Nite giggled as she walked off to find -and possibly whoop the ass of- the source of her best friend's pain.

Naruto yelled at Nite's back, "You can't leave me with the Teme! He'll kill me!"

"Sai!" Nite yelled, seeing him on the street. She could tell by the look on his face and the fact that he'd taken off running that he was busted doing something that would get his ass kicked.

Ayumi pushed Naruto up against the wall and started to scold him. "Look, I understand there is tension between you and Sasuke, but if you act like this then why in the hell did you want him back? And I'm not talking about the whole `Oh, I did it for Sakura-chan` speech."

A choked up sob left her mouth as her eyes closed and tears spilled. Her hand, shaking slightly, covered her mouth as her shoulders slumped. Her heart was slowly breaking and the walls that Sai himself broke down; they shot back up.

Ayumi pushed her best friend away, trembling. "No...No. I-I'm f-fine. I'm fine." Tears stained her face which was marred by sadness. "I-I've got to go," she murmured before sprinting away as the memories she locked away long ago returned and attacked her mind.

Nite sighed and watched her go. She's beat the mess out of sai to the point he'd be here soon. "Sasuke, let's go, Sasuke. Naruto can take care of Sakura or call us if something goes wrong and I have a serious headache now."
