The sound of a blade stabbing through flesh, muscles, and organs was loud and sickening. The pink haired ninja's viridian eyes widened with pain as her soft light pink lips parted to a small `o` shape. The demon's blade had pierced through her stomach. A strangled cry reached her ears and she weakly looked over her shoulder in a daze, wondering where it came from. Before she could find the source, the blade was twisted then yanked out of her abdomen. A sickingly pale hand gripped the front of her top and launched her into the cave wall. She hit it with force and she fdll to the ground. Bits of the wall fell ontop of her. The kunoichi wasn't moving.

The young woman's eyes fluttered open and she wheezed. "N-Ni-Nite..." she coughed, blood trickling out of her mouth.

Sakura weakly pulled out a letter and handed it to Nite. "Give this to Naruto for me..." her voice was just barely a whisper.

Nite took it, nodding as tears brimmed her eyes and a scream of rage hovered just behind her lips.

"Get you and Sasuke out of here." With all of her strength, she got up, gripping her Masamune and using it to hold her up. "Go. I need to finish this. Before she reaches the hidden leaf and destroys everything." White chakra surrounded her and gave her strength that she had never felt before. It was like adrenaline. She stood shakily, gripping the Masamune in both of her hands. The demon's eyes went wide.

Nite nodded. She couldn't save Sakura. The least she could do was this. She grabbed Sasukes arm and led him tearfully out.

Sasuke looked back at Sakura with wide eyes. She smiled sadly at him and gave a short nod. He responded with another nod before following Nite, tears prickling his eyes. Sakura charged at the demon with a loud scream. The glow from the white chakra intensifyed.

Nite led Sasuke down the hill, haveing to trust her feet as the white light was blinding so she had to close her eyes.

When the demon and Sakura clashed, there was a large explosion that could've possibly killed the kunoichi and the evil that had once took residence within her. Sasuke turned around, hearing the explosion and watched the flames with wide eyes.

Nite stopped looking at them as well. Tears brimmed her eyes as she smiled sadly. "She proved them all wrong. She was stronger than anyone ever thought.

Sasuke dipped his head slightly, a tear sliding down his cheek. "If only it didn't come down to this." He looked to Nite, "We need to go tell Naruto."

Naruto spotted the two ninjas coming back and said. "There you are! Have you seen Sakura?" he asked. Then he noticed how sad the two looked and Nite replied, "Perhaps you should wait until we are back in Konoha, Hokage-sama."

Naruti seemed to catch on. "N-No...." Nite looked away. "Let's get back to village, Hokage-sama." she said, taking his arm but he pulled away. "You were supposed to protect her. You failed. Sakura's dead because of you!!!!"
'Smack!' Naruto stared at the stone-faced night, holding his face where she'd slapped him. "I. Know. That." She said levely. "Now let's go." She leapt off.

Sasuke gripped Naruto's wrist, his voice cold and firm as he spoke. "Let's get one thing straight. Alright? Don't you dare blame this on Nite. Sakura killed Orochimaru successfully and had been injured in the process. Her demon had somehow been released into this world and Sakura knew what she had to do. She said that we should go so she could stop her demon before it could reach Konoha and kill the ones she loves. She sacrifieced her life for us, Naruto. This was her goddamn choice." He didn't realize how much his voice had risen.

Nite sighed, hearing Sasuke's voice from where she'd gone. Naruto nodded, seeming to have aregained some of his senses. "You're right. I'm sorry." He stated and leapt off.

Nite suddenly was beside him, having leapt from her sulking spot. "It'll- we'll get used to this." she said. "And sometimes we won't be so upset about it." She'd never been one to tell even a sweet lie.

Nite sighed and didn't follow him. She knew they all needed some time alone so she took a left at the get and went to sit by a crystal clear river that she'd been visiting since she was little when something reminded her. She picked up her phone and dialed Ayumi's number.

Ayumi picked up the phone, her voice worried. Sai stood by her. "Nite? Nite, where the hell is everyone? We've been looking everywhere for you!"

Nite sighed. "Things are bad, Ayumi. Sakura's dead. I'm at our spot, I don't know where Sasuke and Naruto are." she said, not having the energy to beat around the bush.
