Matt: Why am I even doing this? I just leave my scooter. I knew I'd just be stopping every couple of minutes anyway. I run down the street, seeing virtually no-one. Eventually I slam my head on the fence and let out my frustration. "Ughhhh!" I yell, my voice echoing slightly.

[lily "the author" hanna]

Noelle: I watch pitifully as one of Vin's gang bangers slams the poor boy up against the wall before letting him run -- or limp -- away.
"Vin, I--"
"No need to apologize, Noelle," he half smiles dangerously. I let out a deep breath and walk closer to him. He doesn't say a word as he takes me up in his arms. I shiver a little as his lips travel down my neck. Journey's gonna kill me later, i think, swallowing.
"You know..you never did pay me for last month..." he whispers against my collar bone. I freeze.
"That's not why I'm here, Vin," I start quietly. his pale eyes seem to darken.
"Well you should be."
"Vin," I start fearfully. His fingers pull my chin up to face him. he smiles gently down at me, but i don't fall for it. his eyes give away what he's going to do. i try pulling away, but i can't.
"If you won't pay me back the usual way...then you'll have to pay in blood," he whispers, almost pleasantly. he plays with my lip ring with his thumb. "Hm.." he murmurs. then, before i can even react, he grips my lip ring between his index finger and thumb and pulls. hard. I shriek. or scream. whatever the hell came out of my mouth when he ripped my freaking lip ring out! I fall to the ground, holding my hand up to my mouth. God, it hurts so fucking bad. and it's bleedin. i knew i shouldn't have come here..but i did.
"Good to see you again, Noelle," he throws over my shoulder before walking away.

Matt: My head Jerks up as I hear a scream. Even if it wasn't her, I always said that I was up for a fight with anyone. I ran to the general direction of the shreik until I saw a man standing patiently. "Uh, 'scuse me, did you just hear that?" I ask.

[lily "the author" hanna]

Karter: I look down at the little guy. "No," i say, shrugging. "You hearin' things or what, buddy?" I ask out of boredom.

Matt: "No, I'm not hearing things. If you didn't hear that though, I'd be glad to recommend my doctor for hearing tests." I smiled politely.

[lily "the author" hanna]

Karter: I just go back to looking out for anyone that would really be a risk. sheesh..kids...

Noelle: I try wiping my now bloodstained hand on my jacket, but the blood keeps welling up. I wince. this isn't going to heal any time too soon. and i can't just get up and go anywhere i want. people will start asking questions that i don't want to answer.

Matt: "Well, tell me if you remember anything, why don't you." I answer, pushing past him lightly and walking down the alleyway that he was blocking.

Noelle: I start standing up, grimacing in pain as I open my mouth to take a breath. Then I turn around. My eyes widen. It's Matt.

Matt: My jaw drops. "Holy-" I shake my head. "What happened?"

[lily "the author" hanna]

Noelle: "I...well..." I wince. You'd be surprised how much you need your lips to talk. "I got my...um, lip ring, caught on...my jacket." that sounded ok, didn't it? I mean, that would explain the blood, at least.

Matt: "And where's your ring now then?" I ask, approaching her quickly.

[lily "the author" hanna]

Noelle: "Um..it..must've..fallen somewhere," I lie. god, i'm terrible at this.

Matt: "No more cherry tying for a while then." I joke. I pick her up. It wasn't like she had hurt her leg or anything, but I wanted to help... "Looks like we'll be paying Miss Riley a visit..."

Noelle: I frown at that. then i close my eyes and swear at myself. God, i need to stop making faces! just..ugh! "I'm fine. a kiss and a band aid is all it needs," I mumble. then realize what i just said. "I mean..not literally of course! because..considering..a kiss would hurt...a lot..probably..." I stammer, not looking at him.

Matt: "No need to talk." I whisper, kissing her nose. I walk back the way I went in, just about to walk up to the other guy. I put my face close to hers as we walk past, covering both of our mouths. "I guessed that he isn't the sort of person that you want knowing what had happened." I whispered as I walked past.

Noelle: I shake my head minutely. i have the urge to press my lips together to hold back the words i want to say and to keep myself from acting upon my feelings, but i know either way -- whether i do or not -- pain is always going to find its way. physically or emotionally. probably both too. so i just keep myself as close to Matt as i can. because that's all i want for now.

Matt: Well, the going really closeto each other so the dude wouldn't ask questions thing was just supposed to be a cover. But I didn't want to stand back upright. I mean, she was probabl a little freaked out, but I smiled down at her anyway. I wanted to whisper just three simple words to her, but was it too soon? She obviously didn't feel the same way though. I mean, she probably just waned someone to hang around with. Just a friend to have a few drinks with. Friends with benefits. Or just friends. Whatever she felt we needed to do or be, I'd go with.

Noelle: after we'd gotten past Karter, i leaned more against Matt. I could get used to this. Well..without the split lip and the bleeding. otherwise...yeah...
I close my eyes and lay my cheek on his shoulder. "This is nice," I murmur to myself. i'm pretty sure he doesn't hear it. or, i hope he doesn't.

Matt: "It'll be nicer when you've got some anesthetic in you." I say quietly, the hospital in sight now.

[lily "the author" hanna]

Noelle: I open an eye to look at him. "We're seriously going back to the hospital huh?" I mutter. then sigh. might as well end this now before a perky little someone ends it for me. "Can you put me down now? I'm pretty sure i can walk," i add with a half hearted smirk.

Matt: "It's not quite the same as the last time we drove past it. You need to get that stitched up." I just brushed past the 'put me down' comment.

Noelle: I sigh. how was i going to get him to stop walking so i could get out of his arms. i don't hesitate before i press my lips to his. i wince as pain shocks me a little, but i don't pull back. he instantly freezes. and then before i can pull away, he's kissing me back. isn't this what i wanted? How can i back down now? Oh yeah, i wanted to walk again. i force myself not to open my mouth any wider than it is and pull back. he's staring at me with wide eyes. i stare back for a brief moment, then i manage to get myself out of his arms.
i dare to look back at him. "so...those stitches?" i say quietly.

Matt: I stare at her for a breif moment, but blink quickly. "Uh, yeah, yeah." I say, walking up the ramp towards the hospital I open the door for her. "After you, miss." Well that was unexpected. Very, very unexpected. I shake my head once more, trying to rid myself of those thoughts, but can't. I bite my lip. What now?
