"Sakura, are you alright? what happened?" Naruto asked, frowning in worry.

Nite walked in and saw him with his head in his hands. "Sasuke? Are you alright?"

Sasuke sucked in a breath as he looked up. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...thinking, I guess." It wasn't exactly a lie.

Sakura sighed, "I was on my way home. Tsunade said that she didn't want me back till I was 100%. I of course argued and that got her mad...but I was on my way back...I was going to surprise you...and I saw Nite and Sasuke fighting a bunch of these guys. I had to help them. It was like that one monster. The one where you cut off its head and two grow back into its place. When you killed one, two just show up out of no where."

Nite sighed and put one hand on his shoulder and used the other to bring his chin up to meet her eyes so he wouldn't be able to lie to her. "Tell me what's wrong."

Naruto frowned. "Everyone's okay, right?"

Sasuke let out a deep breath, "Itachi shows up last night, in your house mind you, and now these guys attack you and Seto? It seems too much of a coincidence..." he murmured.

Sakura nodded into his chest. "Yes."

Nite frowned. "You think it's someone trying to kill anyone close to Itachi.

Naruto breathed a sigh of relief. "Let's get you patched up."

Sasuke nodded, grateful that he didn't have to say it.

Sakura nodded, looking up at him. Her fingers trailed his cheekbone, "Are you sure you're okay?" she asked warily.

Sasuke held her close, sighing into her hair.

Sakura let her hand fall to her side as her head hung. Her bangs casted a shadow over her eyes and suddenly, tears streamed down her face. Did I do something wrong? she asked herself.

Nite stroked his back calmingly.

Naruto came back with all the stuff to clean and bandage sakura's cuts. "What's wrong? Why do you look so depressed?"

Sakura made a sound, a sign that she heard him, as she simply shrugged. She avoided his eyes and didn't speak, afraid the sound of her voice would tell him how she felt. She wanted to tell him what she felt inside but she was scared; scared of how he would react. It terrified her to know she was keeping this from him, but she didn't want to hurt him. She didn't want to lose him.

Sasuke held her tightly, his arms circling around her while they pressed her body into his. One tear escaped his eye as he whispered in her ear, "I'm afraid Nite. Of losing you; of losing Seto. I'm afraid of losing everyone that cares. I'm afraid of losing my family, Nite."

Naruto took her uninjured arm and let her to a chir so their could sit down and he could patch up the cut. (Irony: He's apllying first aid to the medic...)

Nite closed her eyes. "Sasuke, you'll never lose me. I rpomise you, I was going to die soon, there are lots of times I should have. I'm like a bloody cockroach. Hardest thing ever to kill."

Sakura let him patch up her wound. She stayed quiet, occasionally wincing or gritting her teeth, but didn't make a move to speak.

Sasuke sighed, "That doesn't make me feel better, Nite."

Naruto didn't push her to talk, mumbling apologies when she'd wince.

Nite smiled a bit. "Well, I don't know what to say but that ypu're stuck with me."

She nodded, ignoring the gash on her cheek and forehead. She'd deal with it later even though her vision was slightly blurry.

Sasuke sighed with her.

Nite played with the ends of his spiky hair, she decided to break the silence with a childish remark. "Do you use hair gel? becuase your hair is too long to spike like it does on it own..."

Sasuke chuckled lightly, pulling away and giving her a slight smile. "You're not serious. Right?" he asked.

Sakura sighed and shrugged. "I'm going to go lay down." She said softly and quietly, not sure if Naruto heard her. She got up shakily and made her way up the stairs and into her room.

Sakura sighed as she lay down, curling up. Her eyes fluttered shut and soon, she was asleep.

Sasuke smiled and nuzzled his forehead against hers.

Tears stained her face and stung the gash on her cheek. She whimpered, murmuring Naruto's name in a tone of fear and pain. Slowly, her face became peaceful as she rolled to her side, facing Naruto. Sasuke held Nite close, stroking her back as he cupped the back of her head.

Sakura forced a smile and nodded. "Mhm...," she murmured before yawning quietly. She snuggled into the pillow, curling up a little. "I'm sorry; for downstairs. I'm just tired and confused a little." She let her emerald eyes meet cerulean. Sasuke pulled her onto his lap, his hands working up her chest.
