"What is it? Did you drop your phone or something?" My face turns blank. "Shit." I reach into my jean pockets, drawing out a very wet looking mobile phone. I sigh, throwing it towards the beach, it landed right on Noelle's jacket.

Noelle: i smile in amusement. "Very smooth," I say, taking in a few deep breaths. "I'll be right back. If i'm not up in...2 minutes, i'm probably drowning," or dead, i add mentally.

Noelle: I remember the skeleton hand. "I might as well be," I mutter to myself before diving back down and swimming toward the silver necklace. or, chain..i wonder what it leads to. I brace myself and start tugging at the chain once more, ignoring the cold fear in my stomach as the hand makes its second appearance. I close my eyes and just pull until i free it. I open one eye slowly. the necklace looks old. I mean, ancient. But it's still in tact and there's a little locket attached. I swim back up, a small smile on my face.

"Is that what you dropped?" I asked. Not exactly something you'd want to drop, looks like it's worth a lot. But then my eyes lock onto the locket. Crap. That probably meant boyfriend, husband, lover. I felt a lump in my throat suddenly. What was I doing?

Noelle: i purse my lips, studying it. "I'll take a closer look when we get back to shore. I think we should head back anyway. My ass is freezing out here," i roll my eyes and start swimming back for shore.

Noelle: I look over at him. "As inviting as that sounds, i think i'll be able to get there faster by myself than riding you." i say with a smirk before swimming away quickly. yeah, i had some mad swimming skills. kind of.

I shook my head, turning around on my front. I took a deep breath before going underwater, arrive on the shore without putting my head up once. I sat on the beach, waiting a few more seconds for her.

Noelle: I stumble on the beach a little before collapsing on the sand beside him.
"Ok, i was in there longer than you. So...i'm colder," i say. yay, i win. whatever. I look around for my jacket and drape it over me as i lay down again, shivering.

Noelle: I open my eyes after a moment and stare after him as he goes searching for something. He's not that bad, actually. I mean, he's cute, which isn't a bad thing, and he's...sweet. sometimes. I pull his jacket around my shoulders more closely. I could almost see myself being with him. almost. i look away from him as he starts my way again. Maybe it's just because i haven't been with anyone --seriously, anyway -- in a long time. i just..can't.

I walked into Uncle's old Beer Garden, not really expecting to see other people. I didn't think there was anyone else there. Until I heard laughing and talking.
"Hello?" I whispered, walking in on Matt, and who I presume is is new Girlfriend.

Noelle: "Jesus, calm down." I lean away from him with a smirk. I glance over my shoulder and see someone heading toward us. It's this pretty little blonde girl. I wonder if...I glance between a still weirded out Matt and then her. Possibly. I find myself frowning. Why would i care? I shouldn't though...But still. I swallow and look back out at the ocean.
