Alaric : I take a sip, "You'd make a good wife," I say to Sae. For the first time i see actual human emotion on her face. She was blushing. "Loveless can't get married unless its to their master's or mistress's," She says in a flustered voice, stirring eggs in a bowl with chop sticks.

Kody: After i finish with my drink, i drop the glass in the sink and go over to where my jacket is. "I'm going to go drop off the paperwork. I'll..i'll be back later." I say after a moment of hesitation.

Alaric : "Oh, okay. Be careful," I say, standing up to walk her out. It was weird. I felt like i spent less and less time with her every day. It also felt like my whole life had changed in a matter of days..

Kody: I sigh as i get back in the car. Today seemed like a good day to take a break from life. no, i am not going to kill myself or something dramatic like that, i'm just going to spend the day not having to think about certain things. and people.
After i drop off the papers, i meet up with the owner and the condo is mine. I tell him i'll move in tomorrow at the latest.
Then i go out walking downtown by myself, glad that today was a little warmer.

Alaric : "So are you going to tell me what the whole Loveless thing is about?" I ask, looking at Saeyeon whos stop slurping up a noodle in mid action. "Just finish it," I sigh. For someone who was sent to protect me she was kind of hopeless..
She finished up the noodle, her eyes becoming serious. "I told you already. Loveless are people who's mods went bad and took over their systems," She repeated.
I nodded, "But what about this master thing? Am i really your master or am i a replacement?" I ask, leaning forward in my chair.
Sae visibly hesitated for a minute before finally answering. "No you're not my master. If you were your name would appear on my body but it hasn't and it won't," She says. "Masters are the people who help keep Loveless alive. Its their...care..their love...Usually you'll see a lot of masters and loveless kissing because its a great transfer of strength," She goes on as if it were a topic as trivial as the weather. I sigh, letting it sink in. "Like Irvin and me?"
She blushes but nods. "In a way..."
"In a way?" I ask.
She nods and looks down, "You were a replacement.."

Alaric : My eyebrows knitted together. "What does that mean?..." I ask more in a rush this time.
She sat up again, her eyes lingering on mine. "You see..Loveless have their masters planned out for them...well some loveless...Irvin. Irvin was a blank loveless, so , in other words, the only way Irvin could live on was for someone to be his master. Someone had to carve their name into his skin.." She trailed off, her face looked darker with sadness.
Stanford.....h=he was...the one....
"What do you mean 'the only way irvin could live?'?"I demanded.
Sae startled. "o-oh.. I mean. With out a master a loveless won't live very long...all loveless die with our their master.."She says, and suddenly i understand her sadness.

"You don't have a real master do you?" Alaric asked me in a soft voice.
I nodded. "I don't have anyones name on my skin...its..its very depressing sometimes..but," I force a weak smile. "Its okay...Since i don't have a master it means i can protect as many people as i want. And if i can do that, i can make them happy," I say, feeling my eyes stinging.
"I'm sorry saeyeon..but you're an idiot. Don't care for others happiness. Care for your own now, you're too young to take on such a burden."
I look down, tears escaping my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. "I can't do that...no matter what..i want to see others happy..even if i die in the end. At lest i know my life was worth something.." I sniffled.

Kody: I end up walking past the elementary school a few blocks outside the mainstream city. I walk over to where the swing sets were empty. I sat down on one and started pushing off. It reminded me of when i was younger.
I can swing higher than you!

I smile to myself. Alaric was never one to bet with me. i usually won. I glance over at where the kids were being let out. There was a group of little boys laughing and playing. then a little girl comes up to them as they pass me.
"Can i play with you?" she asks, a big smile on her face.
"No! You're a girl! Go play headspace games or something," one blonde one snaps before stalking off, his friends following after him. I frown, watching as the young girl hangs her head and walks over to a swing a few down from mine.
