Ichigo smiled softly, a twinkle in his eyes, "You're gonna be a mommy," he told her happily.

Silence lengthened in the hospital room. Tears filled her eyes as she pulled her hand away. She let out a breath, as if she was going to say something, but no words wore spoken.

He smiled against her lips, lifting her a little more.

Ichigo frowned, "Orihime, is everything alright?" he asked worriedly. Had he said the wrong thing? Was she not happy they were having a kid.

She meekly hooked her thigh around his hips so that she could stay up easier, a bit cautious this time.
