In their small town of Annapolis the kids who belong to the Douglas Mystery Solvers Club, more shortly known as the Douglas Kids, are no stranger to solving crimes, and mysteries. Starting with the Hammons twins the branch or the club soon grew to its current state of five members. Together these five kids have quite the reputation of being smart, and able to solve any problem put their way.

Most recently the police chief has requested that they solve, or attempt to solve a cold case that has recently been reopened. How they were recruited, The Hammons twins dad, of course said they would be the best for the job. And as a secret agent the police listened.

Now with a file in hand they sit in an old treehouse studying the file.

They had three suspects, Billy McClean the old Park Ranger whom everyone knows, Robert O'Toole a captain of one of the bigger yachts in the harbor, and Greyson Brown the dad of the first missing kid. Of course their were many leads with dead ends.

The background to the case was simple. While the family went to the nearby woods to camp the kid usually ranging from five to eight was taken with little evidence left. No remains have turned up, so the kids must be somewhere. A few days before the camping trips of the families a bear has been spotted. But that is it. No other clues.

Now you ask why was the case reopened. Simple Eddie Brown showed up unconscious in the park. He was very much alive, and he didn't remember anything.

(so here is your background post)

"I just don't see how he can remember nothing." Eddie said sliding the file to the center of the table for anyone to read.
Chris was sitting across from him, "Maybe his memory was swiped, you know like in the movies."
Eddie gave him a look, and tried so hard to not roll his eyes, "It wouldn't be something like that Chris. That stuff is all made up."
"You don't know that." Chris said, looking at the picture of the boy.

Chris flicked the picture across the table. The boy was pale skinned, had bleached blond hair and bright blue eyes, and a few freckles. He looked alot like Chris in actuality.
"Chris, Hollywood makes everything that is plausible impossible."
"You're such a party pooper, Eddie."
"I know, I know you only tell me a few times a day."
