They were at a stop light. Gabe was just waiting for her to ask, but she was drunk. So he doubted they would come.

She continued looking down until she finally broke the silence with a question that'd been bugging her for a while. "Why?" she asked looking up. "Why help me?" she asked watching the road.

She shrugged. "I dunno. I guess I'm just so used to being on my own it's a new thing for me. To have someone tell me not to mess up my life." she stated, laughing humorlessly. "My mom sure doesn't..."

The dog, walked up to her, and licked her hand. Gabe walked inside his condo. "You can have my room again." He would sleep in Ron's room, he could not handle another night on the couch.

She sighed, seeing his displeasure. "Look, how about we both sleep in there? it's no big deal. We're both adults." she reasoned.

"No." Gabe said. "I'll sleep in the other room, you take mine. Just don't going messing through the drawers." Gabe said walking into his brother's room, followed by the dog, and shut the door.

She rolled her eyes. She'd never undestand guys. Without another word she did as he'd instructed and climbed in his bed shutting her eyes, letting an alcohol induced sleep wash over her.

Gabe looked at his brother's room. He didn't even go to the funeral. He took a step forward and stepped on broken glass, "Sss, Damnit." He hopped on one foot, and picked up the picture. It was him and another boy with dark brown hair that had a swoosh to it.

He was in a football uniform, and the other kid in a soccer jersey. Both were smiling and sweaty. Gabe never understood how he and Ron were brothers they were complete opposites. Nevertheless they loved each other. he folded the picture and pocketed it.

He gazed at the walls filled with trophy's and posters of Edwin Van der Sar, Manchester United, and other soccer players. He sighed, and slipped into his brother's bed.

(here is ron's description Average guy. Not to fat not to skinny. Dark brown hair, that has a swoosh to it, but it is kinda floppy. Bright blue eyes, soccer player, 6'4. )

Nikki woke the next morning with a killer migrane and hissed pulling the blanket over her head to block out the light. "Damn.." she muttered.

Gabe flicked on the TV, to a silent volume, and watched it as he flopped the pancakes in the pan.
