Damian looked at her, and said so coldly even Keith felt a temperature drop. "You're just like everyone else. As soon as things get bad you just leave." He caughed.

"Damo, lets go." Keith said helping him up.

"I let my guard down, Keith." Damian cried, from physical pain and emotional pain.

Carissa: I didn't know what to say to him. I turned around and just shook my head, until I erupted, my accent shining through like a sore thumb. "You know what you are! You're just like all of the rest! You run around like a big tough guy! But you're not! You are dying on the inside! I can see it, Damian!" I said his name with thick sarcasm. "I guess you're just going to stand there and take what I'm saying aren't you? You know why? 'Cause you're weak and can't fight your own battles. So, you have to call up your little friend here and let him take half the weight for you. You're pathetic..." I turned on my heels and started to storm out of the alley when all of a sudden a cop came rushing around the corner. He pointed a gun at me and yelled, "Freeze!" He walked me back against the wall with Damian and Keith.

Damian stood up, he boiled with anger. He could care less about the cop he rather die. "I have fought more battles than you will ever know. I never asked for him to come. Who cares if I am dying. The city wouldn't you wouldn't. God the world would be glad if another Irishman was dead. If i was dead."

"Damo, shut up." Keith said.

Damian glared at Keith. "I have never acted like a tough guy. I accept I am weak, and hurt. But your to thick to see that." He dropped his red shirt, and held his hands out for the cop.

Carissa: The cop yelled at Damian. "Shut up! What's going on here? You know what, I don't care. I'm taking all of you in. But, I'm calling a doctor for you, Irish boy."
"Wait!" I protested. The cop put the shining metal cuffs around my wrists anyway. I shake my head, then kick my pointy toed boot out and ram it into Damian's leg with as much force as I could muster. "I think I fight a more serious battle then you do." I glared at him.

Damian fell, she had know idea what he had gone through. "Lets see how you handle prison." Damian glared, as he coughed when he got up.

Keith walked away with them. Trying to help Damian.

Damian scoffed, "That and other immagrants." he started coughing and sweating.

Keith was worried it had been a long time since he had seen Damian like this.

Carissa: "Hey, sir. What's your name?" I said to the cop.
"Buck. My name's Buck. What do you want?"
"My friend really needs to get to a hospital now. Can you take us there quickly?"
"Little lady. I think you should keep ypur mouth shut, alright? I'll get your "friend" to a hospital when I get you two nice and locked up. Okay?"
I looked at Damian meaningfully. If Damian would faint or something the cop would take him to a hospital pronto and that would give time for Keith and I to figure out an escape plan. I thought about kicking him again, but then decided I should let him do whatever he wanted.

I stumble slightly when Carissa rushes into Keith's arms, then wince at the sound of a cop's gruff voice barking orders for the others. I glance to my left to see the woman that was involved in the fight being roughly dragged away. Steam was practically rising out of her ears.

I felt distant, since everything had happened so fast. Somewhere along the way, she'd untangled from Keith's embrace and was now arguing with Damien in raised voices.

"Hell," Was all I mutter, rubbing my forehead with my palm. How did I get myself into this?

Damian coughed again, and staggard backwards, he was going to prove he was strong.

Keith looked at Cassanova. Damian looked pale, he was loosing a lot of blood.

"Do you know this young man?" The cop asks as he saunters over to me, gesturing lazily in Damian's direction.

"Aye," I respond. "We just met."

"Has he been involved in past fights?"

I nervously glance at Keith, not knowing what to say here. If I said maybe, he'd certainly take that the wrong way.

"Not that I know of, sir." I smother my fear to sound smooth, and it works. I've hid my emotions so many times before, I'm a pro. I look straight into his beady black eyes to show that I'm not afraid. Blinking and fidgeting are both signs of a liar, so I shove my hands in my pockets.

Damian looked at the cop then to Keith. Only he knew he had been in another fight in America. Only he knew this was the third man he killed.

Keith looked at the dreadfully pale and bleeding Damian. He caughed again. "He has never been in a fight before." Keith lied through his teeth, fully remembering the day he saved his sister.

A cold sweat started to come off of Damian's brow. He held his hand to his chest, out of all the times he had been shot they always put pressure on the wound so he did too.

"Why you sweating, boy? Nervous?" The cop get's up real close to Keith then, a smirk both glinting in his eyes and showing on his face.

"Leave him alone." I dig my nails into my palm, getting really frustrated. "Look, we're not trying to start anything. Your not starting anything. The lad's lookin' paler than a ghost; all we want is to get him into a hospital, alright?" I snap, my eyes flitting between the two of them.

By the looks of it, Damian wasn't doing well at all. If possible, he'd lost even more blood.

I sigh with relief when the cop finally withdraws his argument and motions for a few of the bystanders to help him with Damian.

"He'll hang in there." I murmur to Keith, meeting his pain stricken eyes. I barely knew him, yet he made me feel safe. It was the wobbly beginnings of a friendship, yet I felt like I've known him forever. Like a song that you forget but don't remember until you hear it again.

Damian was hauled off, with a loud groan. The people had a hard time grasping him, since he was so sweaty.

"I know he'll pull through, he has been shot before, and never taken to a hospital." Keith replied. "Should we follow them? I would hate to just leave him alone."

Damian coughed, "I'll be fine, they probably wont..." Damian trailed off, as he passed out in their arms.

Carissa: "I'm following him. Sir, are you going to take us to jail or can we go to the hospital and make sure our friend is okay?" I gasped once in my fake cry and looked at the cop hopefully.

"Alright. But don't try any funny business... Got it!" The cop took us and started to pull us toward his cop car, he motioned for the people holding Damian to put him in the car.

"Yeah, let's get going." I respond, a chill shiver passing through me but not from the sudden nip in the air. Once the car pulls away, I let out the breath that I was apparently holding and sneak a peak at Keith to gauge his reaction to all this.
