Nakia shivered as the night air rushed through the cracked walls of the church. It had one wall that was halfway decent and she was curled up next to it, trying to stay pretected from the sand that blew in as well. She heard the metallic beeping of the old server that stood high in the middle of the ruined town. A crackley noise rolled out and then a voice speaking of some type of furniture. She nuzzled her head against the wall and tried to stick out one more night. She could look for others tomorrow.

Raz's shoes were tied around his neck and his feet were immersed in the cooling sand. Maybe he could find someone tonight... He might not be the only one walking around this late. Even if he didn't, he still might find a building that didn't look like it would fall apart if he leaned on it. No one's out here. You and I know it both, Raziel. The voice was barely audible, but still, he swung his head around. No one. His hand ran over his ear and he sighed, his eyes still searching.

Alicia walked numbly down the street, not caring what she found. There was no real point to it. Really, this place was a means to an end and that's all. Just a way to prolong life before death. Another way to die.

Max sighed as he strolled down the street, wondering if it'd be another night in the street of if he'd find a half-decent place to stay. He'd begun to wonder if he was the last person alive. It was too quiet.

Setting:

The city of Superiors is full of huge glass and crystaline buildings. It's very clean and structured. Not a whole lot of color or fun, but a lot of rules

Outside of the city is mostly desert with a few scattered, ghost towns. Sometimes, Superior spies are lurking around, but not a whole lot.

Alicia walked through the night, teeth chattering and wincing as sand blew into her eyes. She eventually gave up and sat down on a sand dune. "What's the point, anyway?" she mused. "Everyone eventually dies."

Max layed on his back, looking up at the sky. The sand was cool through his shirt and he couldn't hold back a smile at the peacful serene setting.

Raz heard another voice, somewhere near him. Damn voices, he trhought to himself and rubbed his ears. He kept walking, spotting his old perching ground . He had found a cellar, filled with some freeze dried food and a well. A well! He was able to drink and not feel like he was going feel like he was going to vomit.

Nakia grinned and stood up, looking through the window of th church and stretching out Her nap had been good. Outside, she saw a boy, laying nearly parallel to where she had been. Slowly, she left the church and walked outside. He was probaby 100 feet away, but he was close enough to make out. He was long... Er, taall. "Hello?" She called.

Alicia sighed and stood up. "Okay, enough sitting, best keep moving." She muttered. "Not like it's any point but it's better than sitting around and waiting to die." She sighed. "I don't know why I still talk. Not like anyone's around to listen."

Max sat up and looked over and saw a girl standing in front of one of the buildings and waved, standing up. "Hi,"

Nakia walked over cautiously. "I'm Nakia," she said with a small smile. She got over to him and decided that he wouldn't be out here, laying around, if he was a Superior. She sat cross legged about five feet away from him.

Raz turned his head, confused. He didn't hear the same voice in his head that often, unless it was the arngy hiss that plagued him day and night. He jumped slightly. "Woah... Um... Hello," he said to the girl, who was surprisingly close.

Max smiled and turned to her. "Max." He didn't say anything else.

Alicia yelped, looking up. "Wah! Huh! Eeek!" she said looking around, she relaxed, putting her hand on her chest as she saw the owned of the voice. "Erm.....hi." she replied, shakily. "You scared me."

Raz looked at her carefully, with glowing white-silver eyes. Then, he broke into a disarming smile. "Sorry about that," he said, wondering if she was actually real. Apparitions weren't extremely uncommon.

Nakia paused, twisting a darkcurl around her finger and experimentally moved closer. "So, obviously, you're not a Superior.... Right?"

Alicia looked at him. "It's alright, I'm Alicia." She said, cautiously taking a step back so as not to feel so crowded.

Max actedly like he was thinking. "Not the last time I checked I wasn't."

Nakia smiled easily, her white teeth contrasting heavily with her dark skin. "Okay. Neither am I," she said, just for clarification. Maybe she could make a new friend. That was... If he wasn't lying.

Raz chuckled. "I'm Raziel," he said. "Raz for short."

"Good to know." He replied, his stature relaxing a bit. "I was starting to worry if I was the only one still alive out here."

Alicia nodded. "Nice to meet you, I think."

"Same here," Nakia said, looking up at the few stars that weren't covered with clouds. A roll of thunder came rom the sky and she jumped a little. "You can come into the church if you want," she shrugged, but her offer was genuine.

Raz nodded. "It's always a good thing to find another person that isn't a Superior... But I'm just assuming that you're not."

Max sighed and stood up. "I think I just might take you up on that."

Alicia frowned. "Don't even mention superiors, I despise them with a bloody fiery passion!"

Nakia rolled to her feet and started with a skip towards the church. It had a fairly sturdy roof and all of its windows, but Nakia had taken down the religious paintings. She pushed all of the pews to the side and took the cushions off, making a few different beds. "So, how old are you?" She asked, cocking her head.

Raz chuckle a little more. I haven'theard you laugh in forever. Why don't you ever laugh with me? It hissed, quietly in his ear. He shook his head and tried to smile. "Same here."

"Fourteen. Is there anything I can help with?" He asked, watching her.

Alicia smiled slightly. "So we're in agreement: Supiriors are a buncha evil cusses."

"Agreed," Raz said as the approached an old buildin and then his smile grew even more. "Are you going to be staying here, too?" He asked witha sudden interest.

Nakia shook her head and sat down on one of the mat like beds. "I'm 16, for the record," she said and stretched out her legs. The rain started to fall hard and make a quiet pitter on the room. She wondered if it would be creepy to think he was cute or not...

Alicia shrugged. "Probably just for the night if so. I kinda figured walking was a better waste of time than just sitting around and waiting to get killed." she replied morbidly.

Max smiled. "That's cool." he said. Honestly, she was pretty hot.

Nakia slipped off her sweater, stetching out a little more and then turning to watch him with a careful smile. She had never felt more vulnerable, here with a boy younger than her in a tank op and shorts. If she had been in the city, she would have felt normal, but that was a past time.

Raz shook his head, a smile still on his lips. "Morbid, eh?" He asked, cocking his head toward her. Some dark black hair fell into one of his bright, off-white eyes and he blew it away with a child-like smile.
