We find ourselves in a large room. There's a large table in the center with people seated around it. Humans on one side, Ancients on the other. It seems to be an important meeting.

Grantz is seated to Ancient Council Member Sentius Vox, a Sun Ancient. He glances around the room and whispers into Sentius' ear, "May I please massacre these insolent whelps?" Sentius scoffs at the suggestion and begins to speak
"Humans, Ancients, we are gathered here to discuss a great concern. Your pesky sorcerer, the one named... It is not important what he is named but what he has done. He has killed Vetel, a fellow council member, and a sincere friend of mine. Do any of you object to the action?" he asks.

No one answers so Sentius continues. "I believe an equivalent exchange must be upheld a high ranking official must be put to death."
Fen stands up, appalled. "That's preposterous! Vetel must have done something to provoke the sorcerer!"
Grantz growls at Fen, "Watch your tongue! We aren't a race who provokes human. We've been living for centuries! Sit back down!"
Fen sits down, obviously infuriated.

Deviana listened with a sigh, why must there be war? she thought, but what she said was more along the lines of, "Gentlemen, ovbiously there has been bloodshed, but an eye for an eye will make us all blind. I say that we find the human who killed Ventel and kill him as well."

Maxine looked to the ancients, pure hate in her eyes, "My best friend was murdered by one of you damned lunatic ancients..." She leaned back in her chair, flipping her dagger.

Grantz looked at Deviana incredulously. "You can't expect these humans to hand them over. After all it's preposterous." As he says this, he glances at Fen.

Deviana touched his arm calmly, "They have just as much of a hunger for justice as we do. And I'm sure these resonable humans would like peace just as much as us," she said, spitting out the bottle fed answers automatically.

Sen looks at Maxine and sighs. "Not here. We're trying to discuss peace not revenge."
Grantz looks at her and smiles. "But they killed Vetel. How can we forgive such insolence?"

"ALL OF YOU CALM DOWN!" Sentius yells and the room becomes a whole lot brighter. "Can we get negotiating and get to a verdict? Please?"

Sentius clears his throat and looks at all the human ambassadors. "What do you offer?" he asks.

Deviana shot her a glance but kept quiet, turning back to look at Sentius.

Ambassador Ternus finally speaks. "We offer the head of Lord Garant, a high ranking officer of his majesty."
Grantz laughs at the ambassador. "In return, you'll get my foot up your ass."
Sentius glances a commanding stare. "We'll take it."
Fen stands up and looks at the ambassadors, angry. "They can damn replace the council member." He looks at the Ancients. "You think we will give you appeasement. Well you can kiss my boot and taste my blade if you think that this is fair!"

Sentius is speechless, so Grantz steps in and looks at the humans, grinning wildly. "Alright then, which one of you want to die first?"

Deviana stepped in, blade drawn, "Step away human. You are expendable," she looked at Fen, "And we can replace the council member correct, but his children cannot replace their father."

Fen, shocked by this outrage, backs down. "Continue Council Members and Ambassadors."
Grantz smirks, pleased by this outburst from Deviana. "This is new. Since when did you become this scary?"
Sentius clears his throat and speaks "Lord Garant for Vetel's life. Agreed?"
The Ambassador nods.
