Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I strolled to the Cafeteiria(sp?) taking my time. I had four extra minutes before the mob came through, the peace and quiet was a nice change. I clutched my Tome closer and sighed savouring the sweet silence but started humming quickly before a vision could take over.
I was almost to the caf when I saw a girl, she seemed a bit familliar but I couldn't place her.

(try to make the post as long as possible.. it's a rp so they get picky bout the leangths believe me...)
Molly: I grabbed the tray and let the meal ladies dish out the usual slop, gross on a bun for today. I took it to my small table, which I usually shared with Jane and waited. I didn't know what for, but I knew it was for something.

Sapphire: I sat down in the hallway. And held my head in my hands and it went blurry and then it cleared. I was in a huge burning building and the walls were falling down. I shivered and screamed.

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Amara walked to the cafeteria. Lunch was always a very loud time, the dull roar of a hundred conversations filled the room. She didn't bother going through the lunch-line, she'd brought her own lunch today. For, you see, today was "Mystery-Meat Day." "Mystery-Meat" was a substance so vile, it was inedible. Yet, the lunch-ladies served it anyway.
Amara slid into a table, not really paying attention to where she sat. She glanced around the table quickly, seeing who she had sat by. She saw one girl, a Silent One. Amara nodded a hello, then opened her lunch bag.
Pulling out an apple, she spared a quick thought to the vision she had had that morning. Lunch was a safe time to do that, it was too loud for any Silence. Amara, for whatever reason, saw the past in her visions. She always hoped that, eventually, she might see something about how Silent Ones came to be.

{I had a question earlier...I was wondering: What does a Silent One do during a test or something in class when there's suppose to be dead silence?}

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Silver nodded at the girl but was too busy conversing with her older brother, biting her pierced lip. With a sigh, she took out her sketch pad; the one identical to her Tome. She took out her pen and started to draw, randomly, not knowing whether or not it was gonna do as it was told.
Styler watched his sister draw on the pad; her detail was amazing and the fact that she did this while blind? He'd never know the truth.
"Silver, be careful what you draw," he made his tone obvious that she was drawing the girl that just sat down next to her.
"Brother, it is fine. I'm sure Amara doesn't mind," her voice was like woven silk, flowing off the end of her tongue.

(Hm...
I think if they concentrate really hard on something, like their answer to the next test question, that's enough to hold the visions at bay. It gets to be a bit exhausting, but it works fairly well.)

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
(Ahhh, interesting. Is it okay that Silver can just see like the outlines of people because she is a charrie of mine that I've made and her power over auras gives her the gift to see like the inside of people an parts that not everyone can see. Obviously auras wouln't work here but I'm gonna ask for the outline thing anyway as it's slightly supernatural etc etc)

(Eh, sure. I've actually heard of people who were born blind that become super-sensitive to vibrations. The vibrations tell them where people are.)

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
(oh cool. Yeah, they have like improved senses so they can tell where people are via sound. Also they have like a little map in their heads of like a layout of a room so that they can get around. My brother used to know a blind girl and he used to have to tell her that a table had been moved. He also accidently asked if she would like the lights turned on without releasing. I'd love to know a blind person.)

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I pushed the vile ick on a bun around my plate. I frowned, I wouldn't be eating today. I didn't mind that much, as long as I had a large lunch.
I saw the girl across from me eating, she brought a lunch.
"Can I have an apple please? All I have is.... this.. uh.. what would you call this?" I asked completely lost for words about the grossness.

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Amara nodded and tossed an apple to Molly. It was a lucky thing her mother always packed two. "In answer to your second question," she said, "I honestly have no idea. Slop? Inedible glob? Glop that could choke a horse?" She shrugged. Why the cooks fed... whatever it was to children, she had no idea.

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I tried to stab the ick on a bun with my plastic fork only to have it bounce off. I shuddered and pushed the tray further away. "I think they're trying to enforce the 'survival of the fittest' thing... or kill us off..." I shuddered at the thought of taco tuesday.
Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Styler laughed at the girl, "Yeah, but if you want some half decent food you need to get on Ms Parker's good side. Do that and she'll give you the best tacos they have," he smiled as he offered his advice.
"And I'm vegetarian so I don't get mystery meat, or raccoon meat, instead I get a pasta salad," she shrugged, nodding at her brother, "But either way to get good food you need to volunteer to do some kitchen duty stuff to get on her good side, then slowly work your way up. And if you can bake, that's a bonus too."

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I thought about it tossing it around my head. "Do I get to skip health class? Cause I'd do this instead of that any day." I shuddered again. Jane wasn't in that class with me and I get ridiculed if I write anything down even if it's in my Tome.
Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Styler and Silver's laughs matched, they smiled at each other as a few people stared, obviously frightened of the fact they were freakily alike.
"Depends if that's your class before lunch," Silver shrugged, slamming her sketchpad, "Sometimes they do the lesson after, depending if you're a pot washer or a server or what. It depends on the job you're doing that day."
"Why do you wanna skip health class? Is it because of the sexual education going on at the moment? Seriously, a condom on a banana, they think that'll teach us? All that wil' do is put us off of our five-a-day..." he grumbled as a few others laughed at hos remark.

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I raised an eyebrow. "Slightly, I don't have my talker in that class to keep the visions away so everyone makes fun of me when I draw and write in my tome.. They think I'm taking notes." I explain blushing a bit. They were cool kids.
Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
(Cool kids? Awww man!)
Silver clicked her tongue as Styler winked, "Well, in the kitchen there's awaus noise, never a dull moment. Plus, if you're a pot washer you can bang a few things and you're away. The only downside is the fact that it makes you're hands all wrinkly and disgusting," she explained, opening her pasta pot.
"But to be honest we worked in the kitchens for less than a week and we're set for life with the food. Occassionally we help out, just to keep them sweet, y'know?" Styler laughed as he bit into his bit of gammon, "Racoon or gammon? I know what I'd rather have."

Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Molly: I giggled then checked my hand, I always had notes on it. Make lunch. I knew it. I frowned and crossed it out with my handy dandy pocket pen. "I don't mind washing things, I'm the designated plate washer in my house." I explain.
Re: The Tomes of Truth (C.C.)
Amara finished off her apple. She nodded slowly, Silver and Styler did have a point. But, of course, she couldn't afford lunch anyways. So there was no point in trying to get on the cooks' good side. She pulled out her Tome and opened it to that morning's vision. She figured that here in the incredibly noisy lunchroom would be the safest place to look at it.
She read through the brief sentences and studied her drawing. They caused the memory to come surging back. It was awful. Fire, falling, landing in a heap of twisted metal. Poor Amelia, she never had a chance.
