Akahana focused her energy on maintaining the illusion. She didn't know how else she could be of use.

Kyle: "Keep it Akahana." The gates were finally fully open as we were beginning to exit, "Get ready to let the Illusion go. Everyone else get ready to open fire!" I raised my gun aiming at the troops firing upon the base, "Our objective is to push through, not to destroy."

Kyle: "Clear them out." Guns from the exiting resistance members began to fire. "Bust your way through, Alpha 2-3 guard our right flank, Alpha 2-2 guard the left. Hold your positions and hold them away from the rest of the division once we're past." I looked at Akahana, "Welcome to real war Akahana, stay with me."

RECAP TIME

Alright so, we're 31 pages into the story, basically no one has really joined since the last recap but anyways... At the current time, Alice and Violet are together(Which is probably going to be rare due to the dislike of eachother) Jasmine ran into an issue ordering the Kitsune to cause a decoy so that her squads could successfully disable a Nationalists base that has been torchering the only rebellion base. The Nationalists base received an unaccounted group of reinforcements between the time of the message and when the kitsune were to create a decoy, putting the leader of the kitsune in a hostile territory, without reinforcements, and not enough time to get another message to the leader of the kitsune.
Now taking desperate measures to the next level when she orders a full out assault to try to defend the Kitsune. Meanwhile scouting forces of the resistance are encountering attacks every direction, as seen in the hospital. The resistance takes extra measures to defend themselves killing off the doctors, blaming them of being traders of the resistance. As seen by the term 'Bloody nationalists' said just before 2 members of the resistance kill 5 doctors, and secretly a command is given to kill the rest of the doctors.
Jasmine knowing very little of what is going on in the surrounding battles is receiving 2nd-hand info from a messenger wolf. The wolf is very trustful but is not receiving all the information going in and out of basecamp. Jasmine, trying to keep a stable army together while defending her allies sends a second letter to the priestess of the Drake elves with the following orders, 'reinforce the base damn it, or we will fall at the hand of the Nationalists.'

And thats basically where the story stands.

"Gladly," Akahana said, running as a fox alongside Kyle. She didn't know why she was scared. The Nationalists couldn't kill her, unless they had a Dragon. They couldn't kill the Lady without one either, she realized gleefully. But what if they did have a one? "Kyle," she asked, "Do the Nationalists have a Dragon?"

I burst outside and saw Kyle with a fox beside him. My wolf ears and tail popped out and my ears twitched. "Kyle, watch out, Nationalist on your 9:00 up top!" I yell, staring at the guy in the tree.

Kyle: I looked at Akahana, "Lets worry about that later." I looked back at the members of the resistance, "Move up! Move up! Alpha 2-3 ad Alpha 2-2 make guard, don't let them hit our backs. The rest of you keep moving!" We had pushed through the line of Nationalists and were running towards a city.

Kyle: "Fang 3 sniper 3rd floor 2nd window, take him out. Akahana get behind something hard. All forces hold this position Echo 3-2 take your forces into the city and clean them up. Alpha 2-2 how are you guys holding up?"

Alpha 2-2: "We're confirming kills but you may want to clean that city quick or their going to pin around you."

Kyle: "Echo 3-2 force forward hurry!" I ran behind a boulder pointing Akahana to come next to me.

I jumped into a tree and morphed back. I was relived that my clothes hadn't torn too much. They just look like I was in a harsh battle. I took out my .9mm and .50 caliber Desert Eagle and jumped down, hiding in the shadows. Kyle, what the hell is going on?

Akahana ducked behind the boulder. She realized how utterly stupid war was. The soldiers were merely pawns. And whoever ran out of pawns or quit first, lost. Quite sad, really.

I saw a few Nationalists coming towards us then quickly teleported behind them. "Hey boys, look behind you." I say, voice seductive. They turned around and in a minute, were lying down on the ground, bleeding from their necks. I ran back to the tree and jumped into it, oblivious in the shadows.

Akahana watched as Alice(Right?) attacked two Nationalists. Kyle hadn't answered her question. It probably didn't matter to them, but the Lady's safety was vital to Akahana. If the Nationalists had a Dragon, they could... kill the Lady.

(Good explination bari, I've seen it explained many ways, I've only heard something similar to that. Sadly it is the truth about real war too, Soldiers just play as pawns in a game of Chess, Major governments are the players, then the citizens are the things that hide behind the pawns. But I respect their efforts non-the-less.)

Kyle: "Alpha 2-2 and Alpha 2-3 hold your lines just a little longer, Echo team is moving into the city, we'll be advancing soon, your coming with us, let the base take care of the rest. We need to worry about our own lives. Echo team, watch for snipers the base isn't far ahead." I grabbed one of the soldiers that had grabbed cover on the other side of me, "Whats your name soldier?"

Resistance soldier: "Private First class Ackhile sir."

Kyle: "Alright Ackhile, I'm giving you 2 men to command, I need you to take that building over there so that we can setup counter snipers. Apple and Hill get over here."

2 Soldiers: Rush over to Kyle and salute, "What do you need sir?"

Kyle: "Meet PFC. Ackhile, he's going to lead you into that building over there." I pointed to the building, "I need that cleaned out asap so we can set our own snipers for the advancement."

All 3: "Yes sir." Ackhile rolled around the side of the rock and started running for the building.

Kyle: "COVERING FIRE." Me and a couple other soldiers began to shoot at the building that I had sent them to. "Akahana are you alright?"

Kyle: "Akahana listen to me... I don't know what the nationalists have anymore. It used to be just a division of ground troops at their base, so far we've encountered Artillery, at least 3 division, and they're preparing to move up more troops. To my knowledge they have nothing that can fight in the air, but I don't know anymore." I looked at Ackhile's group they were at the door preparing to breach, "Alpha 2-2 pull your forces to regroup with us, Alpha 2-3 move to the right of the advancement. All snipers get ready to get in that building. Violet, Alice, Jasmine, are you all okay?"

Akahana now knew that what many had told her was true. War changed people. Hardened them, made them cold. In a way, it killed them, even if not literally.

Kyle: "Its still more then I want, why didn't you go to the infirmary?"

Resistance Soldier(Over the com): "Ackhile's down, I repeat Ackhile is down, but we have the building."

Kyle: "I hear you, hold onto it. Snipers move up, all Nationalists defenses must be taken down." I looked at Akahana, "And do me a favor, check for a dragon of any sort, that's apparently a major threat to our primary objective." I peaked my head around the rock, Nationalists were moving more troops into the city. "Echo force, watch out I see possible 100+ at your 12." I looked around for anything else that could be an issue. "Violet, Jasmine you never answered me."

"Didn't need to. Violet healed me." I say and see more of the Nationalists. "Let me take care of these guys. I watched them burn a little girl, they need to burn themselves." I growl, eyes going from a regular hazel to burning emeralds. I run towards them, Katanas ready, my body a blur.
