"Nice dude."
He looked back down to his plate in the silence, munching on his food.

"Awww, but layer 23 is hazelnut based!" he joked, "Okay, I'll give you it without that layer. I actually learnt all of this in my little job; it's pretty easy, you just need to the right proportions and all, y'know?"
He bit into his pepperoni-topped pizza with a smile.

"Far enough, we shall forget later 23 then...also better play it safe with layer 14, it depends on the brand of chocolate for that, but we may add it in, you never know," he pointed at up before picking up another slice, "I may need to get more pizza though."
Chris shrugged lightly before looking over her shoulder to Digby looking miserable as usual...typical.

CHris finally stuffed the pasta in his mouth.

"I hope it doesn't make to big of a difference. And if you need food, go and get it. I'll be fine." She told him.

Andy and Rex had sat down at a table, and began to eat. "Why is Chris wet?" Andy asked.
"Beats me."

"I don't need it, I just want it. That's how I got all of this."
He grabbed the little flab that was there. The truth was that due to Chris' hobbies and interests: drumming, football, running etc. he was actually rather fit and healthy and was rather buff.
"Oh well, I think I'll save room for the sundae actually."

"Oh yeah, the fat practically hangs off you." Kyle laughed, totally joking. "You could be a professional model with how good you look." she told him this comment being true. She took a bite of pizza, praying she hadn't offended her.

"Yeah, everyone says that," he chuckled, "No, I'm not a model."
He hadn't heard that one before: fireman, scientist, drummer, Tori's bitch... Now, model was a new one to him.
"Yes, that's going to be my new career path!"

"You would do quite well." She told him. She was glad he took the joke, she hated when people didn't. She was quite certain her roommate would be one of them.

And that was when it got awkward, "Well when having me come here, my did forgot to mention I was a boy." She said. "He tries his hardest to think that, but it doesn't work."

"Wait, what? Sorry if I got this wrong but... You're dad thinks that you're a bloke, hence why you're called Kyle, do football, do karate, eat so much..."
By the end of that he was a whisper. He slammed his fist on the table with rage.
"I don't get why dad's just can't accept their kids for being them! It's ridiculous! It's happening to everyone!"

Kyle nodded, and took a sip of soda. "I would eat this much if he made me or not." She stated. "But yes, that's pretty much correct."
Go William! echoed in her mind. She never went to dances, and balls the schools held, because well her dad wanted her to wear pants and not go with a boy, but with a girl. She didn't want that.

"Yeah, my dad's a little...it doesn' matter actually, let's leave it at that, eh?"
He smiled, taking the bowl and walking over to the ice cream stall rather quickly.

Kyle kicked the leg of the table. That was not how she intended for things to go. Not in the slightest. I guy winked as he walked by. "Get over it buddy, you're not even close to my type."

Great. Great. Great. Chris, you need to learn to keep your mouth shut when it gets even close to that!
Scooping in the ice cream, he decided to add in a few more layers for himself, remembering to make sure that there were no nuts in Kyle's bowl at all; three years working in an ice cream parlour and another in the family restaurant it left him pretty clever with these things.

The guy walked away from Kyle. She piled up her empty plates, and waited. She wondered if he would say anything when he got back.

Sighing, he finished off the whipped cream and picked up the bowls, thanking Jeebus for his muscles.
"Okay, without nuts," he plopped down the one with the extra cherry, "Sorry, it's just my way of remembering, you don't mind do you?"
He put on the table those extra long spoons and sighed, looking at the bowl infront of him: The Monster.

"Not at all,"she said, grabbing a spoon, and digging in. It was an awkward silence or so she thought. No one had ever acted in that way before. Most people just laughed.

Challenge- Anything Goes - Page 3 Empty Re: Challenge- Anything Goes

Post by OpenTheDoor Sat Dec 18, 2010 6:05 pm

Chris just sighed, deciding that he was hungry. He needed to speak to someone that knew about family disasters, but unfortunately this was an all-boys' school, plus Tori couldn't be away from home for a long time...
"So, how is it?"
He ignored the mouth-waters from the boys behind her, almost leaping onto it. Everyone knew that Chris could make killer sundaes, it was just that he rarely did it.

"Awww, he's trying to impress her. She'll be in a surprise when she finds out, eh?" Digby muttered to himself, taking a bite from some cake, "Poor Chris and Kyle."

"She doesn't look like the girl who is looking to go out with anyone at the moment." Chris commenting.

"Wonderful." She said, eating a cherry and spitting out the pit. "Like no joke, its like amazing."

Chris just nodded, "I know. In the old parlour this would have cost you quite a bit but of course it's designed for more than one person, but I've always managed to go the whole hog so I thought that I may as well give my apprentice a go. I might give you the recipe for it."
He winked OTT-like after laughing.

"Yeah, well Chris isn't either, he's just...him."
Digby shrugged, "Also she may be disappointed with him later."

"Probably but she was sent here so not much can top this disappointment." Christ told him.

Kyle looked down at her half finished sundae still eating it. "I don't cook, or do anything in the kitchen unless it can be put in a microwave." she told him. "I'll leave you to making the creations."

Post by OpenTheDoor Sat Dec 18, 2010 6:39 pm

"I think we've all been disappointed at least once in our lifes, it's just that some people get it more than others. Some people just prefer to cling onto hope, just wishing their lives through. Others kid themselves about reality, but then others realise the truth and end the suffering for themselves... They have the most influential thing in their life in common and they're bonding from that, it's easy to do with a girl, but you always fall in love that way. First hand experience mate, and I've been in or been close to all of them."
Digby looked to Chris whilst talking, rambling in uncontrolably like a babboon.

"Yes because you stick ice cream in the oven and baist it in it's juices half-way through cooking, eh?" he joked, "I'll give it to you anyway."

Chris nodded, understanding. But something just told him, she had never fallen in love and never really cared. Something told him that she was more of a guy than any person here.

Kyle laughed. "Thanks." She would use it sometime, but she was no good with food preparation.

"So, Andy, why do you keep staring at her?" Rex asked.
"I don't know, why not."
"Don't you think she gets enough of that, why don't you give it a rest. You get to look at her all the time, after all she is your roommate."
And sighed and returned to his hamburger, "She trying out for football."
"What? no."
Andy just nodded.

Digby sighed, "But I think Chris likes her, she's a bloke but with breasts..."
That shouldn't have escaped his mouth at all. Crap.

"Not a problem," Chris smiled, "It's pretty simple anyway; it's all just flavour combos and if the layers repel each other and mix horribly then you'll get a disaster. The easiest way to fix it is simply to put layers pf vanilla or cornish inbetween: they go with anything."

Chris chuckled a little, but hid it as best he could. It was true though.

Kyle nodded pretending like she understood what he was saying. All of his cooking terms just flew over her head. She knew what vanilla was, but cornish she was clueless on.
