Re: X-Men character chat
A small girl sat on the curb outside the school, sobbing softly. Her parents had just left her here. Left her. Drove here, shoved her out of the car, and drove away. She was now sitting there, crying up a storm; literally. As she cried, dark clouds formed. As her sobs intensified, the clouds became darker and heavier.

Sapphire: I looked up from where I was in my tree. I had been avoiding getting in prison for my whole life. I changed to a bird and lept off the tree. I didnt see the girl and guy until i had landed and turned into a large eagle.

The girl brought her knees up to her forehead and let the tears spill over. The clouds grew heavier and it started to rain. It was as if the clouds were crying with her. Soon, it was pouring rain. The girl should have been completely soaked in water, but she wasn't. She was perfectly dry.

Re: X-Men character chat
Scarlett sighed, the rain was never something that she liked; she preferred the presence of fog in the morning. With a sigh, she opened the big doors; she still needed fresh air, the old changing rooms out back stank to high Heaven, she wanted freedom and she came here, why you say? Because there's stupid people that say that she can't use them. She flipped her hood up, covering her face, she needed a smoke. Running under for some cover under a tree, she took out the pack, but misplaced her lighter.
"Shit," she mumbled under her breath, never something that she ever wanted to lose, "Where's Cole when you need him?" she was getting snappy.
With a sigh, she slumped down next to the tree, putting her guitar that was strapped to her her back around to her front, starting to play 'A-Hole' by Bowling for Soup, amazing lyrics, that's what she always loved in songs, plus amazing guitar riffs; that's the reason 'Teenagers' was such a successful song, the only one she liked from MCR.

Re: X-Men character chat
The girl's sobs softened as her tears ran dry. The rain receded to a light drizzle, the girl sat sniffling on the sidewalk. She clutched two mice close to her. They seemed to be the only ones who still cared about her. Her parents sure didn't. Anger bubbled up. Wind whipped violently around grounds.
A colorful tophat blew around a corner of the school. Hot on it's trail ran a man with an equally colorful suit. The girl saw him running and tumbling after the hat and couldn't help but smile. The wind died down and the man caught up with his hat. It placed it back on his head, rather crooked, and looked around the schoolyard. He raised an eyebrow when he saw the girl sitting on the curb. He walked towards her.
The girl looked up at him. He wasn't like a clown, exactly. His bright clothes contrasted his extremely pale skin, his hair was bright red-orange, and his eyes were an unnaturally bright and sparkling green; but he didn't have the air of a clown. He was more gentlemanly than slapstick-humorly.

The man sat down on the curb next to the girl. "Hello," he said, in a perfectly cheery voice, "I'm Tarrant. Who might you be?" His voice was soft and velvety. It made the girl feel safe.
"Amara," she said quietly, "My name's Amara."
Tarrant smiled a little. He looked at the two mice in Amara's lap. One was purest white and the other was deepest black. "Well, Amara," he said, "Those are two of the finest mice I have ever seen."
Amara smiled in pride and introduced her mice. "His name," she pointed to the white mouse, "is Sol. And her name," she pointed to the black mouse, "is Luna."
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sol and Luna," Tarrant said, and shook each mouse's right paw in turn. Amara let out a laugh.

Re: X-Men character chat
"Now that we're all acquainted," Tarrant said to Amara, "May I ask why you're sitting out on the curb all alone?"
Amara's face fell a little. She looked down at the ground, but told him the whole story. All the damage she had accidentally caused to so many people and places, how horrified her parents were of her, how they had lied about going on a family picnic and shoved her out of the car. Tears welled up again and the dark clouds started forming.
Tarrant pulled Amara into a one armed hug and tried to comfort her. She buried her face in his shoulder and cried again. It started to drizzle again. After a few moments, she had regained her composure and the rain stopped. Tarrant looked down at her. "How about we go inside? There's been such funny weather out here today."
Amara smiled a little and they both stood up. Tarrant towered over her by a good few feet. All the same, she grabbed his hand.

Re: X-Men character chat
Who was that? Scarlett's attentions were raised; that little girl was a super, one that had no idea how to control her powers, right? But who was the guy that looked like he came right out of Teletubbies? Dipstick would be a good name. With a sigh she put her pack back in her bum pocket and followed. Now, if she had useful powers then this would be easy, but copying and mind control was shit at the moment. She ran up behind, greatful that she new gymnastics and was almost entered for regionals, that was until they found out that she was acciedently manipulating them, ever since her whole life went downhill, she started smoking, her dad kicked her out of the house, literally, and then they found her; she'd prefer that she was her old self, the one that wasn't depressed with low self esteem; damn they ruined her life! That was why she wanted to leave, but unfortuantly she was now closely monitored by the big boys.

Tarrant looked back over his shoulder. There was a girl there he didn't recognise. He dropped Amara's hand and began walking backwards, his head tilted slightly, looking at the other girl. Her hair was black, red, and silver, her eyes were silver, and her skin was pale; not quite as pale as his own, but pale all the same. Her clothes matched her hair. He noticed with some surprise that she was following them. "Excuse me," he said, still walking backwards, "But, I don't believe we've met before."

Re: X-Men character chat
Scarlett cursed under her breath hoping that neither of the pair, especially the little girl, didn't have super hearing. With a gulp she looked at the guy, "Scarlett, don't bother with a surname nowadays..." she looked at him, "Tarrant, illutionist," her expression still stern as ever, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the circus, you blooming look like you belong there," I nodded at his technicoloured clothes and pale skin; and she thought that hers was pale now. She leant against the wall and blew her fringe back over her injured eye, something that she didn't want to talk about for a number of reasons, either way it was discoloured, not like the silver she had in the other eye. She looked to the little girl and back to him, raising a trimmed brow.

Re: X-Men character chat
Tarrant shrugged. "I live here, so why shouldn't I be here?" he said. Tarrant technically worked there. He'd assisted past X-Men out of tight spot or two, so Charles let him live there, as otherwise he would just be wandering around having no real home. Ocassionally, Tarrant taught a class. He hadn't taught for a while, though. The last time he did, he had made the students think that a massive group of villains had invaded the school. It had ended in the explosion of an entire building with Tarrant sitting on a desk in the middle of the wreckage laughing his head off. He was a good teacher, he just got carried away sometimes.
Amara looked at the girl, a little intimidated. Luna and Sol each perched on one of her shoulders, whiskers twitching.

(XD)
Scarlett nodded, "Yeah, I heard about that," my eyes still focused on him, "So, anyway, I've got combat next which for someone with a crappy power is utter hell when you're against a fire or an ice person, honestly, it's stupid and pointless. You'll find that out one day hun," I winked at the little girl, taking my phone out of of my little over bag, Juliet. With a sigh I pressed the red button to ignore her; I couldn't deal with an old mate that made the regionals and was now gloating every other day saying that I should be here and ending all her texts with a lol and a smiley face, making me want to crumble my phone up and eat it, but neither of my powers could do either so I'm stuck with my gymnastics and Tae Quon Do.

Re: X-Men character chat
(Hey, I said in his profile thing-y that you'd better be careful of him. Reason being: he causes explosions and uses illusions to mess with people's minds when he's bored. )
Tarrant closed one eye slightly and looked at Scarlett through the other. "Mind reader, huh?" he said quietly. He thought on her comment about Combat classes. "I could help you with that, you know," he said. If she asked why he would even want to help, he would give a truthful answer: he was bored.
Amara looked down at the ground. She didn't know exactly what Tarrant and Scarlett were talking about, but it sounded really scary.

Re: X-Men character chat
(Yes I read it, but she's in a bad mood and doesn't now that, eh?)
Scarlett nodded, "Yeah, well kinda. I can kinda manipulate people's thoughts, accidentley only though and they said that they'd help with that, at the moment it's as useless as ever," she sighed and twiddled with her fringe, "And unless you can give a good power I couldn't take your help. Martial arts aren't good enough anymore," her eyes searched to the little girl, "Hi there," she smiled, but didn't walk over, she'd run off or something; most kids were shit scared of her to say the least.

"Hi," Amara said timidly. Most of that conversation had made little sense to her. Mind reader? Illusionist? What was all that about?
Tarrant opened his mouth to say something, but the school bell ringing interrupted him. He stood up straighter and clasped his hands together. "I must be off," he said happily, "I have a class to teach." He smiled excitedly, and a tad bit evilly. Charles was finally giving him another chance to try his hand at teaching. He looked to Amara, "You can come and watch. Afterwards, we'll take you up to Charles and see what he says."

Scarlett raised an eyebrow, "I can take her, I need to visit Charles anyway," she sighed rolling my eyes, but ended up laughing slightly, "What class are you teaching? If you say combat I shall be rather annoyed to be honest..." her hair flapped in the wind as it suddenly picked up, Storm. With another sigh she looked up at the sky, "Looks like bad news."

Tarrant nodded, "Alright, you take her," and gently pushed Amara towards Scarlett. "And... what happens if I do say Combat?" he asked, a little tentatively.
Amara stumbled a little towards Scarlett. She looked around at the approaching ill weather. "What looks like bad news?" she asked softly.

Scarlett bit her lip, don't say it, don't say it, "Because you're a nut and last time you did someone almost got killed and then the next the day the school got blown up," shit. She quickly turned to Amara, "Basically there's something up with the main team. Storm can control the weather with emotions and stuff, plus more so if the weather's nice she's happy, if she's angry there's a storm and confusion, fog."

"Okay then," Tarrant said, "I won't say it." He paused a moment, pondering her comment about the last time he had taught. "Firstly, it wasn't the entire school that blew up, just that one building. And that student wasn't killed, just severely injured and emotionally scarred for life," he mumbled the last sentence, then smiled brightly and said, "See you in class, Scarlett." He gave a quick wave, then walked away.
Amara looked down at the ground. That sounded oddly like what her "tantrums" did. Only, hers never caused all out storms, just heavy rain.

"Figures... Anyway Amara, how long have you been outside for?" I opened the front door and sighed, there was already havoc, the kid saw Tarrant and had a nervous breakdown in the middle of the halls, his mates trying to help him stay calm, "Great," she mumbled to herself, "This is gonna be f-ing hilarious!"

"Outside?" Amara asked, she didn't quite understand what Scarlett meant. She figured it was how long had she been outside the school, but couldn't be certain.
Tarrant smiled at the kids who were hanging around the halls. "Don't be late for class," he told them all, his stern voice contradicting the half-smile. About half the kids rolled their eyes in exasperation. The other half looked truly worried. There were several mutters of things like, "He's not teaching, is he? What about what happened to building C last time he did? What about poor Ryan? I don't think he'll survive another class with Hightopp."
