Braylen-- "You know what, guys?" They each gave me a matching glance that said 'What?' "I'm not going to go to this party thing with you, I have a massive headache." I turned around and began the long trek down the winding hallway back to my room. When I got back to my room, I saw this cute girl trying to get into the room next to mine, but failing.

I put the key into it's lock yet again, but the door refused to open. An angry spout of fire erupted from one of my hands, and I sighed. If it kept this up much longer I was going to forget the whole thing, and pick the lock.

Braylen-- Darkness crawled around the girls mind, but I put those thoughts at the back of my head. "Need help?" I asked, crossing my hands over my shirtless chest.

I jumped slightly at the sound of a deep voice behind me. I spun around,my face expressionless. "Um, yeah. Thanks,"

Braylen-- I rolled my eyes. "I haven't done anything yet." The girl narrowed her eyes at me. "Step back," I said. She complied, crossing her arms over her chest, her eyes remaining void of any emotion. I sensed the shadows in the parts of the lock that were always untouched by light and I took hold of them and moved them around the actual lock. It clicked, and the door swung open. "Your welcome."

I nodded, "Who are you?"

Braylen-- "Braylen Grey, and I live right here," I said tapping on the door next to hers, "if you have any questions. Or, you can come if you just want to chat."

[Ziva Chance]

I relaxed slightly, and offered my hand. "Aderes. Nice to meet you,"

Braylen-- "Nice to meet you," I said and shook her hand. "So, you're new here?"

[Ziva Chance]

"Yes. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to stay away, but these people just don't give up. I can't seem to shake the feeling that something here is wrong," I muttered.

Braylen-- "Everything here is wrong," I spat. "They don't let you leave, though." I grabbed her shoulders and shook her lightly. "You never should have come to this school. You're in so much danger." Her eyes narrowed and my hands dropped back down to my sides.

"Did I not make myself clear? I had no choice," I said, "but hey, what's new? I mean it's not like any of us have it easy,"

Braylen-- "Some of these people really actually do have it easy. They come from wealthy families that give them anything they ask for." I could feel my own darkness start to build up in my mind.

[Ziva Chance]

I watched his face as my new acquaintance's eyes darkened. In my experience, very few powers beat keen observation. "Hmmmm," I muttered, "If you have everything, then why willingly put yourself in danger?"

Braylen-- "Everybody thinks this school is good. That all the teachers here will teach them how to use their powers," I said, slamming my fist up against the wall. "They don't know sh*t." More darkness swirled around my mind and in my heart.

[Ziva Chance]

"Calm down," I muttered, "Maybe we can change their minds,"

Braylen-- "How can we change the minds of the whole student body?"

[Ziva Chance]

"I'm not quite sure yet... Are we the only ones who know this, or are their others?"

Braylen-- "There's four or five others. My friends, Styler and Falyn went to get help like a while ago. They should be coming back soon." I pressed my back up against the wall and slid down, so I was now sitting on the floor.

[Ziva Chance]

I sat down beside him. "We'd be unstopable if the rest of the students agreed," I said, thinking. There was a pause. "What are your powers?"

[Parallel_World]

Braylen-- "I can walk through and manipulate anybody's dreams and I can sense and manipulate darkness, even the darkness in people's minds and hearts. And when there's darkness around a persons thoughts, I can read those thoughts. What about you?"

[Ziva Chance]

I shuttered, and glanced up at his face. Shaking the feeling off, I said, "Fire, and shapeshifting into a tiger,"

Braylen-- "That's pretty cool." Noticing her shudders, I added, "Don't worry, I won't walk through your dreams." I smiled at her.

I could hardly stop the half smile on my lips. "Where are the others?"
