Naruto continued to hold her, not sure what to do. Half of him wanted to go back and light that motherfucking puppet on fire and turn him to ash then piss on the remnants while the other half of him just wanted to take his wife home and make sure she was never hurt again.

She flinched, slamming her eyes shut as her body tensed.

Ino came over with the machine and rolled Ashura's shirt up gently, just enough to show her stomach.
"Everything's going to be okay," she assured.

Her eyes were shut tightly as her whole body tensed up.

She moved the handheld machine gently across her stomach, watching the screen. She winced her eyes a little to get a better look. She paused it and pointed her finger at a white spot. "Watch that carefully," she murmured and played it again. The white spot faded in and out like a heartbeat would.
