She took Tsuki into her arms and rocked her gently, humming softly.

His hands gently clenched the sheets, the memories flashing faster. He could feel every bone being broken in his body.

Naruto smiled softly, watching his wife lovingly.

She pulled away, kissing his cheek, hugging him protectively, reminding him of the raven haired girl in pigtails who went to all lengths to protect him.

He clung to her, shaking and trembling in her arms like the scared boy he was.

Natsume fell to the ground with a loud yell, his cheek bleeding, his eye blackening and swelling. A small group of boys began to kick him, calling him a freak.

She softly began to sing to her as she slept.

''Hey! You leave him alone!'' a young but Lloyd voice yelled, as a tiny ravenette raced over, pulling the boys off.

Naruto went and wrapped his arms around her waist.

The young child looked up, tears running down his face as the boys ran off. "Wh-Who are you?" he whimpered, backing away. "D-Don't hurt me..."

She smiled at the feel of his arms, holding Tsuki close.

''Nani!?! I'm not going to hurt you!'' she exclaimed, crouching, ''Here, lemme help you up.'' she mumbled, putting her arm under his shoulder and his arm around her neck, pulling him up.

He smiled lovingly at his wife, kissing her cheek.

Natsume, hearing the voice clearly, looked at her with both swollen eyes. "M-Mitsuki-chan?" he questioned, tears sliding down. He cried out at the sensation.

She blushed and leaned gently against his embrace.

''Hai,'' she said softly, ''how bad is it this time? Can you walk?'' she asked softly still holding him up.

Naruto smiled softly, ''I love you,'' he said softly.

He winced and sniffled, "I think so," he whimpered. When he took a step, he felt something crack and he went down with a scream, crying in pain.

She nuzzled her little girl gently, holding her carefully.

Naruto held her, humming the time she'd been singing.

Ryou ran over eyes wide. "M-Mitsuki? What happened to him?" he yelled, worried for the boy who was like his brother.

She continued to sway gently.

Mitsuki smiled a thank you at him, "Come on, it's up this way,"" she said softly taking a step, supporting most of Natsume's weight.

He laughed softly, kissing her temple.

Natsume groaned in pain, weakly whispering their names in a hoarse and scared tone.

She blushed, smiling brightly.

She smiled at Tsuki, singing 'Blue Bird.'
