"Yeah, I've been told that before," a shiver went down her spine as her eyes moved over to him, "Thanks anyway, you're pretty much the only guy, damn the only person that I don't think I have argued with to this date..." Freedom stood up, "And you're mask is amazing by the way; it took me ages to do but it does look greay now," she clapped her hands together, a smile appearing on her face.

I nod, turning and leaving without another word. Outside the inn I stop for a moment, wondering where to start. On intuition I head right down the street, to a small pub I knew Quill often hung out, having shared a drink or two with him before.

Quill: I sat at the bar, twirling the tankard in my fingers. I didn't like Tanner's latest plan to mess with Jacko. Kidnapping Lorenna was going a bit far, even for Tanner.

"The papers, Jacko. Who are we supposed to be?" Keith asked again. The papers were one of the most important things in this whole heist.

I spot quill instantly, walking silently behind him. Seating myself at the bar stool next to him I order my own drink, hoping to keep him relaxed. "So Quill. How have you been?" He was nervous, I could tell, I just wanted to see if I could get him to crack.

Jacko: I pick up the papers and hand his to him. "You are Lord Trevor of Swanscove." Swanscove was a small family of little importance because they almost never left their estate in the south.

Quill: I glanced sidelong at Jon. "Fine," I said into my drink. "You?"

Keith took his paper, Lord Trevor, the name sounded like it should be a frogs name. He looked at Freedom, "No problem, and thanks for working so hard on my mask." he smiled.

Quill: I shook my head. "You know Tanner. Some convoluted scheme that only he sees the end goal of." I took a swig of my ale. What Tanner was doing now was going a bit far. He had told about how someone carved his initial into Lorenna's stomach to show that he owned her. I had helped him investigate who had done that.
One of Tanner's men, Liam, had done it 'as a gift for Tanner'.
After that, there was no question that Lorenna was scared shitless of Tanner.

Keith mulled it over in his head, he had his story, it would be a mere coincidence, the family never left the estate, how would they know. Perfect.

"Of course." I say, tracing a finger around the rim of my drink. I decide to dive right in. "It doesn't have to do with Lorenna? Does it?" I flash a quick smile, not my friendliest. "Because I must say, he seemed quite pissed earlier today."

Keith new he could dance, but learning the ones that would be at this ball would be a little more challenging. Either way, he had a job, and he needed to get on it.

Jacko: I sat back down on the couch. "I am not looking forward to this," I said quietly. I usually stayed at the inn while my people went out and did their jobs.

Quill: I took a swig of ale. "The usual," I said evasively. "Brooding about Jacko and Lorenna. Plotting mostly." I stared down at the counter, unable to make eye contact.

"Of course Quill." I say, standing, "Wouldn't want you to get into any trouble now would I?" I put down a few coins, enough to pay for both our drinks. I pat him on the back solidly. "I'll just go ask Tanner then." The man was scary, sure, but I was never actually afraid of him, hadn't been afraid of anybody in a long time.
