Artist's Retreat

Tucked away from civilization a large cabin sits in the middle of a green clearing and a babbling brook. Here is the artists retreat, where writers painters illustrators and musicians alike go to help develop their ideas and themselves. Away from the everyday distractions of life they can focus on their art and art alone. All supplies and amenities are given so you have nothing to worry about. Interactions with others guest is up to you, but encouraged to learn of others works. Each bedroom is separate with enough room to do the art of your choosing.

looks: shaggy curly brown hair, honey eyes, wide smile. About 6ft and lean build. Usually covered in paint and ink, well fitted jeans, flip flops and plain tees. on nice days maybe a vest or jacket. a few tattoos including a knight chess piece on his forearm, and hummingbird on his shoulder
personality: laid back and cheerful. quiet and easy to talk to
background: lived in the city but found it too busy and noisy. came here to get away from it all

background: came at the urging of his brother, so that he would improve his natural skills

Name: Anala-Jo Marks, or Aj
Age: 19-20
Art(s): painting/drawing
looks: straight black hair that she puts into a different hair style every day; 5'7''; dark, unreadable brown eyes. she doesn't show a real smile all that much. She's really into layering her clothes and likes putting things together that she finds at random vintage shops or just whenever. Usually looks like she's tired.
personality: people think she's the typical moody, brooding artist, assuming she is depressed since she's not exactly the most friendly type. She lets out all her emotions into painting mostly. She cranks up the music and just lets it flow. But she can be calm too. Going out in early in the morning down by the brook to sketch or something.
background: Aj's mom is a lawyer and her dad is a judge back in the city. They're both really strict and very 'crisp', as she calls them, clean cut. She mostly got them to let her go on the retreat because she stated a good enough case. Aj's just glad she got out from under their eagle eyes. She doesn't think she has enough freedom back there.

looks:Long (mid-back) natural blond curly and frizzy hair usually worn up in a pony tail with a head band, curvy, short(5"),emerald eyes that are framed by green rectangular bottomless glasses, Long lashes that almost never wear mascara, full lips that curve up at the corners that almost always wear a sparkly pink lip gloss, always has a strange pattern with nail polish on nails, tons of scribbles on hands or paint but they are always grafitied, wears jeans everyday with colorful tops which sometimes have graphics.
personality:Shy to new people, craves attention but when she gets it she is way shy and a bit uncomfortable or glowing with happiness, outgoing, Loud, annoying at times, funny, flirty, super stubborn
background: Penny had always loved art when she heard of this place she begged her parents for some extra cash. She worked for the rest by odd jobs here and there. Finnaly she raised enough to stay for a few weeks.

She loves animals and prefers to sketch black and white drawings. Mainly a writer.

Penny: I set my bags on the bed in my room. Perfect. I ran a hand through my messy hair and took a deep breath. Planes can be so annoying!

Jac: "Come on Jon, this will be good for you." I tell him, carrying his guitars for him as we go up the stair to his room. He holds his keyboard, and goes carefully up the steps with a chorus of "yeah yeah yeah" coming from his lips. I roll my eyes, he was always a stubborn ass, but I could con him into anything

Name: Lauren Michelle
Age: 18
Art(s): Drawing (never taken an art class), Can I use dance, cause I am going to. She also writes but no one knows.
Appearance Long wavy brown hair (she usually straightens it). Dark brown eyes, light makeup. She is 6'0 even, and has fat and muscle. Huge calves, and shoulders. She wears shorts and t-shirts, or shorts, tanktops and cardigans always wears rainbow flip flops. She considers her style a surfer style
Background: Has a father in the mafia, and a mother and a sister. She has never taken an art class, but has obvious talent. She is an outcast at home, and feared because of her father. She doesn't talk about her father, because people tend to stray away from her. Drawing and dance are her freedoms, the place she can truly express her self.
Other: She has never had an art class, but is really good at shading, and can make people look so realistic. She has been dancing since she was three. She hates spiders and has a HUGE fear of falling. And likes Celtic Music, but will listen to anything. She plays flute and guitar in her free time, writing her own music.

Aj: I drum my fingers on my knee, sitting up with perfect posture as I sit across from my mother. She stares out the window at the forest through her designer glasses. Why did she have to come with? I wish she'd just stayed at home. My mom - or Claire, as she urges me to call her - clears her throat, not moving an inch.
"Please stop. That's annoying me, Anala."
I clench my hand into a fist, narrowing my eyes fractionally. "Sorry," I manage smoothly. She just keeps staring out the window. I can't wait till I get to the cabin. I really need this.
