The pair slowly made there way down the tower to safe ground, Lacie taking the lead in the dark. "This step is twice as steep at the others." She said, catiously stepping down.

Ventus nodded and stepped down cautiously before following her.

Axel sat up in confusion. "Okey dokey then..."

Sora held her. "It's not your fault Kairi. Don't beat yourself up."

Once on the ground, she wandered aimlessly. "This is where I live when I was 'Orphan Lacie' with no family. I only had one friend and, acording to Master Xehanort, that was you even though...it was Roxas." She laughed softly, breaking from his grasp and walked into the empty courtyard, and seemed to dance to a silent tune with an invisible partner."I chased you. I followed you to castle Oblivion, where I was told I was part of you. I thought that's why I felt incomplete without you." She stopped her moving and walked to him, blue eyes sparkling with tears that mixed with the rain. Tears of memories past. "When I saw you asleep, I wanted nothing but to wake you and kiss you."

Ven stepped towards her, almost entranced by her. He nodded for her to continue.

Kairi nodded and sniffled, pulling away. She stared at his chest where there was left over blood from his now healed wound.

Lacie took his hand and led him in a smoothly gliding dance as she spoke. "Then...when I met Vanitas, I felt...drawn to him...like he was part of whatever it was I was missing. It wasn't until you woke that I remembered why. I thought that once I separated Envy from me, I'd finally be able to decide who I love more. But tonight was proof that I love all of. Both halves." She said softly. "And I can't choose just one." I sniffled. "But if I choose both, I'm a traitor."

Sora stood and grabbed his boxers. "I'm gonna go get a rag and get this mess cleaned up, okay?"

Axel sighed and stood, splashing some water on his face to cool down.

Ventus listened. He couldn't help but feel jealous of the counterpart because no matter what he did, he could never have Lacie's heart.

Sora washed the blood from himself and rinsed the rags, then coming to wash it off of Kairi.

Lacie smiled sadly. "I tried to stop feeling this way- I tried so hard. I feel like I've let you down..."

When Sora went to go clean the blood off of Kairi, she was no where to be found, as if she just disappeared without a trace except for the letter on the bed.

Ventus shook his head, pulling her close. He had come to terms with this around the time he fell in love with her.

Axel sighed and calmed down walkiing to where he saw Nippy. "I'm not gonna hurt her. Now where is she."

Sora frowned and grabbed the note opening it.

Lacie hugged him with a sigh. "How can you possibly put up with all of my shit?"
