Kody: i stare after Alaric as he leaves with Irvin. I can tell he's mad at me. and i hate it. i don't think i can stay here if he's going to be like this. But he wouldn't be if you just stayed, said a little voice in the back of my mind.
"Can you guys take care of yourselves for a bit? I have to go and do something," I say quietly.

Alaric : I look up at Irvin. He looks more worried about Kody's feeling than anything else. "Don't hurt yourself because we're hurt," I say to him, reaching up to kiss his forehead. He looks down at me, his blue eyes soft. "I don't want you to be sad but it always seems i can't help you..."
I frown.,"Thats not true," I say and wrap my arms around his neck. "Thats not true at all..." I whisper and close my eyes. The next thing i feel both shocks and pleases me. His lips were not soft and gentle as they once were. I guess thats what happens when you leave someone for too long.

Alaric : I ignored the kid and grabbed Irvin's hand, leading him up to the house again. "Irvin i want you to do something for me," I say in a rush.
He blinks at me confused. "What is that?"

Kody: I walk back into my apartment after leaving an annoying Gage at the park when i wasn't, and quote, 'helping enough'. as i'm going past my room, i see my giant panda plushie. i remember how mad Alaric seemed to be at me earlier. i walk up to the panda and pick it up, feeling my eyes sting. leaving was for the best. it has to be. but i still care about him; probably more than i should.
I take out a piece of paper and write a note for him.

Alaric,

I can tell you're not exactly happy with me now, and i'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving. I'm sorry that i can't make things how they used to be. And I'm sorry for hurting you so much.

I'm leaving Mr. Panda -- remember when you won him for me? I do -- with you for now. I promise that i'll come get him again someday. I just don't want you to forget about me. I know you probably want to forget about me right now, but i don't want to forget you.

Kody: i take the note and tuck it under the panda's arm before running out of my apartment. When i get to Alaric's, the doorman smiles and greets me like he always does when he's on duty.
"Ms. Lassiter,"
"I need you to give this to Alaric," i say quickly.
"He's in, if you want to give it to him yourself." he says kindly. i shake my head.
"No, i..i can't. just..just give it to him for me. please," I hand him the panda and start walking off back out.
