Kody: "C'mon Alaric, don't just throw it away like you did with my panda," I blurt, then freeze. oh dear. i shouldn't have said anything. "I can tell you love him a lot, and you shouldn't just throw it away like it's nothing." I say quickly, trying to cover up what i'd said a few moments ago.

Alaric : I stare down at the floor. "What did the letter say?" I ask her. I knew her well enough, if she wanted me to see it so badly then she knew what was written inside it.

Kody: I open my mouth, then close it again. I get up stiffly and walk to his room and snatch the note off the desk. i drop it in his lap and shake my head mutely.
"Read it yourself," i say evenly. i hope he wouldn't make me read it out loud to him or something...if he didnt' read it, i might have to resort to that too...

Alaric : I take in a shaky but deep breath and look over the letter. Its hard to understand it at first until i read the third line... forever...My heart stops...i force myself to read the rest and by the end of it my eyes are full of tears and all i want to do is send myself back to the hospital...

Kody: I hold in a breath, thinking about going over and hugging him again. he just looks so lost and broken... "I know it must be hard for you to...you know, read something like that.." I remember when i wrote my letter to him. i shiver. "..but i know you're strong Alaric. I know you'll either learn to deal with it, or come up with something to stop it." I say, swallowing hard.

Alaric : How could i stop it?...Irvin...Irvin was the only stable thing i had left in the world..and he had abandond me .."He said he loves me.." i whisper, thinking that it was the cruelest joke he has ever played on me.

Kody: And i love you too, is what i want to say, but i can't. i just..i don't even know what. "I'll believe that one," I say lightly instead, sitting down on the couch next to him. "I'm sorry i made you read it. i just thought it better you read it yourself than if i were to,"

Alaric : I don't move or say a word. I just stay seated, my eyes downcast and my ears back. Forever?..he couldn't mean that could he? He said he would never leave me again. He promised..

Kody: I look over at him. He looks so miserable. i wonder what he was like when i was gone...i should go find Irvin. go find him for Alaric. I lean against his shoulder and rest my head on his shoulder.

Alaric : I don't know what to say to Kody. All i could think about was that i had betrayed Irvin to by kissing her. "I'm sorry.." I whisper, not sure who i was apologizing to just yet.
