Sierra: I stroked his graying mane tenderly and picked a pansy, holding it to him. He loved pansies. They had allh said that he was that he should be put down but I refused. I would take care of him until the day his age took his life when I would be there petting him. He was my horse and companion.

Sierra: I was too absorbed in my thoughts about what I would do when Hellion was gone. They said any week now and I needed to pick a new one. They suggested this lovely brood mare from Japan with a strawberry roan coat and hazle eyes. But I dicided against er. She didn't have the same passion as Hellion did. I'd picked him for the fire in his eyes.

Sierra: I smiled softly and petted his mane. "It's almost as if I'm losing my closest friend." I replied, locking my jaw to fight back tears and 'vulenerability'. "He always seemed to know just what to do and where to take me to feel better. The day after my mother died, he took me to the nile. The same place I go now. ANd just, laying there, staring at the water and hearing him huff I knew somehow everything would be okay. He's been there for the last ten years of my life. Everyone says he's just an animal. But he's more than that. He's been my rock through all these years. Always there for me. And....I guess now I can't do anything but just be there for him until the end." I laughed softly. "I sound like such a sap right now.."

Sierra: I swallowed hard. "Yeah..." I nodded, gritting my teeth. "I must be going. I have more wedding stuff to do today." I said. I didn't mention that the person I was to be wedded to had changed.
