Norah Spektor- Female

Mahogany brown hair with choppy layers; raven black lowlights, length ending just past her breasts. Dark, nearly black heavily lidded eyes. Skin so white that it's almost translucent. Standing at 5"4 and weighing in at 105 pounds. A slight, but developed girl with a wiry frame. She has one streak of a blond and black coontail that she dyed just to defy her parents when she was 15. A small silver nose stud and crossbone gauges along with several other ear piercings.

Quiet, but enjoys meeting new people. Formerly part of her older sister's band Cable Cars, in which she played electric guitar and a little bit of keyboard when the keyboardist couldn't play. Loves to tell lame jokes. Could be described as an introvert through grade school, given her dark jeans and heavy metal band tees, as well as her inability to carry on a conversation. One of her most prized possessions are her black and white converse. Don't be fooled by her delicate looks- she's a rocker chick at heart.

I don't know We have Harlie and Daz who are at the house and still do't know about Theo being in a car crash. We have Matt who is in hospital with Noelle, half visiting Theo, and Theo is in a hospital bed with Journey and his sister in the room

Stupid b*tch. Can't believe my own sister kicked me out of her band.

I thought angrily as I shifted my heavy guitar case, sure that my face was openly showing my anger. I blew the blue streak away from my face, my eyes looking around for a place to sit. This thing was starting to give me a cramp.

Finding a wood bench, I gently placed my case down and threw myself down, taking a swig of water from my bottle. What the heck am I supposed to do now? I was saving up for a car from the money that we got from our gigs, but now I had nothing.

Sighing heavily, I bent down and retied my bright green shoe laces, but my shaking hands made the task nearly impossible.

I'll just hve Journey go for a walk.

Journey : after a few more hours of watching of Theo sleep, I decide to go for a walk. I could use some fresh air anyway. As I walk down the street, I start hearing this music. It's really good. I - without realizing it - slide my drumsticks out of my back pocket and start tapping out a beat on my thigh to myself. I can just imagine the sound of my drums back home. I stop walking when I spo the girl, but I don't stop tapping.
"Hey." I smile down at her, "You're pretty good." I realize I'm still tapping and I abruptly stop. Whoops...

I had my case open at my feet, and a small crowd of people had begun to form. I noticed one elderly couple drop in a 5, one younger girl a few ones, even a middle age man toss a crumpled 10. It was a good day so far.

I had my eyes closed- really getting into the rythm. My calloused fingers drifted along the fret bar, while my right hand strummed a simple rythm- up, up, down down down, up, down. My skin had become moist with sweat as the song progressed, which was kind of gross, but I barely noticed. It was like I had tunnel vision- all I could see was the music.

I finished with a long, drawn out G chord, and finally opened my eyes to see another girl had come to sit by me, tapping along to the beat with her drumsticks.

"Thank you." I responded to her compliment halfheartedly, Cable Cars still on my mind. "You in a band?" I ask, my gaze flitting to her sticks.

Journey: "eh, was," I admit. "But i quit. School got in the way and i just...the music we started playing just wasn't worth my time," i shrug, slipping my drumsticks away again. "Are you?" I ask, nodding to her guitar.

I laughed bitterly at the question, but knew she wouldn't understand. "Was." I said, struggling to compose my features. "I, uh. Play alone. I street perform." That reminded me- I glanced down at my case, taking the bills and counting them out. It added up to $24.59. Not much, but it was something.

Journey : I nod appreciatively. "Cool," I look around as the awkward silence stretches on. "Maybe we could start our own band. I know a bassist and a pianist." I smirk only half joking. I'd like to show my last band (we were called the Stairway to Nowhere) what real music sounded like. I wasn't so sure about Noelle playing the keyboard for us...she wasn't really into playing with others. (long story) but I bet I could get her to join. Maybe.

I wasn't quite up for starting another band just yet, but it was something to think about. We'd probably need someone to do vocals- I couldn't sing to save my life.

The silence was becoming really awkward, so I just nodded. "I'll think about it." I responded, kicking myself for being so socially anept.

God Norah, can't you just carry on a simple coversation?

"I'm Norah, by the way."

Journey : I hold my hand out for her to shake. "Journey. Nice to meet you." as I think about it, Norah is a lot like a sober Noelle. Maybe we'd get along. "So are you from around here or just visiting?" I ask her curiously.
