Kairi still didn't speak, finally giving up as she just stood there with her head hung. She then suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of him, tears falling lightly down her face. "I'm doing this to protect you. Because its the only thing I can do."

Ventus suddenly opened up a portal and ran through it, seeing Lacie bleeding.

Envy suddenly turned. "Well, well, so glad you could join us, Ventus." She smirked. "Your little girlfriend here was just telling me about you." She gestured to the unconscious Lacie on the ground.

"Do you expect me to just sit around and wait to find out you're been hurt or worse-killed!?" He covered his mouth, wondering how many times she'd said the exact same thing to him...

Xehanort laughed as he approached. "Well, isn't this a shocking surprise?"

Kairi looked away, a few tears falling. From the view Sora had, he could see a long scar that marred her neck. She then looked to him. "How can you ask me that?" she whispered, her voice strained and hurt.

Ventus suddenly appeared next to Lacie, lifting her into his arms and suddenly disappearing with her.

Xehanort laughed. "That's for me to know and you to learn." He gestured for her. "Come here, pet."

Sora tried to take her hand, feeling awful. "Kairi I-"

Lacie slowly stirred. "V-vani?" She asked groggily, sounding scared. Her vision cleared. "Ventus!" Her voice sounded relieved even though it was faint.

Xemmurs stood, hardly believi g he was there she touched his face softly, "Xehanort.."she stuffed her head in his chest, lietening to jis heart, "I missed you..."

"Ventus!" A strong voice called. "What's happened? Who is this?" Master Eraqus said, looking troubled.

Xemmurs looked up stroking his cheek, "You always come at the times I need you m-" she thought of how he sicked the heartless on her. She backed away,afraid.

Kairi pulled her hand away, her lips parted in a silent gasp.

Ventus was practically crying as he held her close. He then looked to the voice with wide eyes.

Xehanort nodded. "Ah...that. Well, I never meant you any harm dear. They were the expirament. They got out somehow in my haste to stop you from leaving."

Sora looked apologetic and tried to studder an apology but he knew he'd fucked up big this time.

"M-Master Eraqus...it's me...Lacie."

Eraqus blinked. "Lacie? But I recall your hair was brown."

"Long story." She weakly moved closer to Ven, since she felt cold. "C-can we go somewhere indoor. I'm cold..."

Eraqus nodded and took them to Disney Castle.

Ventus picked her up and held her close as he followed.

Kairi closed her eyes and whimpered lightly, "Why...?" she whispered, slowly backing away. "Why would you ask me that...? How could you ask me that!?"

Xehanort looked confused yet intrigued in his eyes. "None of that matters to me. Only you, love. Only you."

Lacie's eyes were cloudy as she slipped in and out of consciousness.

Sora was desperate. "I-I didn't mean to..."

Envy screamed in rage, storming into Vanitas' room. "You're little-light just came and stole the girl!" She hissed.

Kairi shrunk back, crying softly.

Ventus was begging her to keep her eyes open.

Envy pointed at Lux. "Did I ask you!?!"

Sora tried to touch her. "Kairi.." He said again, desperate this time. (I feel like a psycho because this is fun to write.)

Lacie shook her head and helf her eyes open. Soon healers took her from his arms and carried her away to be made better.

Kairi sniffled and looked at him.

"No, but you should have listened to me," she commented.

They stopped him. "Sir. This is going to take a while. You can see her tomorrow."

Sora sighed. "I didn't mean it like that. I didn't mean that you couldn't do this or that you were weak. I'm sorry-I just I don't want to let go of you. I just got you back. And I promised to stay with you. Next thing I know, I walk in and you're just gone. I was scared and sad. I didn't know if you'd left or been kidnapped or what. I need you to survive. I can't live without you."

Envy glared at her. "That's okay. Xehanort and Xemnas are awake."

The woman nodded, a smirk on her face. "I have the princess shaken up. Soon, we'll have her too."

Kairi felt tears in her eyes. She then suddenly ran towards him and threw her arms around him tightly, crying.

Ventus struggled to get past them. "No! I need to see her now! I need to know she is safe!"

Sora held her instantly, arms around her.

They looked at Mickey who nodded. "Alrtight, sir but only for a minute."

Kairi sobbed into his shoulder, hugging him as close and as tight as possible.

Ventus ran towards Lacie's room, his heart pounding.

Lacie lay on her bed , hooked up to a pulse machine and a drip with an IV in her arm.

Vanitas sat from afar watching gis sensei.

Xemmurs opened a portal, "I'm with someone...."she remembered Axel ignoring her."I'm no longer light....I'm darkness you do not wa t me...let me show you what I've done..."
