He knew what a baby was...that meant he knew things, he thought, but he just didn't know anything about the world.
"S-so...w-we're machines...? We're robots?" his voice cracked.

Well, other than the 'brain damage' there's nothing missing really, Although he is a prototype of sorts. So I was thinking of giving him more of a 'soul' than an android would have...Giving him 'emotions' and leading him to desire to be human.
Is there any chip that makes an android do as they're told or some limitating device like that?

Yep, from point A to point B.
I've even got two more books in the boiling pot, but they're not as 'complete' as the first...and I gots to wait until the first is done in order to see if anyone wants more X)

sorry the reason i asked that last question is because i have scenes in my head and i know the ending to my first book but i can't seem to fit everything together in perfect order. Its what makes me think i can't be an author because i can't organize my writing in that way.

For me it was both. I told people I had a story in my head, then they pressured me to write a prologue, I did, gave it to them, and they liked it. That prompted me to write more, and before I knew it, I got a small fanbase.
But what I write is all mine, it's me in every detail, the scenes are what I like and what I think is best, the story is my own.
So in a way, I write for meself, but other people make me write.

I started the same way gaby, Lots of ideas but nothing to tie them together, and do you know what I did? At that point I asked, "what's the point?" What was it that I wanted to say with my story? In other words, what did I want to make other people feel? What kind of closure did I want people to feel at the end? What kinds of trials did I want the characters to endure through the story?

Questions like those helped me make strings to tie everything together and put them in their right place.

like...i know i'm writing this for the generation to come. the one =that i hope= won't be surprised to hear about multicultural groups of friends or gay and lesbian parents. i want to write it for the (and you may laugh at this but i am very much serious when i say this ) secret prude, the cheater, the shy child, the happy child with secrets, the person who longs for something with all their heart. kinda to show that there is a place for them and if someone could make it through life how they want to be they can to.

hopefully ill be able to write it all though..ive never finished a novel ever but if i can just finish one i would want it to be tuek byoel han

...I'm sorry for your loss, Gaby. That's a wonderful thing to aim for...and that will help immensly when you want to organize your events for your story. I think, at this point, you should be thinking 'how can the events I've created, along with the characters involved, help portray my message? Or have the reader understand the character and the plot in a way that points to your final message?"

Here's an example: John, right? A warrior android that wishes to be human one day.
What can I say with him? I can use John to show people the extent of humanity, the value of a soul.
An innocent boy, built for war and destruction, strives for a life where he feels loved and wanted.
I can show people the true value of love with him. Show them, through John's eyes, what it is that makes love truely wonderful.

nyu its okay..the person im writing this for isnt dead...hes just...not who he use to be...i always call him...the lost prince. its a long story but if it wasn't for him i wouldn't have this story and i wouldn't want to write. i kinda feel that since he can't ever come back that if i write this book...that at lest Mi-sun and Dorian won't be separated the way he and i were which i guess is a very selfish reason to write huh?..

and i understand. i guess the whole point of my charries and what they can do is also to show why even a good thing can be bad and how we can't just assume someone has it better off.
Like i have one character named Ariel. He can't feel pain so he can pretty much force himself to do anything but not being able to feel pain makes it so that he can get hurt more severely, also hes a naturally always under the weather, which worries his boyfriend Hydro the most. but hes that one person you know thats always smiling despite hurting. Its just he can't hurt...gah i think that was confusing.

It wasn't confusing. The guy can't feel physical pain but he hurts a lot more on the inside. It's a tragic paradox...and people like that always make me want to try and make them feel better v.v

You can be a great writer, gaby. I know you can. You just have to learn, like everyone else .
