Sakura whimpered and coughed, tears washing down her face. She coughed until her throat was cleared and she coughed up blood. She stared at the crimson with wide eyes. As she stared she noticed her stomach no longer hurting.

Sakura's eyes drifted towards his, a blank look on her face. Her lips were parted slightly, reddened from the blood; her pink brow was furrowed slightly, her frost green eyes tinged with red.

Naruto had tears in his eyes and his lips trembled. He hated seeing her like this.

As she blinked, her face softened and her lips curled up into a weak smile. Reaching over, weakly, she grabbed his hand as her thumb brushed against his knuckles. The gesture was soft and caring. Even in pain or a moment where people worried about her, she would be selfless; she'd always worry about others first before dealing with herself.

Naruto held her to his chest, tears falling. "Sakura, you'll be okay." He promised weakly.

She nodded in agreement. "I'll always be okay with you by my side," she confessed in a soft voice, her ear pressed against his chest. Her eyes closed as she listened to his heartbeat.

She peeled her eyes open and looked up at him. Her lips at first had a smile but they turned downward into a frown upon seeing his tears. "Naruto...Why are you crying?" she asked as her fingers brushed the tears away.

Her drooped eyelids seemed to smile also. "And you'll have me for a very long time Naruto. Believe me and trust me when I say this. I'm going to stay by your side for as long as you want me to be." Her hand cupped his cheek as she gave him a signiture Haruno Sakura smile.

) Sakura nuzzled her cheek into his shoulder, curling up closer to him. "I...I think I might not get nightmares for once," she said in a soft murmur while her eyes closed and a small smile occupied her face.
