Nite sighed, already feeling his aura becoming overwhelming, "I'm not asking you to be cool with this. I just want you to calm down so you don't hurt yourself!"

Naruto frowned, seeing the fear in her eyes and hugged her tightly, "Sakura....." he said softly.

She blinked slowly, letting out a shuddering breath.

He shrugged her hand off of his arm, growling with each breath he took. "You shouldn't be worried about me hurting myself," he spoke lowly, sharingan glaring into her eyes.

He held her lightly, rubbing her shoulders, "It's okay, I promise."

Nite's gaze bored back into his sharingan firmly as she activated her own curse mark, "I will defend myself this time Sasuke. You don't frighten me."

He blinked a few times, anger pulsing in his whole body. "You think...You think I'm going to hurt you?" Now he was pissed. She should know by now he wouldn't dare do it.

She trembled and returned her gaze back to where Hinata once was.

Nite met his gaze, "I never said that. But you're unpredictable when you lose your temper," her voice was calm.

Naruto held her reassuringly, rubbing her shoulder.

"I wanna go home," she whimpered, her face twisting in sadness as the tears spilled silently. "But first...I...I wanna see my parents," she whispered.

Nite's eyes were wide, "You think I'm cheating on you?!" she asked incredulously, "I told you: it's been eighteen years! There was nothing going on in the first place! It was just a mission."

Naruto nodded, leading her towards where the Haruno's lived gently.

Except no one was living there anymore. She headed towards the graveyard, the way to her old home was merely a shortcut.

Naruto sighed, reading the two gravestones.

She closed her eyes, remembering the day of their funeral.

Konoha was beautiful this time of year. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, the breeze was soft and gentle, the sky was a bright blue and the weather was perfect; not too cold yet not too hot. The grass was as green as it could get and the people were in high spirits…for the most part.

A certain pink haired kunoichi stood in front of not one but two gravestones. Tears tricked down her unusually pale cheeks. Her hands were folded in front of her chest in a known prayer, her lips just barely touching the skin on her knuckles. The wind made her hair, which now touched the bottom of her shoulder blades, blow behind her along with the hem of her light tan coat.

"Sakura-Chan?"

The ninja turned to see her best friend, her partner, her secret love, standing before her with sad cerulean blue eyes that saw deep into her soul. She noticed the way he dressed; more formal, more respectable. He wore black jeans, a white button up shirt, black shoes, and a small smile that seemed to be marred with pain; pain for the loss his crush was feeling. He stepped towards her until he stood in front of her. Their close proximity didn't even cross their minds. Sakura's mind was engulfed in the grief and agony that she tried so hard to hold back. His mind however was focused on only one goal; making Sakura-Chan smile once again.

"Gomenasai, Naruto. I…" she trailed off as her head bowed. Tears were staining her cheeks. Fingers tenderly touched her chin and made her look him in the eye. His face was painted with worry.

"I got back from my mission a few hours ago. I was looking for you and asked Kakashi-sensei…he told me what happened…" his eyes softened and his hand caressed her cheek. "I'm so sorry Sakura…and I understand what you're going through. Believe me," his eyes glistened as tears stood in his eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Haruno had accepted him for who he was after the numerous times he had saved their daughter; occasionally they treated him like he was their own.

Sakura turned her back on him, facing the tombstones of her mother and father. "They're really gone, aren't they?" she whispered. Naruto's hand wrapped around hers and squeezed a little. She looked up to meet her eyes with his. She didn't pull his hand away, in fact, she squeezed his too before leaning into him. His hand let go of hers before touching her shoulder and holding her close in a one arm embrace. Her head rested on his shoulder as she sniffled.

"I'm really sorry, Sakura…"

That's when it hit her. Just by the sound of his voice, the pain, the suffering, the grief; it attacked her all at once. As she collapsed into his arms, breaking down piece by piece, the numbing shock of their death disappeared. She let out a sob, burying her face into his solid chest. His hand rubbed in between her shoulder blades while the other cupped the back of her head as she mourned over the death of her parents.

She fell to her knees, hugging herself as she began to cry.

He gripped her wrist and pulled her into him, staring deeply into her eyes.

Naruto held her gently just as he had that day, just letting her cry.

She met his gaze with her own calmly, not afraid or skiddish. Just calm.

Suddenly, his lips claimed hers in a heated and possessive kiss.

He pulled away and growled against her lips. "If I see him touch you again, I don't know what I'll do." His voice was serious. It was taking all of his willpower to not go back into that club and rip the guy's throat out for hitting her.

She opened her eyes and just stared at the gravestones, becoming silent.

She nodded, "Understood," she said, already having a feeling that tonight wasn't the last they'd see of him.

He held her staring at the stone.

She sniffled. "Do you think they'd be proud of me...?"

Naruto nodded, "Of course I do. I know they'd be proud of you."

He pulled away, glaring as he saw that guy coming towards them.

She looked up at him and smiled.

Nite sighed hearing the growl, turning around and looking at the guy, "Can you please just go?"

"B-but I-how can I-" A soft growl left her as she began to summon her Orichi form just to intimidate him.

"Go before you get hurt," she warned, eyes tinging on yellow as she saw his eyes wide with fear as they reeled backwards.

"What are you two?" He asked, looking between the two.

She smiled faintly and looked to the gravestones again.

The guy fell backwards over a barrel crawling backwards, "You guys are a couple of freaks!" He cried, running into the night.

He sighed softly looking at the gravestones as well.

Sasuke let out a chuckle. "Is he new to Konoha?" he questioned, that growl in his voice still.

She nuzzled his shoulder. "Can we go home now?"
