Re: X-Men character chat
"You can't be serious," Tarrant said, incredulously, "They're just little kids!"
"And you're just a little brother," Harrison said coldly, "I killed you once," he gestured back to the pile of dust, "It'll be no problem to do it again."
Tarrant looked over at the dust pile. "Just out of curiousty: What in the world did you do to him?"
"This," Harrison said simply. In one swift motion, he pulled the black dagger from its scabbard and plunged it into Tarrant's side. He used the dagger to push Tarrant to the ground. He placed a foot on his chest and snarled, "The blood of an illusion is useless. I. Need. Yours." He gave the blade a sharp twist before tearing it out.
The wound burned as though it were full of acid. Tarrant's eyes clenched shut in pain and he very nearly growled, "Get off of me." His eyes snapped open and he shoved Harrison as hard as he could.
Harrison stumbled backwards and Tarrant stood up. What ensued was a battle of power. Each man lifted his right arm in front of himself, palm out. The entire amphitheater was filled with the tension of it and bristled with a sort of electric energy.
After a moment or so, though, Tarrant's hand began to shake. Cold sweat formed on his forehead. Harrison smirked, pulled his hand back a bit, then pushed out hard at the air.
Tarrant collapsed back against a wall. His breathing was heavy and labored. His skin, so pale it was almost translucent, had broken into a cold sweat. The flesh around the wound, though it was hidden by his jacket, was ashen, gray, and dead-looking. "Just... need... a moment... to rest," he panted softly.
Harrison walked up to him, that same evil smirk still on his face. He raised the dagger above his head, and said icily, "Rest in pieces."
"What is going on down there?!" a woman's angry voice thundered from the sky, "Are you boys fighting again?!"
"No, Mother," Harrison lied sweetly.
"Harry's turned into... some weird murderous vampire cannibal... He wants to... kill me... drink my blood... then kill two girls... from Earth," Tarrant said in a raspy voice, his breathing shallow and shaky.
The sky became tinted slightly gold and a woman, clothed in a flowing, pleated, silver dress, descended from it. The first thing she saw was Harrison, still holding the dagger aloft. "Malastair, what on Akra are you doing?" she questioned sharply.
"N- nothing," Harrison stammered quickly, trying to hide the blade, still silver with blood, behind his back.
Then the woman saw Tarrant. "Oh, my poor Roki!" she exclaimed, horrified, "What's happened to you?"
Tarrent opened his mouth to explain, but began coughing violently. He coughed up silver, slightly black, blood; which he promptly spat out.
The woman ran over and knelt beside him. She saw the blood on his side soaking through his clothes. She gently laid a hand on the wound. Her hand glowed light pink and she felt the wound close underneath Tarrant's jacket.

Scarlett just stood there in shock, what else could she do? She bit her lip, Mother? She looked better than hers any day, she wasn't a strict 'move it or lose it' kinda person unless she was boozed up and high. Her hand trailed to her face, the long mark there from her, now covered up with her fringe. She let out a whimper as it stung madly, has done ever since the accident with the faulty trampoline. That was half way to her ruin, the other half came a week later with the first meeting of Mr Xavier.
"What the cow?" her voice was meant to be stiff and solid, but it was weak and limp. Her hands shook slightly from the memories, harsh.
An image flashed infront of her face, the sight of the blood made her stomach churn slightly, she covered her mouth and ran to the corner, emptying her stomach on the floor, mainly from shock.

Amara resisted the urge to throw up, as well. She'd seen enough blood and gore to last her a lifetime, and just wanted to go home. Luna and Sol were still back in her room. They'd get lonely being there all by themselves.
The woman smiled a little. "Well, now the knife wound's all healed up. But you look half-dead, Roki."
"He's more than half-dead, actually," Harrison said matter-of-factually.
The woman stood up and went over to him. She said sternly, "I don't believe I asked your opinion, Malastair. Now, get up to Sky Palace. Your father will want to talk to you about all this."
"Yes, mother," Harrison grumbled. He slowly climbed the shaft of golden light that the woman had descended as it were a flight of stairs.

"Is that 'Sky Palace' heaven?" she pointed to the stairs, wiping her mouth with her hand, looking surprisingly well for someone who has just chucked chunks. She flicked her fringe back and shuffled up some courage, "Umm... Excuse me Mrs Tannat's mother," she hadn't said that phrase for years, "What's gonna happen to me and Amara? You see, we don't belong here, we belong on Earth..."

The woman thought a moment. "I suppose you could compare it to heaven," she said at length, "Also, please, call me Shakeena." She looked from Scarlett to Amara and back to Scarlett. "I suppose you do need a way to get back, don't you," she said slowly. She bit her lip, "I'm afraid Roki's the only one of us who's managed to find a way." She looked to Tarrant.

"Thanks...Shakenna," she nodded and looked to Tarrant, "So, Roki," she bit her lip to stop herself from laughing, "Could you show us the way?" she looked at him and giggled slightly, glad that she had a little drama training to keep a straight face.

"Please don't call me that," Tarrant pleaded, exasperated. He, along with a handful of other younger gods, had chosen to shun their "Godly" names and choose mortal names. Their parents, however, refused to acknowledge that. He stood up. "In theory," Tarrant said, a little weakly, "Getting you home is as easy as folding a map so two places that are far apart are right next to each other. In practice, it's a bit more difficult."

Re: X-Men character chat
"Because we have a vacuum inbetween? Probably that would be the hard bit..." she bit her lip and sighed, looking at her watch, "And if I could go back in time then that would be good, otherwise I'll be called a coward for not showing up for my 'beating'," she rolled her eyes and looked at Amara, "But it's late you! You need to get to bed!" she raised an eyebrow, feeling a little bit like her mother...shit.

Amara looked down at the ground. "It's not my fault," she mumbled, "One minute, I'm sleeping. And the next thing I know, I'm out in the woods."
"Well, again theoretically, it's possible to fold space in a way that allows you to arrive at your destination before you left. But that is extremely difficult. Plus, I'm tired, half of me is dead, and good ol' illusion-me forgot to put food in the janitor's closet. It's been years since I've had a decent meal. So let's just focus on getting back to Earth," Tarrant said tiredly.
He placed a hand against the wall and pushed, his eyes closed in concentration. The wall rippled slightly, then part of it formed a door. "Come on, hurry up, women and children first," Tarrant said.
The crowd, which had fallen silent, began to get restless. Shakeena slowly waved a good-bye at the three, then turned and tried to keep the crowd calm and under control.

Re: X-Men character chat
sorry i have been neglecting the thread
Scarlett just nodded, pushing Amara through the door telling her the importance of sleep. As she yawned herself she looked back at Tarrant/Roki, a smile brimming to her face; he was alright, powerful but alright... But he needed to get a new hat.

Shakeena thought quickly of a way to explain that whole murderous episode away. "Good people of Akra," she began gently, "What you witnessed was a warning to you all. If you disobey the wishes of Nirvano - or, in fact, any other of the gods - the consequences will be great. If one god could do want you just saw to another god, just imagine what one could do to a mortal Akran or, daresay, a mortal of any species."
Tarrant didn't stay to hear the rest of her speech. He followed Scarlett and Amara through the door. It closed and disappeared behind him.
Almost as soon as the door had disappeared, the three found themselves back in the forest surrounding the school.
(I have to go now...
I have play auditions to go to. I'll try to be back on later.)

"Freaky unntural ant man!" shouted, kicking a tree and pulling a ciagrette out of her pocket with a sigh. Lighting it up, she blew the smoke into Tarrant's face purposely; getting knarked off with him was easy, all she had to do was hang around him a minute before you start cussing and slitting your wrist. Looking at Amara, she felt slightly ashamed by it, but it couldn't be helped, "Up to bed Amara," she nodded at her as smoke blew from out of her mouth, directing it away from the girl and towards the tophat.

Tarrant looked at the two girls. His eyes, which had turned silver when he created the door to Earth, returned to a very dull green. "Could I ask you both your names?" he said.
The wind blew the trees, causing the branches to lift and reveal the dark, velvety night sky. Virtually no time had passed since Scarlett and Amara left.

"Scarlett," she said simply looking at him, his eyes not exactly the same bright green; it had lost it's shine completely. With a chew of her lip, she checked the time, dumbstruck at what it read.
"You went back in time?!" a smile grew on her face as she ran over and flung her arms around Tarrant, "Thank you!"
She jumped up and down, unable to keep in the happiness; it all meant that she would get the poop beaten out of her, but at least she won't be crowned a coward!

"Amara," Amara said softly. The pine needles that covered the forest floor were poking into her feet.
Tarrant stood and let Scarlett do her happy-hug-squeal-jump thing. When she was done, he said dully, "Yes, yes I did. Glad to see that makes you happy." He glanced up at the darkening sky. "Well, it was very nice to meet you both, but it's late." He looked at Amara, "Time for little girls to be asleep." Amara yawned in response. Tarrant looked to Scarlett, "And I believe you said something about a scheduled beating. I'm assuming you don't want help so... Good luck with that. Good night, both of you." With that he turned and began walking back to the school, still limping slightly.

""I thought you blew half of it up?" she looked at him, "Anyway we need to get yoy to the nurse..." she ran over and slid his arm under her shoulder, helping him out, then with a quick idea, she copied his power, the familiar feeling of burning blazing her skin; it hurt more than most. Making a copy of herself, it took the otherside of him, "Don't worry, you're helping me make it even," she smiled as she told Amara to open the door to the school.

Amara obligingly opened the door. The cool hallway floor was a relief after the rough forest floor.
"Somehow," Tarrant said, stepping away from the two girls, "I seriously doubt the school nurse has ever even heard of a Zilo, let alone knows how to treat a bite from one."

"Care to explain to me then?" Scarlett looked at him, her eyelids fluttering slightly, "Anyway I thought it was something to do with the fact that you're kinda not human and you kinda just died back there..." she pointed back to the woods, opening the door to his classroom. With a sigh, she moved the stuff on his desk to give him room to sit down before making him do so.

"I suppose I could if you really want me to," Tarrant said, sitting on his desk. There really was no point in the desk chair. He'd never used it. And, seeing as it was, for the most part, himself, the illusion probably hadn't either. "And, it might have something to do with those two facts," he agreed. Akrans may have looked like humans on the outside, but that was where the resemblance stopped. There was also, of course, the small fact of being half-dead. Going to any sort of Earth nurse or doctor was probably a bad idea.
