(Hm, i'm not sure if Kate had anything planned to do with Sebby and Salice, so maybe we should wait for her o.o or I could have Damani go up at the stairs, at least )

Damani: I leave the young lord there at his game and head for the stairs, thinking through what to say to Salice. How to explain to her that I was in the Shadow court, but that I'm not part of it? She never listened for very long when it came to the Shadow King and his court. Frankly, he could barely hold her attention long enough before she tried to change whatever subject they spoke about in the first place.

Salice: I force my nails out of the wood of the door before taking a step back so that I was at eye level with Sebastian. "Well, if you think you know why he's here, then why don't you enlighten me, hm, Sebastian?" I say smoothly, keeping my expression under check.

Damani: I blink. "I...I'd be fine with that. I'm not sure how'd you convince Salice to actually hold still for a photo of herself," I admit, half smiling.

i'm here!! i might not be replying very diligently because my little brother and i are playing a computer game that involves thinking. a shock these days
i'll just reply to salice if that's okay.

Sebastian: "I never said I did," I said equally smoothly and with a small smile. "I just thought you would." I sketch a quick bow. "Forgive me for disturbing, lady. I will let you get back to--" I glanced at the gouge marks in the wood. "--to what you were doing. Dinner will be ready soon."

Salice: My eyes narrow minutely, but I nod in acknowledgement and continue to close the door. But right as I hear my lock click, there's a flash of black and I know I'm not alone in my room anymore. Anger flares up in me and I barely have enough control to keep from lashing out with a demon curse at the intruder.

Of course it's Damani, so I don't hold back as I snarl the words to an offensive curse in his direction. But he surprises me by deflecting it so easily, barely raising a finger. I snort in disdain. "What, did the Shadow King grant you powers beyond the average demon? Is that why you conceded to him?" I ask coldly.

Sebastian: I hear voices on the other side of the door. Damani must have appeared. At least that meant he wasn't downstairs with the young master. I returned to the kitchen via the back stairs so as to get there more quickly.

(Now i'm, like, chatting with myself :S how fun! hey, it is it's like when I talk to myself...)

Damani: I meet her angry gaze for only a moment before avoiding it. "I know you think that I must've spent much time in the Shadow kingdom, and I admit, I was there for a certain number of days. And yes," I interrupt her as she starts to argue with me,"he did offer many things if I accepted his request of joining his court. But I didn't. And do you know why, Salice?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at her, my voice rising. "It's because I knew you loathed the king and his people. I knew that you'd never speak of me kindly again - not that you ever do. But I knew for certain that you'd do anything in your power to strike against me," I say, watching as her expression becomes guarded. I look away again. "I refused because I knew what my choices were. It was either join him, or lose you." I finish simply.

Sebastian: Dinner was almost ready; I just had to add the finishing touches. It was a mundane task, one that allowed me plenty of time with my thoughts, which was unfortunate for many reasons.
So, the young master had returned. I knew Salice had orchestrated that. He had shown absolutely no intention of returning when he left, and Salice had been much to delighted when we were in the same room together. If she had had nothing to do with the young master's arrival--and in fact had been surprised--she would have been angered, not amused.
I still had no idea why she would want to do this. Her own enjoyment played into it, but she always seemed to be operating towards a higher purpose than simple pleasure, but maybe I was over thinking this. Maybe she was bored and wanted to be amused.
I sighed. Thinking about this was only steadily annoying me.

lol ^^ he is(: like, he knows where i live, but i've never told him...(i have a feeling my best friend told him v.v) and he never leaves me alone...until i pinch him and tell him to leave. then usually he goes on his way(:

yeah and what to do with sebby humph. maybe damani goes to talk to him...that's the only interaction we haven't had so far well we haven't really had ciel and sebastian really talk yet...but that won't happen right now obv.

gosh, you have no idea x.x but oh well(: at least he's not a mean stalker, he's actually a somewhat okay guy. most of the time.


Salice: My eyes widen and all I can do is stare at him, my mouth hanging open slightly. He doesn't even look at me, just looks out the window, looking as though he's thinking really hard about something. I stagger back, breaking my gaze and letting my eyes flicker around wildly. What was he saying? That he cared about me? Demons don't care for each other! I recoil at that word.
"You just have to keep doing that, don't you?" I whisper coolly, at this his eyes are back on me in an instant.
"What? I'm just saying--"
"Don't! I don't want to hear it! You're always showing off how much better you are at keeping your humanity!" I snarl, my lip pulled back in disgust. "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." I retort, crossing my arms over my chest. I know, I was acting like a child, but he was too! Always the show off...

Damani: I can't believe she can just brush it off like that. I clench my jaw and stalk forward, pushing past her. "Fine then. I won't be humane anymore," I say, twisting my words sneeringly. "Apparently being human isn't enough for you. For anyone." I throw over my shoulder. I dont' even use my hands to throw open the door, just use the energy I have from my anger to destroy the lock and push through the now open door and down the stairs.

yeah, he's much older than Salice - in demonic years, as I call it - and has had more interaction time with humans. thus the fact that he can be so much like them. their ways sort of rub off on him, haha(:

oh, yes, he gets very annoying. but he's kinda like a dog. if you get really mad at him, he forgives you easily, lol

Sebastian: I hear a disturbance from upstairs that breaks into my thoughts. I glanced up. Somebody was come down the stairs at an alarming pace and they seemed to have amassed quite a lot of energy about them. I stepped into the hall--another servant hall, whoever was coming towards me had used the back way too--and spotted Damani at the foot of the stairs. "Is everything alright?" I asked.

Damani: I force away the red that seems to have taken over my vision and focus on the butler, Sebastian. "Yes, nothing to worry about," I say, having collected myself by now. I put on a weary smile. "Anything that needs to be taken care of? A distraction sounds good right about now," i try to joke.

Sebastian: "I have a few more things to do in the kitchen, but they would get done faster with an extra set of hands," I said. It didn't take an intellect such as mine to realize how enraged Damani had been only moments before. Something must have occurred between him and Salice, again.

Damani: I nod. I had little to no experience in the kitchen, but I could learn quickly. That's why the Shadow king had--- I frown, pushing that thought away. I knew I was very angry with Salice, but I also knew I'd have to face her again. I still needed to send a message to her from the heir, for the current king was ill and the heir would soon rise to the throne.

(did you see where I posted I'd be reading back from the very beginning? while reading...I found a hidden story line i'd come up with that I can final put into play(: lol)
