Kyle smirked and walked out of the room. And out onto campus.

Rex then walked into the room. "You're new roommate crazy?"
"You have no idea, she's nuts."
Rex did a double take, "She?"
"Yeah, she. My dad, has decided to see how we would handle a girl on campus. Mainly its because her dad forgot to mention she was a girl."
Rex's eyebrow raised in confusion.

Kyle was walking onto a large lawn, boys taking glances at her, and whispering. They wanted to know why she was their, what she was doing. A girl on campus was new to them.
Kyle however had no idea where she was going, she just kept on walking.

Fair enough, I'm the same but feeling smaller now due to all the boys having growth spurts. Ah, 14, a good age for 'love'.

"Have you heard?"
Silence.
"Dude? Have you heard?"
The sound of rustling paper was the only noise.
"Digby! Answer me you twot!"
"What?!"
On the bed, the boy clad in black put the comic down, headphones thzt were streched over his ears were now down on his neck. The sheer look of annoyancy was enough to make his roommate sigh.
"Are you listening to me?"
"I am now! Just freakin' say wha- What's up?"
Digby didn't sit up from his dark corner, instead, he just continued to stare at Chris.
"Apparently there's a girl in the school. In an all-boy boarding school there's a girl."
"Really? That's not awkward..." Digby muttered in response, not caring, "that's great."
Chris slammed the side of his fist into the wall, trying to keep the anger down a bit, "Digby, calm down on the sarcasm: none of us know you apart from me, okay? You need to get that not all people are as easy to get on with as..."
Digby raised a hand as if he acknowledged Chris' comment, stopping him dead in his tracks, "Nice."
"...I'm going to get some air or something. You're doing my nut in already, y'know?"
Chris walked out of the door in a huff and a hurry without another word leaving Digby in peace again, just the way he wanted it.

Challenge- Anything Goes - Page 2 Empty Re: Challenge- Anything Goes

Kyle finally slowed down her pace, and sat on a bench. She felt quite awkward, as boys would walk past, multiple times. She would glare at them. One sat on the bench next to her. She felt like a puppy in the window of a pet shop. Its like they had never seen a girl before.

"So what sports does she play?" Rex asked.
"Dad said she was a goalie." Andy said. "Don't know if I want her on the team though."
"Why not?"
"First I don't know if she is good or not, and second well she's a girl."
"But if she isn't allowed on the team, good or not..." Rex trailed off.
"I know, I know it can be considered discrimination." Andy said. "But dad said the footage he saw was showing was a good."
"Well we'll just have to wait till tryouts."
"Yeah, and get a coach." Andy added.
Rex nodded, "Have you seen Chris anywhere?"
"Which one?" Andy asked.
"My roommate, God I swear he is a magician or something." he laughed.

Post by OpenTheDoor Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:02 pm

Sighing, Chris took a seat on a bench outside. Taking out his phone, he starting to write a message. With each letter his smirk grew larger, almost like he could see the person's face right then.
"This is going to be fun, Chris. Spending time in an all-boys' boarding school but with one girl. Dad did say that I'd prefer it that way anyway, the-"
He stopped when he realised who was on the bench opppsite him: the girl. The boy sitting next to her looked kinda like he was having a heart attack and he was going to faint due to him seeing a girl. Chris didn't get what the deal was.
"Hey! Just because she wasn't got a cock doesn't mean that she hasn't got more balls than you! Get outta here!"
The guy just raised a brow before moving on. Chris just smirked at the girl slightly in as friendly-a-way as possible without trying to freak her out.

Kyle couldn't help but giggle just a little. "Thanks." She said. Although she could handle herself, it was good to have someone who didn't act like she had three heads.

Chris smirked slightly, taking a seat next to her, "Not a problem, I'm Chris, and you are?"
He guessed that because she was the only girl here she was getting treated like she was from Venus, the least he could do was settle that. Sure, he found it weird that a girl was at an all-boys' school, but he could live with that.

"Kyle." She told him. Maybe just her name would shed some light on the situation of why she was at an all boys school. But who knows, some people she had to literally spell it out. But others her name was enough. Her roommate she had to tell him everything, because he was acting so stupid. She preferred to give out the smallest bit of info possible.

"Kyle? No wonder you're here," he sniggered, "sorry, just that I never expected a girl to be at an all-boys' school, y'know? But, I guess I'd rather to be talking to you than my downer of a roommate anytime."
By that time he was in a medium-to-loud chuckle. A few of the boys decided that because he was talking to her and the simple fact that they knew that he had a bite, they backed off slightly.
"Sorry, I think I'm a comedian at times, plus we always take the mick of Digby at times."

She nodded, the name she went by was more feminine than her first name, she knew that, but said nothing. "Don't be sorry." She told him. "And whose Digby? If you don't mind asking."

"Digby... Digby is..."
He honestly didn't know how to describe him to be honest: he was just him. From the lack of speech and human interaction to his love for music, art and guitar; he was just glad for the positives.
"He's my room-mate and guitarist in the band that we were in. There were five of us, me being the drummer but that's currently on hold while we're here. We're still in contact with the other three, but apparently it's a lot quieter without me; it wouldn't make a difference if Digby left, the little downer. What's your hobbies then? That's all I've basically got."
Yet again he started to chuckle.

Musician, that was nice. He seemed like kind of a troublemaker from what he said. "Uh,I do sports mostly. Karate and soccer." She explained. "I'm third degree black belt, then I quit, and soccer, well I play goalie. But who knows how that will go here." she said. Her dad's yells echoing in her mind Go William!. "I'm not all to interesting." her stomach growled, and more guys were passing, as it was dinner time.

"Andy, it's time for dinner."
"I'm coming." And said, as he walked out of the bathroom zipping up his pants. The two walked out of the dorm.

"Black belt and not interesting? In my head that's pretty conversational. Goalie's a good position, that's the one I'm seen in due to a dodgy knee. Apart from that, I still think that's pretty cool."
Finally listening to his stomach, he stood up and smiled, waiting for her to stand too so that they could move over to the food, something that he needed that second.

Digby sighed, putting his comic down. Putting his headphones around his neck again, he went of the room, closing it gently behind him. Now, he had no idea where to go, but it was obvious that it was dinner time; most of the guys outside was ranting and raving on whether the food was going to be good or not...plus he was pretty peckish.
"Okay, just follow the signs..." he muttered.
As he did, a group of guys ran into his back, making him mutter rather loudly. Shrugging it off, something that he never did, he just followed the crowd behind another pair.

Kyle got up. "I guess it can be." she told him. "And being in a band is a hell of a lot more interesting than soccer and karate. you must have some good stories." She told him.

"Dude what are you doing?" Andy asked, "You look like a person who has never played halo before walking around."
"I'm looking for Chris." he said. "I haven't seen him since yesterday."

"Just a few, most of them vented between the relationship between one of us and the lead guitarist... She's something special."
He just nodded as he spoke, holding open the door as he muttered to himself.

"Chris Garter?"
Digby piped up, knowing that it probably wouldn't be in the end, but he never knew. Chris tended to get around a lot anyway, much more than him.

Kyle nodded, "So their was drama, I take it." Kyle said walking through the door and keeping it open for him. Her hair fell in her eyes, and with her opposite hand, she pushed it away.

Rex turned around, "No, sorry. Chris Evensley."
Andy nudged him, "I guess all the people named Chris at the school are magicians." he laughed.

My laptop is breaking then.

"Not like that, she was kinda... It was way more complicated that it first seemed, but I meant like she was the- Nevermind."
He sighed walking through muttering his thanks.

Digby just raised a brow at the pair, not bothering to talk.
That's why, Chris. That's why.
He sighed slightly before practically pushing past them to get into the queue first; he wasn't in the mood, but then again he never was.

Andy shrugged it off.
Rex looked at him, "He's an elf, not a magician."
"I know that, and I think my roommate is one too."
"The girl?"
"No the alien, yes the girl," Andy said. "I just have that feeling.
They lined up behind the guy, and each took a tray.

"Sorry." Kyle said, knowing she had asked to many questions. She really needed to learn that their were people like her, and some people didn't like to talk about everything.

Digby just put his tray down on the bars, sighing lightly. The music still played rather loudly from his headphones but nobody has complained. Yet.
Picking up a bottle of water, he placed it on the tray whispering the lyrics to the song.

Chris shrugged with a smile, "Don't worry, I've had it all before."
Picking up a tray, he spied Digby being grumpy as usual. It was easy to tell.
"Y'see the guy wearing all black with the white streaks? That's Digby," Chris nodded to him as he thought he looked at him. He didn't react, "Great."

"Oh." Kyle said, walking up to the line. "He looks like a big ball of fun." she joked. She grabbed a tray, and looked at the food, it looked rather good, like what you would get from a buffet at a nice restaurant. She spotted the pizza and asked for three slices. The guy behind her gave her an oinking noise, she turned and punched him in the gut. He was left gasping for some air.

Andy grabbed a burger, and Rex took a salad, as they waited in line to check out, the pulled out their student ID's. "Stop looking for him, you look like a chicken who looks like it missed its meal." Andy said.

It was then Chris popped in, wet. He slid along the far wall of the cafeteria. And went to the pasta bar, and grabbed a large plate of spaghetti, no one was their so he checked out, and sat at a table.

"Nice shot," he smirked, "Anyway, I don't see why people have to judge just because you're a girl and only having three slices..."
He smirked as he asked for four, just to rub it in a bit. Hey, he was a bloke.
"And he is a ball of fun if you catch him in a good mood, but that's rare nowadays to be honest: girls tend to make him smirk, but only certain ones, out guitarist for example; he had a small crush on her but didn't say because he, and everyone, knew that our singer liked her too and he was more outgoing and so-on, but I think she rather liked him... Not that you probably care, eh?"

Digby sighed, his plate of chips upon his tray as he sat down at a table with the other, rather wet, Chris.
"Why are you wet?"
He asked the question that most people were thinking, it was just that perfect mix of bluntness and ignorance that made it possible for him to say it.

"No its quite interesting, I might have been raised like a girl, but stories like that I find quite intriguing. Guess its part of me ya know." She smiled, and took three brownies, "Besides I was saving room for these." She grabbed a fork.

"'Em rain." he lied. It wasn't true, he was trying to get accustomed to his roommate, bu that had seemed to fail.

"I guess, but then again no-one tends to listen to me, my advice and my general amazingness."
He picked up a huge ice cream bowl and a scoop and placed it onto his tray, grinning like a maniac.
"Yes, but the killer ice cream sundaes that I make is way better m'dear."

"It's not raining outside though, nor has it in the past..." he pretended to count on his fingers, "week. Good weather for once, eh?"
He stabbed his fork into a bunch of ketchup-soaked fries before shoving them into his mouth, the ketchup dripping down his chin like a vampire, something that Chris constantly compared him to at times.

"Oh, right." Chris said nervously. He decided to hopefully let the subject drop. He twirled his pasta around his fork, but didn't eat it.

"Their missing out." Kyle laughed. As she grabbed a soda. "And if your sundeaes are as good as you say they are then I might have to try one, just no nuts." She said. She was allergic, her dad never learned that though, despite the three hospital trips she had to take because of it.

"Nice dude."
He looked back down to his plate in the silence, munching on his food.

"Awww, but layer 23 is hazelnut based!" he joked, "Okay, I'll give you it without that layer. I actually learnt all of this in my little job; it's pretty easy, you just need to the right proportions and all, y'know?"
He bit into his pepperoni-topped pizza with a smile.
