I nod thanks and start pouring alcohal onto cotton balls. But when I look at the size of his cuts, I rip up a curtain and use that instead. Dousing that in alcohal, I turn back to Evan. "You might want to hold him down now..."

jump at the sound of the eerie voice, nearly knocking down the whole bottle.After steadying it, I take a breath abd try to get refocused. "Don't worry, Scarlet," I say as I brush the hair out of my face. "He'll be ok."

Scarlet : I go over, he look like he wants to scream but i guess he can't. I pull out his inhale and make him take a breath in once, twice and then a third time. "Don't be selfish and die," I tell him. His eyes are wide and wild and...angry. I scowl at him and leave the room. It was five minutes till midnight..

I watch as Scarlet leaves the room. "Can you talk now, Selt?" I take the curtain and start cleaning his wounds, the back of my mind thinking that he'd need stitches to completely heal. He doesn't really strike me as a needle type...

"Well, you have about three minutes to absolutely love them." I take out a curved needle and put it in a bowl of alcohal. Then I remember something. I walk into the kitchen and come back with a small bottle of whisky. I toss it to him. "It helped amputees get over the pain during the Civil War. After drinking a full bottle of this, they could barely feel a thing...until the saw staring going through..." I take an ice pack out of the first aid and sit it on his shoulder. "Abd my grandma, the one on my mom's side, was a bitch anyway. I wouldn't make her socks if my life depended on it."

Selt : Can you believe i found the strength to laugh? I think it was nervousness. Ive never drunken anything like this before but i dont hesitate to start taking it down. "Bitter," I do stop to say but i force it down until i can't see straight. "E-evan, please dont....dont let her...and...the needles...chickens....i...."

"That's right, chickens..." I say slowly. After a moment, I take off the ice pack and tap along the cut. The bleeding's gone down and he's barely flinching. Good. I take a washcloth, roll it into a ball and make him put it into his mouth. I pick up the needle and perch myself on the table. "So, tell me every little detail about the day Scarlet was born. And I mean everything." Just some random topic to keep his mind off of things. It'll take enough focus in the first place to even talk through the washcloth.

Selt : "'Wah?..." I can't talk with that thing in my mouth, when i stick out my neck a bit i see that shes either cutting me up or trying to close me but either way it stings alot and the colors are pretty...vivid.,..
"Scarlet...she was..a baby...and she...had a twin..but it died...water baby....i was at the hospital too. i thought i was going to die..but my mom said i couldnt die yet..that.." I stop, my mom?...i remember a lady in red told me i couldnt die yet..cus i hadn't inherited anything..

Devin: When they got back, I made a quick check up on Pierce, I couldn't help it, before I ran to the living room where Selt was being worked upon. I grimace as I walk in. I was never one to be calm around blood, so this was a stretch for me. "How are you doing?" I ask Selt a little shakily.
