmured. Sasuke looked behind them to see an ill Yuuki, a distressed Sai, and a sickly pale and world-worn Ayumi.

Nite raced over, sensing her friends' were in need of assistance and said. "Hey pretty girl, how's my favorite neice?"

Sai looked up with relief-flooded black eyes.

[Cali]

Yuuki faintly smiled up at her, "I don't feel good, Aunty Nite," she murmured before turning her head and coughing once more.

Sasuke looked to Ayumi and frowned, seeing the tear streaks and exhaustion that was evident on her face.

Ayumi looked at Sasuke and faintly smiled before looking to Nite, a sad look on her face.

Nite nodded. "Well, what if daddy and uncle Sasuke go take you to see aunty Sakura and she'l make you better?"

[Cali]

"what about my mommy?" she yawned, sniffling.

"Mommy will be in soon. Aunty Nite wants to do some catching up first." She could tell by Sai's face something wasn't right and that Yuuki was clueless. SO she intended to get to the bottom of what had made her friend so sad.
