Robin turned, surprised by her question, "Didn't want to bug you and your dragon bonding." he responded.

[Gifty]

Jasmine: " Dont leave though. I don't want to be alone." I may act like I was older than 14 but I was just 14!

[Charlie]

"Then I'll stay." Robin said. He looked her age, but he knew he was quite a few years older than her.

[Gifty]

Jasmine: I looked at the little dragon and touched his head again. I gasped as a scar cut itself into my skin.

[Charlie]

Robin looked at the scar. Why was his so much more evident and coming from the little dragon egg, it only made him wonder what would happen when the dragon in his own little egg hatched.

I had silently followed the pair as they went to the stable, the dragon was beautiful, a lost gem of its kind. It made me think of Kaim, I pulled off my right glove to look at my own scar upon my hand, its dotted swirls making up an image.

The sign of a dragon bond. Kaim roared somewhere off in the distance within my mind in response to my loneliness, he missed me, as I missed him.
"It is mark to prove your bond of a dragon, it shall never fade, even if the dragon may die" I informed them both, my knowledge of the creatures large.

"So, does everyone have a heart-felt pet except me now? Great," she murmured as she walked up, "Cute, dragons always are so innocently sweet in looks when they;re young," she smiled, missing Marks slightly; she needed to get a new pet. Period.

[Charlie]

Robin nodded, "I know." He knew plenty about dragons, and if she were curious enough she would ask why the strange marks on his face.
Robin turned to the other girl, "I don't have a pet."

"Yeah, apart from I just lost mine... You didn't have anything that your heart was attached to..." she shook her head solemnly before looking over to her cave, "I need to get outta here before it happens again..."

[InioMika]

"Violet, it is better to have known the compagnionship then to have not too." I tried to smile comfortingly to her, I really was hopeless with emotions.
I took a look at the boys face properly, those marks, they looked... familar...
"Where did you recieve those marks" I looked at him so he knew I was talking to him.

[Charlie]

Robin looked at the girl, "Knife fight." He said. It was his response, it was so natural now that sometimes even he believed it.

[InioMika]

"those are not the wounds of a blade" I said catching out his lie

[InioMika]

I then pulled up the sleeve of my left arm, revaling similar marks etched around the upper part.

[Charlie]

"They are." Robin said. Ignoring the cuts on her arm. "Its a thrilling story, and you should here it some time." He would never tell. He would rather kill himself than tell.

"So, what are they then?" she raised an eyebrow ignoring her comment about the whole 'companionship' thing, she'd rather he was still alive to be honest rather to have known him.

[InioMika]

I frowned "If you know of my people, elves, we know when we are lied too" I needed to know the truth, if my theory was right, this boy could be important.

[Charlie]

"They are scars from a knife fight." Robin continued on saying. He was not going to be drawn into some plan. He could barely trust these people, its why he told them his name was Robert, its why he refused to tell them anything else.

"So, no? I'm being ignored? Okay, I'll go back to me cave, I need a bit of solitude and stuff," she shrugged and sighed, walking back humming the elven song that her grandmother had taught her; she didn't know the words to it, the paper was burnt in the forest fire that was here all those years ago which turned this place into a dank, dark and depressing swamp.

"Marks, what do you think: Should I replace you? Should I maybe get something mystical like a dragon? Everyone else seems to have one apart from her, "Or should I just get a pigeon?" she sighed as she leant on the outside of the cave, "Or just keep moaning about your loss until the day that I die...? I think the latter is gonna be the most likely, right?"
She was talking to herself, either that or a dead bird that was still half-poking out from the sludge. She was going insane.

[Charlie]

Robin looked at the girl who walked away and yelled after her, "Like I said they are from a knife fight."

[InioMika]

"Do not lie to me. I have the same scars" I eyed him, checking on Violet with the corner of my vision.

[OpenTheDoor]

"I think a pigeon will do, at least that'll do one of your jobs..." she sighed, tapping the side of her leg, "Anyway, I wouldn't want a dragon, to much trouble, it'll put me in the public eye too much, that's what Grandmother said at least with Rin, poor girl. Ice melts in forest fires," her eyes watched the pair over the swamp, occasionally looking to the place where Marks was.
I didn't melt... That's a little cruel is it not? a voice came from behind her.
She jolted as she looked around, scared shitless.
"Hello?" she called as the voice repeated it's words, "Freaky."

[Charlie]

"I'm not lying." Robin insisted. They could not be the same, only Legend dragons gave this kind of mark. Subconsciously he knew they would get brighter as the dragon hatched and grew.

[InioMika]

"A legend dragon gave you them no?" I told him, fed up with him lying. " I recieved mine when one trying to kill me and my dragon Kaim. A bloody battle, the legend dragon was sadly killed not long ago" when I say not long ago I mean about fifty years however. I had the body of a nineteen year old but I was really about seventy three years of age, elves had such a strange lifespan.
"So tell me, when did you recieve yours? is the Legend Dragon still alive?" I asked, they were nearly extinct now, many had died in the past twenty years. One hadn't been seen since.

[Charlie]

Robin lied through his teeth, this elf was to nosy. "What the hell is a Legend dragon?" he asked in complete disbelief of what she was saying. He would not tell her anything. She might as well just ask what age he was at this point in time.

[InioMika]

I smiled, he was definitely determined, exactly like a human.
"so you have a dragon egg too?" I finally noticed the gentle presence of it inside his clothing. I dropped my smile, I'm not sure what my face showed but I was suddenly full of curiosity.

I never died... her voice told Violet as she sighed.
"Look, whoever it is you better come out now!" she snapped, fed up with the whole thing.
You're not like your grandmother, she was always a sweet and kind woman, I think the way of the streets have tainted you too much. Pity, a shadow slid out from the cave, a smallish little lizard was there.
"And you are...?" Violet looked at it, rather sweet.
I am Rin, she seemed to smile, but that was impossible.
"No, because you were huge when I last saw you! Now your kinda tiny..." she shook her head.
It's a long story, dragons of Legend can do impossible things, y'know? she ran out and leapt onto the girl, taking the wind out of her chest.
"Okay, but your heavy, you know that?" she winced as the little winged lizard curled up on her, "And I'm in the middle of morning the death of my hawk at the moment, a normal companion, right?"
So, I'm not wanted? she seemed to frown at her.
"I dunno," Violet shrugged, keeping her cool, "Just that you're my grandmother's, not mine."
"But you know she died that night, I was meant to die that night too, but I never because you were alive, it's in your blood, plus you were born with your marks, the wing-like shapes on your shoulder blades, nothing natural, is it not?[i]
Violet just bit her lip, in all of her seventeen years of living has she ever been faced with a lump of truth like that.
"Fine."
