There was already 2 voices talking, neither of them were mine. 1 was very familiar. It was my brother...

"Half my division is gone damn it I need some air support. Both the field commander and radien commander are dead, what's taking so long."
"We can't get airships close enough, the Americans set up air superiority to quickly. There's nothing we can do."
"Go to hell command there's plenty you can do. Send us reinforcements, I CAN'T LET MY MEN DIE LIKE THIS."
"Anthony if you are that concerned order a retreat, you are the current field commander, command out."

I finally caught a sight of Anthony, through my sniper. His base wasn't to far from the city we were in. He was shaking his head looking at a map, no one was there with him thought. Then I saw a glare from the top of the building, and immediately I ducked, without a doubt.
Sure enough another second passed and a hole punched through the wall right next to my head. "Snipers, do not fire on return city, we have that place to heavily guarded for enemies to appear there." A voice on the radio said. Then it continued to say, "You should announce yourselves when you enter a channel Jasmine."

"What do you plan to do?" I asked him.
"What do you think I can do. Drakes are to honorable to retreat, they'll deny every command to do such things."
"And command just told you to go die in a hole basically... What about D.E.T?"
"They're on the way but wont be here soon enough. Is Alice on this channel too?"

ALice: Tears formed in my eyes, "Oh god. HE's still out there!" I yelled, fear filling my entire voice. Alenia trembled, I think she could hear me. "Anthony i need to go out there and find him! He could be hurt or he could be...." My words got caught in my throat, I didnt', couldnt say it.

"Alice." I said, "We need to stay here like Anthony said... Anthony, please be careful and make sure he's safe..."

(Sorry me and my friends have been hanging out almost all week. I wouldn't have gone but one of them I really wanted to see, and then she ended up not going anyways Xp lol. I'll probably be here alot more Sunday.)

"But he's my brother!" I said, tears thick in my voice. They rolled down my cheeks silently, for Alenia's sake.

"Alice?" a voice said suddenly on the channel.

"Deckland, where the hell are you!?!" I yelled, relief washing through me. Alenia looked up at me, curious as to what was going on.

He sighed, "Maybe a mile away? Not sure really. Just walked until I couldn't anymore. I remembered I had the com-link and...yeah." I wanted to punch him then hug him tightly.

"Shut up Anthony, deck why'd you leave." my voice had so much excitement in it and I was so relieved and happy to hear his voice and know he was okay.

"Look, never mind 'bout that. WHere are you guys?" his voice was frantic. I knew something was wrong. "Deckland...what happened?" It sounded as if his voice was staring to say something but the sounds of gunshots rang in my ears. Deckland's voice didn't come through. "DECKLAND?!" I cried, eyes wide.

"Damn it, Jasmine get to the house now. Squad 4 secure that house no one leaves or comes within sight distance until I'm back. Squad 12 on me those shots were just traced to sector 7." Anthony was rushing as he spoke. "Blue bird 1 lead your squad to that area and see what visuals you can get."

I thought about that, I gasped and quickly began to run for one of the corners to the parking garage... I knew where sector 7 was, and it nearly made me cry as I ran over there.

Alice: My eyes were wide and a lump was in my throat. Everything went silent after that and there was a crash from outside, about a few miles away. I grabbed my gun and held Alenia close to me as she cried. For once, I cried too. I pulled away my wristband and looked at the small words that had been tattooed onto my skin long ago. With these broken wings on my back, I fall off the edge, hoping that one day..my wings will catch the wind. Deckland had the finishing words on his wrist, so we always knew that no matter what, we wouldn't get separated...that we'd always have each others backs. Now, I didn't now if I'd ever see my brother again.

"Uh, field command, do you copy?" Said the voice called blue bird 1.
"Anthony here, what's going on?" Anthony replied.
"Uhm, field command we have numerous tangos confirmed in sector 7. We have no strobes and no conformation if they are friendly or not."
"Can you make anything out yet? I'm on my way to sector 7 now."
"Uh... Negat..." His voice became extremely sharp. "Cross-fire, cross-fire! Strobes coming in from sector 8, I say one more time strobes from sector 8. 2 down, 3 down, 4, 5. Strobes are under heavy fire but they're countering. Permission to open fire against tangos?"
"Negative we need all tangos confirmed we might have a friendly in there."

Deckland, grimacing, held the thick piece of his jacket firmly against his thigh. He had cut a piece off to prevent the bleeding. A guy had tried to sneak up on him; they both shot at each other. Deck got shot in the leg, the other in the chest. He could still hear the voices over the radio. He grabbed the com-link and said, "I was just shot at, tangos are rushing in. I don't know how long I can hold them off. One tried to sneak up on me. He's down but I was hit."

Alice: My eyes widened in relief and I nearly passed out from the relief that flooded me. "God-damn it Deck, scare us like that and I swear you're gonna wish you were killed!" I yelled into the com-link. He chuckled and I heard the sound of him reloading his gun. "How bad's the wound?" I asked firmly and I can hear the cockiness in his tone. It's gonna get him killed someday. "Pretty bad, went through my thigh. Hurt's like a bitch but I'll be fine. Don't worry about me. Just protect Alenia, Alice." Shots were fired and there were numerous cries. A reload and silence. I hoped he could pull this off.

"Blue bird 1 you have permission to smoke them, be careful of what your shooting though, DO NOT ENGAGE WITHOUT 100% ASSURANCE YOUR HITTING AMERICANS!"
"Blue bird 1 to flock, load them up we have permission to smoke em. Flock R.O.E Q1 F2. There could be a friendly mixed in there."
"Blue bird 2 rolling." Voices announced the same thing for 3-6, then finally blue bird 1 made another command. "Alright light the skies boys." 6 Choppers began to fire their machine guns toward the gun fire.

"Anthony, our guns are heating fast to suppress the gunfire. If we still around with heated guns we're at risk to be shot down, then it doesn't matter who we're targeting we could land right on your friendly."
"Blue bird. No risking the flock if your guns overheat get the hell out of here. Try to organize a flyby drop, precision only. We can see the combat now."
"Not yet you don't. You have approx 4 minutes to clear this place out before the Americans get about 50 reinforcements."
"Alright will do, try to prevent their approach blue bird, we'll handle this battle field. Jasmine, Alice can you 2 hear me?

"Alice I'm going to get Deck out of here 1 way or another, so don't be worried about that. I'll level this field if I have to, to get him out safely. Jasmine..." he paused. "There's a note for you in the armoury. I can't say this with Alice on the channel."

"ANTHONY!" I screamed stopping right outside the door.

"Jasmine!" His voice grew harsh. I already knew what the letter was, he wrote it to me once before. Thinking back further, he never wrote it... It was what our father wrote to him before the Russians attacked.
