Cloud: Using a little of my not so inconsiderable intellect, I deduced that these two weren't friends. I caught the handle of my sword and drew it a ways out of the sheath. "Tifa...?" I looked to her for an explanation or an invitation to hack and slash this Hitomi.

I looked at Cloud, "I fought her." I say simply, my voice cold. I looked back to her and shoved my black gloves on.

I glanced at Cloud and clenched my hands. "Stay out of this." I say then look back at Hitomi as she shoved her red gloves on. "Let's see if you can actually beat me this time." She said, her voice cocky and overly charismatic. I smirked, "Bring it." She charged towards me and I did the same. I jumped, my foot flying into her shoulder and pushed myself off it, arching into a back-flip and landing in a crouch. She grimaced as she had difficulty with popping her shoulder back in.

Cloud: I rested my sword on my shoulder (in the classic Cloud pose Wink

) and did as I was told, which probably would never happen again, but Tifa had been the one who had asked me.

I smirked and stood, clenching and unclenching my hands as they became surrounded by electricity. I ran towards her again and jumped past her, the electricity scorching her body as I did so. I landed and turned around only to be slammed into a tree, a horrible burn mark on my shoulder. I grimaced and stood up, my whole arms engulfing in flames. "I'd like my Materia orb back if you don't mind." She glared at me, "Gonna have to beat me first." I smirked again. "Easy." I charged towards her and started to fight her fist to fist.

Cloud: I had taken a step forward when Tifa hit the tree, but she seemed to have things under control. If things started going south, I'd step in.

I glanced at Cloud and gave him a look that said, 'I'm fine.' I jumped away from a kick and closed my eyes, a symbol of a clock appearing below me, glowing white. I made time slow down and I wailed on Hitomi rapidly, just before everything went to normal speed again.

Cloud: Even with Tifa's reassuring look, I was still on edge. I watched her like a hawk. This Hitomi bitch was good, but, naturally, Tifa was better.

I landed a spinning roundhouse kick to her jaw, but she grabbed my leg smirking. "You should know by now Tifa that doesn't work." I smirked, "Oh yeah? Watch." I growled before jumping, my ankles wrapping around her neck as I went to a handstand and threw her into a tree. A materia orb shot out, one of the three she still has. I grabbed it shoving it into my shoulder, smirking as I went back to a fighting stance.

I smiled and dodged a punch, landing my foot on her kneecap, breaking it. I jumped back as she took out a gun. Shit.

Cloud: I stepped forward, my sword coming down from shoulder. I leveled it at Hitomi. I wasn't sure whether or not to attack. Hesitating was the worst possible thing I could have done in that moment, but I looked to Tifa.

I looked at Cloud and gave him a look that said, 'This bitch is crazy and stupid.' I smirked then made a move which caused her to shoot. I moved fast, the bullet grazing my cheek and grabbed her arm, pulling it behind her and kneeing her in the back. I grabbed the materia orb while throwing Hitomi into a tree. Two down, One to go.

I shoved the Materia orb into place, a little out of breath. Hitomi noticed this and grinned.

Cloud: I frowned. I hadn't been expecting Hitomi to look happy about Tifa getting the materia orbs. I took a step forward. What was going on here?

I looked from Cloud then back to Hitomi only to find, she wasn't there. I looked around then back to Cloud. "Where did she go!?" I ask, confused and on edge.

Cloud: My eyebrows furrowed in a frown. "She was right there," I said, twisting around to check behind me.

I ran a hand through my hair, looking around still, my jaw clenching. I turned around only to have Hitomi's fist slam into my stomach with so much force, I flew into a tree, feeling some bones in my body breaking from the impact.

I weakly got onto my hands and knees, trembling and gasping. I watched in terror as Cloud fought Hitomi.

Hitomi dodged all of Cloud's swipes, laughing and mocking him. The Materia orb that she still had contained most of Tifa's memories and one of her most powerful skills.

Cloud: I growled in fury as she taunted me, but I kept on fighting. I sliced her arm with a lucky blow, only to leave my flank open. She hit me with her fist. I rolled with the blow and came up a few feet away from her.

I tried standing with difficulty. I couldn't let Cloud fight her alone. I fully stood, eyes blazing to the color of fire itself. "Hitomi!" I yell and as she turns toward me, I flick my wrist and a ring of fire surrounds her close.

Hitomi looked at me, "So Tifa. How about I kill you and make your friend watch?" She suddenly disappeared and before I could look around, her arm wrapped around my neck and the gun was poised to where if the trigger was pulled, the bullet would, cleanly, go through my stomach. Her arm was tight around my neck so I couldn't talk and I couldn't breathe well.
