Irvin : I didn't wince as the knife cut straight down from the side of my shoulder to my pelvis. Stanford's grin had dissapeard and was replaced by an angry snarl. "When you were a little boy you use to cry when i did this to you," He said, digging the razor side of the knife deeper into my chest. I clenched my jaw and moved my bound hands. "I'm not a little boy anymore," I said through gritted teeth.
A sudden, sickening smile crossed his face. "But i'm sure i can still make you cry," He laughed, pulling out another blade. this one came from an old fashion cooking stove. It was sizzling with heat, red with intensity..and it was coming my way.

Kody: I slowly sit up when the sunlight shines in my eyes. I yawn, just remembering where i was. I stroke the head of my panda gently, smiling sadly to myself. I wonder if Alaric will call this morning. he might not. i guess i could visit him later too...

Alaric : "Thank you again," I say to the doctor. The nurse insists on whealing me out. When no one is looking she stuffs her phone number in my back pants pocket. I blush but say nothing and wave. Ronald actually hugs me when i get out and i chuckle softly and pat him on the back. "Don't worry, I'm fine now. I didn't mean to worry you guys," I say, hugging back. He nodded "Good sir, good," He said. i spotted tear in his eyes but he was smiling. He helped me into the car and we were on our way back.

Kody: After i get a cup of orange juice, i set my panda on the ground underneath where my coat was hanging. I told myself i wouldn't ask him about it. i wanted to...but i wasn't going to.

Alaric : My fingers still hurt but i manage to open the door easily. "Hello?" i call inside, wondering if Kody was awake or not.

Kody: i nod, returning to the kitchen where'd i made toast. i held one in my mouth while i put away the bread and butter and grabbed my glass of orange juice. it had been awhile since i'd made food for myself, so i decided not to risk burning down his apartment and settled with toast.

Kody: I take the toast out of my mouth and set it on a plate as i walked into the living room.
"No kidding," I hesitate, but i know he's going to find it anyway. "Um, Irvin left a letter on your desk for you." I say, watching his face carefully.

Kody: I set my plate down and look over at him. "Alaric, i really think you should read it." i was only saying it because no one was here to tell him to read my letter. "What happened between you two anyway? I was surprised he wasn't with you already when i got to the hospital."

Alaric : I close my eyes tight, trying to force the memories back. The name..on his back..he didn't ever come back to me...he just left...I felt a sudden painfilled hollowness in my chest that ripped apart all of my feelings. I cringed as i felt the hollowness cut across me like a blade.

Kody: I frown, then lean forward and hug him. "Alaric," I say quietly, letting out a deep breath. I guess Irvin left sort of abruptly. the wound was still fresh. "It's going to be ok. Maybe he'll even come back," I murmur. but i had a bad feeling Irvin wouldn't. from the letter..it sounded pretty final.

Alaric : I feel Kody's arms around me but i still feel cold. Freezing. It felt like i couldn't even breathe. "Irvin.." His knife was a pure blow to the heart. The final one.

Kody: I stroke his hair and give him a quick peck on the cheek. "Do you want me to get the letter for you?" i ask him calmly.

Kody: "C'mon Alaric, don't just throw it away like you did with my panda," I blurt, then freeze. oh dear. i shouldn't have said anything. "I can tell you love him a lot, and you shouldn't just throw it away like it's nothing." I say quickly, trying to cover up what i'd said a few moments ago.
